Snowclaw nodded and mewed to the clan. "The fresh kill is bad, Spottednose has given me permission to take a hunting party to get some more. Those of you who can catch your own food and good hunters, line up by me". Cats lined up behind Snowclaw and followed him as he left the camp.

Spottednose watched the cats leave and padded back to the nursery. He tucked his paws and tail under him as he laid down, to stay warm.

Streamflower curled up beside Spottednose, the kits resting beside their parents. The white queen let a single tear escape one bright emerald eye, remembering the losses the Clan had suffered over the past few days. Shortly afterward, she surrendered herself to an uneasy sleep.

Snowclaw's ears twitched. He found a burrow and the cats he brought with him circled it. Snowclaw, with 2 other cats went into the burrow. After 5 minutes, they exited the burrow, each cat had a rabbit in their jaws. "Take these back to camp" Snowclaw instructed 3 cats. He and the rest continued their hunt

Shadowstar had a hard time getting to sleep, and the first pale light of dawn woke her. She padded out of her den and sat just outside it, watching the sun rise.

Snowclaw padded through the forest. He looked back at his group. He then looked in front of him. He saw the entrance to the camp. His group was trired from a night of hunting. They ran towards the entrance.
