"I've heard of the Clans, but I was never part of one," Tyrant meowed. "I used to be a rogue. What's your name?" The black tom desperately wanted to speak with Skye again...his beloved mate. His dark blue eyes locked with the new cat's amber ones as he waited for a reply.
Hawksight hissed, "I have to find Snowclaw and get out of here..." Skye mewed, "Well you're not going without me!" Hawksight looked at the dark gray kittypet in surprise. "Why would a kittypet want to leave their Twolegs?" she asked. Skye looked embarrasses and mewed, "I wasn't always a house cat. My mate and I used to be rogues...but since we came here he hasn't been able to say a word to me." Skye's eyes became filmed with tears. "Maybe if we get back outside we'll be able to raise our kits in peace." She curled her tail around her swollen stomach, and Hawksight realized Skye was not plump--she was pregnant! "Don't worry," the tabby warrior meowed. "No matter what it takes, we'll get out of here." She scratched at the collar around her neck, hating the way it pinched her skin. "You can't get it off," Skye meowed. "Tyrant and I haven't been able to get ours off yet...and we've been in here for three moons." Hawksight sighed. "I guess I'll have to get used to being called 'Rayne' then," she mewed. "If you haven't been able to escape...who's to say Snowclaw and I will?" Skye looked away, lost for words.

"That's right," Tyrant meowed, leaping onto a couch expretly and trotting across the cushions until he reached the other side. He brushed against the wall and pressed a spot with his forepaws. A tiny door swung inward. "Through here," he mewed.
Skye and Hawksight were becoming good friends. "Why don't you and your mate join the Clan when we escape?" Hawksight meowed. "You would be welcomed." Skye's eyes widened. "You mean...we would live outside?" she mewed. The tabby warrior nodded. Skye let out a joyous mew. "Of course we'll join!" Hawksight grinned. "That's great!" she meowed.

Tyrant slapped his tail across Snowclaw's mouth, silencing him. "You want to bring the Twolegs in here?" he whispered, pricking his ears and listening for even the slightest hint of danger.
Hawksight's ears twitched. "Did you hear something? Like a yowl?" she asked Skye. The gray kittypet shook her head. "No, I didn't hear anything," she meowed. "The stress must be getting to you."

Tyrant nodded and padded over to a small opening in the wall. He sniffed it curiously and caught an unfamiliar cat scent. "That smell like her?" he asked Snowclaw.

Tyrant crouched and managed to get through the small opening. He sniffed and meowed, "Skye?"
Skye whipped around, startled but unbelievably happy. "Tyrant!" she mewed, hurling herself at her mate.
Hawksight turned, looking for her mate. "Snowclaw?" she meowed hesitantly, afraid there would be no reply.

A Twoleg came into the room. "Scatter!" Tyrant yowled, running back the way he'd come with Hawksight hot on his heels. Skye stayed in the room where she'd been put in the first place, while Tyrant ran into the room beyond Snowclaw's. Hawksight scrambled onto the cream-colored 'chair', as Skye had called it, and laid down. Her yellow collar, with the name 'Rayne' on it, was almost identical to the one on Snowclaw. His was orange and said 'Willow' on it. Hawksight had also smelled another she-cat in the Twoleg nest. Great StarClan! How many cats could one Twoleg have?

The Twoleg yowled something and stalked from the room, spitting harsh words at Skye that the poor cat couldn't understand. Tyrant and Skye heard their names called and flinched, knowing what was to happen next. A pitch black cat with blood red eyes stalked into the room Hawksight was in and sat down, meowing, "Greetings." Her voice was cold and harsh, and her eyes narrowed as she stared at Hawksight, as though she almost couldn't bear to look at the forest cat. "My Twolegs recently brought you in here..." the cat went on, glaring at Hawksight. "But you have no place here." She unsheathed her claws and hissed, "It is my job to get rid of you...permanently." Hawksight's eyes widened and she braced herself. "W-well, I don't want to be here," she snarled. The new cat chuckled. "Do you honestly think I care what you want?" she spat venemously. She stalked closer, trapping Hawksight on the chair. The dark tabby leapt down, unsheathing her claws. "If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" Hawksight snarled, bracing herself for the coming battle.

Snowclaw watched as the twoleg yowl things he didn't understand. He knew what iver it was, it wasn't good.He mewed "We have to get out of this place."
