RPG Requests

Postby The Kingpin » Sat Aug 26, 2006 10:11 pm

ladies and gentlemen, and whatever else crawls into this forum :P , i have decided to add a request thread so that we can limit the "low quality RPGs" made.

RPGs planned:

Lord of the Rings RPG [If requested by more than 3 people]
Pirates of the Caribbean [if requested by more than 3 people]

any suggestions will be checked and confirmed or denied depending on how many people say they want it and what the RPG's topic is. ALL MEMBERS MUST CHECK THIS THREAD WHEN THEY SEE NEW POSTS. if more than 3 people ask for an RPG, after it has been requested, me or one of the mods will give the OK to make it. RPGs abandoned for more than 6 months will be deleted. RPGs that turn into arguments will be moderated, with the people involved in the argument being warned. if an argument starts on the same RPG 3 times, the RPG will be deleted. RPGs that go off topic for 1 whole page will be locked and a warning will be sent to the author to get his/her RPG back on track, which, if not responded to within 1 week, will result in the deletion of the RPG.
thank you for reading this. remember: this site was made for the pleasure of its members, not mine. it was made for those who couldn't RP on normal websites because of the attention stealing nature of RPGs. no one want's to lose an RPG they like, so follow these rules, and please try to post in the other forums aswell. all RPG Requests are to be made here. not in Private Messages to me or the mods.

I agree with the rules, for the most part, but I'm not so sure about the 48 hours rule. What if, for example, power is out in your area for a long time, or you're on vacation without internet access?

Also, I would like to see a POTC RPG, not so sure if I'll play though.

well, with the 48 hour rule, i'll change it to one week. that better :) ?
everyone agree with this change?

and as for the PotC RPG, who else want's it? [this is a question to everyone.] if more than 3 people want it, your clear to make it  .

Well I don't really agree with that but I'm more of a freedom type person, I usually never agree with rules so you can't expect me to be happy with them but I'll deal with it 8)

Well, I agree that arguments should be stopped at once. But if it's one person who is constantly pissing everyone off 'cause he or she can't RP within certain expectations, then THAT person should be dealt with.

very true, sherrif :) .
@ One of Them: these rules are just to make sure everyone plays and sticks to the RPGs, instead of going off-track with arguments and conversations. i mean, what's the point of...a Pirates of the Caribbean RPG, for example, if the players start talking about animals in brazil [just a random idea...]? people talking on and on and on about animals in brazil, then, when one of the RPG players finally wants to get back on topic, s/he says: where'd the playing bit of the RPG go? back one page, 2 pages, 3 pages 4 pages and you finally find it. what would we do with an RPG like that? we'd have to either delete it, or lock it [waste's space. if its useless and unused, we delete] or go split it.
anyway, anyone else want to ask for a PotC RPG?

I'll join the POTC RPG. I just have one question. Can my character just be a citizen of Port Royal who wishes to become a pirate? She won't have a ship.

sure, but if you don't get a ship, your not going to get many adventures...

you could "comandeer a ship, using an NPC friend to help...
