She gave Spottedstar a meaningful look before she and the rest of the StarClan cats faded from view.

Hawksight watched Snowclaw leave, confused. Why is he blaming himself? It was my mother who left me to die, not him. she thought, shrugging and continuing to the mountains. It was already night, but Hawksight's keen ears would hear most danger before she scented it.

Hawksight's dark tabby pelt kept her well-hidden in the forest's shadows. She padded forward confidently, only her glowing dark amber eyes giving away her position.

After a fewminutes of waiting. Snowclaw drifted off to sleep, Unknowst to hm, he was slipping of the branch. He fell out of the tree, waking and falling on his paws. He raised him self up and tried to sniff out Hawksight, not being able to see her in the dark.

When the two cats returned, the cat on guard let out a welcoming yowl. "Spottednose--no, Spottedstar! You're back!" Streamflower came bounding out of the nursery, the four kits following not long after. The white queen was purring loudly. "Everything went well, yes?" she mewed, twining her tail with Spottedstar's.

Hawksight rolled her eyes and strolled into a patch of bracken, flattening down the stalks until she'd made a comfortable nest. She circled for a bit and finally laid down, closing her eyes.
