Steeltalon nodded and walked forward cautiously, following Sandstorm, Softfoot and Shadowleaf. She paused and scented the air every now and then, wondering if they were being followed. She was getting nervous. She had never been this far from the cave before. "Even I don't know what's here," she muttered quietly. "I don't like this."

She snapped her head up and let out a throaty growl when she caught a faint smell. She scented the air, and immediately recognised egg-eater. "Egg-eaters... they've not touched this nest," she muttered, taking a pace toward the smell. She barked, "Softfoot, I found a nest, old and abandoned, but it defintately belonged to other raptors. The eggs are rotting, but no egg-eaters have eaten them." She blinked, confused. "What should we do? I've never seen anything like this..."

Shadow enjoyed his meal "i feel sleepy all of a sudden" Shadow picked up the baby parasaur and dragged it to his favorite tree. "I was being foolish today..fighting Crusher. At least Crusher has a family" Shadow lay his head down and fell asleep.

Listening in on the conversation Diablo decided to show himself. In a mix of colours he apeared at the tree side, he would come out fully yet. It was just his nature to be kind of shy. Either way he doesn't trust people all the time at first glance.

Crusher looked at his Grandfather, who walked forward, and growled "I am Tornado. Crusher's last remaining family elder. i am his grandfather, and the oldest Rex on the island. i was the first creature to be brought to this land by the humans". Crusher looked at him surprised. this was a bit of information even he didn't know yet. Crusher then looked at Fury, waiting for a response. he had spotted Diablo on the edge of the clearing, but he didn't respond. Whether he came up to them or not was his choice, but Crusher didn't think that he would, being the shy Carnotaur that he was...

Fatalis looked at her, and hissed "If the egg eaters haven't eaten them, there's almost definately something wrong with them. i'd keep away from them if i were you. I suggest we keep going. if, after this little patrol, they haven't been taken away by some other animal, we'll drop them in that hole Night's body is in."...

Sandstorm turned around and barked "Its just an old nest, we have to keep moving, Clawfist wants us all back to hear what he finds the socond hes back. As for egg-eaters, that scentis probobley from some survivours of an oviraptor pack we raided a while back. Clawfist will probobley have some news on them." Thye kept moving eager to cover the last bit of land they neede to scout.

Steeltalon nodded and sprinted ahead. She carefully scanned the land before scenting the air. Nothing out of the ordinary, she thought, letting the breath out in a soft sigh. But still, this place could be dangerous.

She sifted through the leaf litter, looking for anything she could use to remember this place. When she picked up the sharp scent of pine, she realized there was a huge pine tree right in front of her. She tasted the air again. No predators. That was good. She spun around and started heading back to the patrol, eager to tell them what she'd found.

"A huge pine tree, a clearing and what sounds like another small stream," she reported. "No scents of predators but the prey-scent is strong. It looks good." She blinked slowly. "But I didn't see it all. There could be something dangerous hidden there. I didn't smell anything like that though."

Yeah, that's the truth, she thought, eyes flicking from one tree to another. But why do I feel like we're being watched?

Fatalis sniffed the air, taking in the scents around him. he couldn't smell much other than the strong scent of pine, unusual in this area of the island, the smell of many herbivorous dinosaurs and the all too common scent of Compies. he could hear the trickle of a stream nearby, and the roar of a waterfall a few kilometers away, in Crusher's territory, feeding the deep river that was once home to Spinosaurs until Crusher reclaimed it. Fatalis mentioned these things to the patrol group, and after hearing what Steeltalon had said, decided that there wasn't much else out there. he hissed "Well, now this area's been checked out fairly well, why dont we check the rest, if it hasn't been checked already? Steeltalon, why dont we double back on your part and check the bits you didn't see? the more you know about the area, the better. you go on ahead, i'll watch from above". at that, he jumped hard, launching himself upwards and landing in the branch of a tree. he then waited for any response from the pack. if there was none, he would go with Steeltalon to make sure the area che went to was completely clear...

above in the trees, the 2 beings continued to watch the pack quietly, their scents completely masked by th surroundings. their age made them practically a part of the world around them, their original reptilian scent fading to make way for the scent of trees, making them indetectable. their skill in movement aquired from age giving them complete ease of movement where others of their kind would find difficulty. they were the most perfect of their kind...

Softfoot turned round and snaped " Will the two of you cam down! nothing is watching us and nothing is going to just jump down and kill us!" She snorted and continued ahead. Sandstorm barked to Fatalis "Brother!, you should stick too the ground, in an attack you dont want to be caught in a tree. better to be on the ground to go as fast as you can."

Steeltalon noded again and sped through the trees to the area she had scanned. "here," she barked, gaze raking the treetops again. "I don't think there's anything here, but you're right. The more we know, the better off we are." She crept over to a clump of ferns.

Compy. Nothing unusual about that. she thought, trying to ignore the creeping sensation that someone--or something--was watching them. She thrust further into the undergrowth. There was the stream, smaller than the one it branched from but the water was crystal clear. She sniffed it warily before daring to take a drink. It was good, but somewhat silty. She barked an all-clear and started back again.

Diablo almost wanted to back into the forest again. The other large rex had a daunting. intimidateing quality to himself. It just didn't seem natural. This island was nothing like he thought it was. Their were freaks, and mutants everywere. Diablo didn't know who to trust. Yet he often found himself following Crusher, like a sort of pet. It annoyed him but he couldn't stop doing it. The animal was rather... Diablo couldn't put a finger on a word to discribe it. One momment he is wandering by himself, the next he is trying to find Crusher. Here he was again, standing by Crusher. Diablo susspected that the trex didn't notice much of it yet, but it was porbably going to be inevitable in the future.

