Crusher growled "Reaper?...Goldfang's father...well, come with me. i am going to the clearing where the Raptor was pinned, to meet up with Fatalis the Raptor. after that, he'll go to the Lone Wolves waiting to the north and prepare to lead them. meanwhile, i have a little favour to ask of an old friend. after i'm done, i have an attack to make. at the end of that attack we should meet up with Goldfang. after that, you talk to him and then it's your business. it could prove a useful experience for you". Crusher waited for a response...
Fatalis had arrived at a clearing, where 4 Raptors waited. 3 of them standing, and the 4rth pinned under a boulder by the tail. "Fatalis you traitorous snail! i'll kill you!". Fatalis hissed "It was your mistake to follow the pack in it's false assumptions that I was the cause for the attack". Echo barked "You WERE the cause, Fatalis! you and your mindless playing and racing with Exile and Blade led that accursed Spinosaur right to us! and now, only 15 of our pack survive! not including you or your friends!". Fatalis hissed "It came from the opposite side of the nest to where we played!". Echo hissed "It could easily have gone around the nest and attacked!". Fatalis growled "Trust me, Echo. you know how much i loved our family. do you think i would ever lead the Spinosaur to the pack? You are my older brother. my role model. the one i always looked at for help and advice. the one of my siblings i loved dearly. i loved you as well as the rest of our family. do you think i would EVER lure a predator to us?". Echo went silent. he was surprised, and he was being ripped apart by an emotional pain that was difficult to fight. he knew exactly how much Fatalis loved his family. of all his siblings and all the ones since, none of them loved his family as much as Fatalis. in fact, he was chosen as the follower of Echo as leader of the pack. he was the heir after Echo. he was the family's most trusted and loved member. his father trusted him with everything. even seemingly impossible kills would be given to him because of their trust of him. he had been asked to take down a young Triceratops when he was only 2 years old. and he did it. the kill fed the pack for 2 days. he was Echo's most beloved sibling. when he was cold, Echo stood close to him to keep him warm. when he was frightened at night by thunder and lightning, Echo calmed him. when he had been kidnapped by a small Troodon, Echo stopped it, took him back and made sure the Troodon wouldn't see the light of day ever again. everything that made Fatalis superior to other raptors, Echo had taught him. deep inside, he knew that Fatalis and his childhood playmates weren't the ones responsible for it. but several years of having the bitter non-family pack members forcing Midnight and himself, as well as the rest of the family, under the threat of death, to believe it was Fatalis' fault, had forced them into believing it. now, it had almost completely taken over their own, personal beliefs. Echo stuttered "..No...No you wouldn't...I....I know...I know Fatalis... I know". Fatalis' expression immediately softened. he had seriously thought that he may have to kill his own brother. "Then why are you and the old pack members after me? Why does our father hunt me like this?" hissed Fatalis. "Because the pack's forcing him. they've been forcing him and the rest of our family since the attack. forcing us to believe it was your fault. our father's been under that pressure so long he nearly believes it. and now, i wont be able to go back...if i do...i'll be killed...im an outsider...". Fatalis hissed "Your welcome with us, Echo. Your welcome with the Lone Wolves". the raptors around them looked at him in surprise. their expressions seemed to indicate something like "Are you insane?!", though Fatalis couldn't tell for sure. but he didn't care. Echo's true self had returned. this was the Echo he knew when he was a youngster. not the evil, cold hearted killer that had built over him. he knew that this Echo would be one to be trusted with his own life. Fatalis put his head over Echo's back as he faced him, a sign of effection among Raptors. Echo returned the gesture. the other 3 were half expecting Echo to bite him on the back, but no attack came. Echo hissed quietly "Can someone release me? i feel very uncomfortable with my tail under this boulder". Fatalis nodded. he looked at the Raptors, and hissed "help me move it". the Raptors hesitantly moved towards Fatalis, and together they prepared to do a jumping Ram to move the boulder. they charged, and jumped, and rammed it with their sides, but it didn't work. they attempted several more times, but they couldn't do it. it was too heavy. Fatalis hissed "My friend, Crusher, will be back soon. when he does get back, he'll move it for us". Echo smiled. "You've learned our lessons well, Fatalis. an aly of Crusher? your probably one of the most powerful raptors on the island merely because your allied to him". Fatalis nodded, and barked "He's known Exile and Blade long before he knew me...they are the powerful ones. Alpha Raptors AND allied to Crusher...". Echo nodded...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
