Thorn smirked when he saw Bloodspill's face. "I know, Bloodspill, but you really aren't a true member," he explained, "Moreover, I can't have you in the Clan, because I don't want a relative threatening my position."

Bloodspill nearly cracked up. Instead, she let out a low chuckle. "Is that all?" she meowed. "I could've sworn there must've been a better reason. Very well, I'll leave. I've always been a rogue anyways."

Thorn growled, "Oh, who said you would be leaving?" some other cats slowly moved to encircle Bloodspill and a very confused Claw. "You see, I can't exactly let you live, now can I? You could easily come back and usurp me, and I can't afford to take that risk. I'm sorry, but you're punishment will be that of Claw's: death!"

Bloodspill suddenly couldn't hold it back. She laughed, for the first time in over seven moons. The sound that was warm for most others sounded ice cold coming from her. "Why would I come back here?" she meowed when she had finished. She looked around at the cats surrounding her with a blank expression and unsheathed her claws. Upon further inspection, they were strengthened with dog's teeth. I am not afraid of death, she thought, curling her upper lip into a snarl. But I'm also not afraid to fight back!

Thorn shrugged. "I can't take that risk. BloodClan: kill them!" The cats lept at the two with yowls of fury and attacked. Claw leaped at them, not caring for his safety, clawing and biting at any of them that got too close.

Bloodspill let out a ferocious yowl and gripped a cat's throat in her jaws. She reared up onto her hindlegs and slammed it into the ground full force. She whirled around and slashed another across the muzzle with her claws, oddly calm in the heat of battle.

Bristle came at Bloodspill from behind, latching his jaws on the scruff of her neck and tossing her, making the she-cat slide across the ground into the tree-stump, where Thorn watch calmly.

Bloodspill snarled, turned and pounced on the cat who'd attacked her. She fastened her teeth in the skin on his throat and started clawing his belly with her hind claws.

Bloodspill bit down harder, letting out a muffled growl as she jabbed her claws into her opponent's stomach.

Bristle slashed Bloodspill across the muzzle, wrenching himself free. He backed away, turning to run, but ran right into Claw. The two rolled over and over in the dirt, slashing and biting furiously. Thorn lept at Bloodspill from behind, pinning her. He growled, "You don't get it, do you? You're going to die, and your little companion will soon join you!"

Bloodspill glared at her father. "Can you not kill me yourself, father?" she growled. "Your own flesh and blood? And what of Claw? Has he not been a loyal warrior?"

Bloodspill hissed, "Fool! The only cat I ever loved at all was Lithium, but where has that gotten me? As for Claw, funny you should support him after betraying him!"

"I may not know him well," Bloodspill hissed, "but I do know that he is not a traitor. Look at your Clan! Any other would say that you are all the traitors...to your family." her voice shook as she added, "Does power really mean more than your own daughter?"

Thorn thought for a moment. He mewed, "Who said I don't care for my family? I cared for Lithium, but you and the rest of my children were unprecedented! After Lithium died, I didn't care for them, because I never wanted them! You would have been better off staying away from here!"

A soft pelt brushed Thorn's and a voice whispered, "Look where you've ended up, love." Brilliant blue eyes stared into Thorn's as a starry cat sat down in front of the BloodClan leader. Bloodspill's eyes widened in shock. "Mother." Her whisper was barely audible.

Thorn was shocked. He stammered, "L-Lithium?"

Claw kicked Bristle away and looked over at Thorn who was staring at... something, but he couldn't see what it was. Most of the other cats paused as well.

Lithium wrapped her tail neatly around her paws, still watching Thorn. Bloodspill didn't atempt to kick her father off, watching in shock as two more cats joined her mother. "Darkbird...Nightmoon," she murmured. "Hello, father," Darkbird meowed. Lithium bowed her head and murmured, "StarClan is with you...always. Even when you think we're not watching you, we are."

Darkbird and Nightmoon exchanged amused glances, while Lithium smiled. "Of course," the black she-cat meowed. Bloodspill pushed herself to her paws, still staring at her family. "Death is nothing to fear, if you believe in StarClan, Darkbird mewed, while Lithium nodded.