Crusher finally decided to introduce Fury. he looked to his side and growled "Diablo! Come here! i want you to meet an old friend of mine!". Crusher was starting to feel guilty about still not giving him the fighting lesson. Today he thought. Today I'll teach him how to defend himself...

Yay i am BACK!! I have not been posting a while been to busy playing PS3 and i have ALOT of homework, i did'nt even finish my maths and fell asleep at 1 am  . Anyway Enough about my life and onto the RPG!

Destrelius' eyes opened slowly, she found it hard to move and her body was stiff. Guessing by her hunger she had been out cold for a couple of days. Her toe still hurt and was swolen, but not as bad as before. She stood slowly as the early morning rays darted along her spine. She let out a large yawn and had no idea what had been going on in the last couple of days. But enough about the last couple of days, she was famished. In need of food and water. After wandering for a short while she came to a large water hole and was greeted by the grunting of herbivores as they scampered away from her. She lowered her head and opened her mouth and drunk from the water. This was refreshing her, she would need lots to replace all the water that she needed. After a long five minutes of dozing and a lttle rest she headed off towards the game trail. She was too injured to hunt, maybe she could hunt injured, sick, old or even scavenge some food. Whichever gave her the best option. When she finally lumbered out into the open plane of the game trail she straight away caught the scent of a carcass across the other side of the trail, she walked for a couple minutes and then the carcass cae into view. She came up to it and sniffed it to see if it was rotten or not. It was not rotten, she took a big chunk out and ate the remains of the body and left mostly bone. She thought she should find out what has happened in the last couple of days so lumbered off to crushers teritory...

Fury jumped at the site of the Carno. You always seem to make the oddest friends Crusher..... Fury growled. He then turned to the Carno and growled, Hello, I am Fury. I am an old friend of Crushers.

Ysera stepped toward the Carno menacingly, but Fury growled to her that he was not an enemy. She backed of, still annoyed at all of these new predators. So hows the family? Hunter? Rampage? Fury growled. He waited for a responce...

Soft foot stood alone watching the charca. The rest of the raptors inculding steeltalon were in the trees above him, having smelt the charca a while back she had ordered them up there.

She took a step back and growled camly, "I am are scouting this area, I wasnt aware that you lived here, and I am quite suprised by your reaction to me. You should know from your fight with the rex that you shouldnt just jump out and attack everything you see. I mean no harm but I will call my comrades if you want a fight. If you let me pass I will return to me pack and warn them not to approach this area again. Sorry for the disturbance." She got ready to sprint away if the charca tried to attack her. She was well able to sprint through forests at high speeds as a result of all the races they had and she was sure she could escape him if necessary.

Name: Gargan
Age: 23
Species: Giganotosaurus
Length: average
Weight: average
Gender: Male

History: He has raised himself from a 4 year old juivinile self independantly, and as he is a lone Gigantosaur, taking down prey can be extremely dangerous.

Personality: Intelegent but also arogent, uses his speed and agility rather than his strenth to over come the worst and succesfuly hunt his prey. Agressive and dangerous if enraged.

Description: Green with a redish snout. 2 small orange stripes from his upper spine.

He silently hunts through the forest, he keeps his eyes stretched in place. He sniffes the dry air. "I must find meat soon" he whispered. He turns around, noticing before him a lone Parasaur, sniffing at a large rock. Luckily, because of Gargans green skin, he blends in nicely to the trees. Crouching down, he now prepares to attack. "Its not that often fresh meat comes into my grasp like this" he snarled. The Parasauralophus turned around, shocked. He dived in, graplling onto the Parasaurus's thick scaley skin, pressing his sharp teeth deeper into the neck of the agitated Parasaur. As the Para squeeled for its life before Gargan attempted to finish it off, it fell to the floor and unintensionaly thrusted its powerful legs into Gargans left eye. He roared and let go of the practicly dead Para, and stumbled down a hill. He just managed to lift himself up, with only his right eye open, he looked about. A large pack of 5 Certasaurs, one slightly injurd (they had attempted to canibalise). "Ha, you must be joking. Why in your perfetic little lives would you even think of chalenging me!?" But one of the Certasaurs charged forward because of hunger, and so the others follwed...........

Crusher growled "They're well. Hunter would probably like to meet you again. you two were like brothers when you lived with us". Crusher decided he'd take Fury to the nest, and then go off with Diablo to teach him what he needed to know about fighting...

Fatalis looked at the Carcha as it walked off. he growled quietly "That creature is really strange...i've never seen a predator act like that before. charging into your territory and claiming it's his, then changing his mind and deciding it isn't, and leaving again...very strange. still, maybe he's just confused. probably only just woke up...". he decided he'd had enough of going with the raptors. he had now assured himself that he didn't want to be in a pack. he went up to Sandstorm, and hissed "I'm leaving. i cant stand working with others as a pack. i dont enjoy life as much. i'm going to explore the pack's territory, and i'll return later with my findings, before leaving the territory completely". boredom had taken it's toll on his mood. he didn't like working with other raptors in packs, and preffered to explore the island freely, meeting the other Lone Wolves and sharing experiences, stories, warning eachother of threats and so on...
