Firestreak stopped finally, the scent strongest now. He saw a large creature near the cliff, recognizing the fur they found on the branch from the first attack. Firestreak glanced down at the water below, seeing Bloodspill struggling in the water. He yowled, the yowl meaning for the rest of the warriors to help Bloodspill. Firestreak turned to face the creatures, snarling and leaping forward, landing a few feet from it, racking his claws down its leg before jumping back, trying his best to distract the beast...

Claw, who was following, ran to the edge of the cliff and did his best to slide down the steep slope as quickly as possible without falling...

The bear turned, snarling, and knocked the cat flying with a swipe of its long-clawed paw. It got into an attack stance, eyes burning.
Bloodspill struggled to keep her head above the water, choking and spluttering. She yowled again, though it was weaker this time, and her struggles were growing more feeble.

Firestreak snarled in pain, jumping to his paws with some effort. He yowled, running forward, fainting to one side, leaping back to the other side, pouncing onto the bear's side, racking his claws down its side, biting into it's flesh, knowing he couldn't win. He had to bide the others time and do as much damage as possible...

Claw overcomed the urge to back away from the water once he had alnded and waded in, gasping in shock at the cold water. Once he was up to his belly, he lunged out and barely got Bloodspill by the scruff as she passed by him. He pulled her up onto the bank, his paws slipping on the smooth sand. After getting her on dry land, he colapsed, gasping with exhaustion.

Bloodspill coughed and vomited up a mouthful of lakewater, breathing heavily. She didn't try to speak, instead choosing to ley where she was, shivering.
The bear bellowed in pain and raked its own claws down the gray cat's side, snarling, "All cats die!"

Claw looked up at the fight between the bear and Firestreak and back down at Bloodspill, eventually deciding to stay there and help her with anything. The other cats could help Firestreak.
The rest of the cats that had followed Firestreak leapt at the bear, clawing and slashing at it.

Get...back... Firestreak snarled to the other warriors, standing shakily, the slash on his side making it painful to move. Make...make sure Claw and Bloodspill are ok... he snarled, glaring at the bear. Your hatred for cats has nothing to do with ThunderClan. Firestreak snarled, eyes blazing. He yowled loudly, bounding toward the bear, launching himself at the creature, landing on its neck, racking all four clawed paws across its chest and neck.

"Get off," Bloodspill snarled weakly. "I'm fine." She tried to sit up again, struggling against Claw and feeling her energy start to drain away.
The bear snarled and shook, sending the gray cat to the ground. "All cats kill big brother," it snarled. "Bear kill all cats." It lunged forward to deal a death blow, and was knocked back by another cat. Ambercloud bravely snarled and tried to bite the bear's throat.

Your foolishness will be your greatest mistake... Firestreak snarled, once again standing, giving Ambercloud a look of respect, bounding back over to the bear, slashing its sides from the ground, hopping from side to side, trying to avoid the bears attacks as best he could...

The bear had had enough. With a loud roar, it gripped the cream and brown cat by the throat and hurled it into the gray cat, knocking both cats to the ground and stunning the siamese cat. "Foolish cats die," she bear rasped, lunging at Ambercloud. There was a screech that was cut off with a sickening crunch, followed by an ominous silence. Its work done, the bear lumbered off towards the mountains.

Firestreak eyes widened as the sound of bones braking sounded through the forest, the gray tom snarling, frustrated. He glared after the bear, knowing better to attack it if it was retreating, but wished to tear the creature appart. Firestreak snarled, his wounds causing him to stumble slightly as he tryed to move. He steadied himself finally, deeply sorrowful at the lose of a fine warrior. Firestreak gave a sorrowful yowl in respect of Ambercloud's death, before finally going silent, deep in thought.

The cat had finally gotten back to ThunderClan camp and told Spottedstar of the news. He yowled, "Stormtail! Get down there and do what you can to help Bloodspill and any wounded!"

Firestreak padded off toward Bloodspill and Claw, walking around the cliff, trying to find level ground to get to their position. As he reached them, he eyed the two to see if they were ok, the large wound on his side sending a surge of pain through his body, Firestreak snarling quietly to himself. He stopped a few feet from the two, blood dripping onto the sand from his wounds. Are you two ok? Firestreak mewed, ignoring his own wounds, giving Claw a blank, yet concerned stare.

Recognition flashed in Bloodspill's eyes, though she said nothing. She was too exhausted to move, let alone speak.
