Kard immediately turned to Icil, dropping Ivan onto the ground and approaching her. He examined the wound, looking at it closely and planning his approach.
"Brace yourself, Icil..." he said and he grabbed the bolt tightly. "This might sting a bit."
But just as he was about to wrench the bolt free, he saw Ivan rise to his feet, looknig as if nothing had happened to him. The old man turned to them, before he spoke.
"Wait," the man said. "Let me do it."
Kard was shocked, but complied. The old man stomped over to Icil, before he grabbed onto the bolt with surprising strength. His hand became a golden yellow, and suddenly, the bolt became disenchanted of its soul eating properties. Using his other hand, he placed a charm to null the pain in the bolt's general location, before he pulled it out with surprising ease for an old man. Kard, in all respects, was shocked.
"Let the master spellcaster do what he does best," the old man said as he tossed the bolt aside. Smiling, he then continued his march into the catacombs. Kard nudged Icil, looking at her in a bit of a confused fashion. "I've... never seen him so lively before. It's... wierd." The warrior then walked slowly, waiting for Icil follow...
Agamemnon, broken and battered, let out a cry as the two collided with the earth. The king of the Shadowreavers roared, his form ruined beyond what any normal creature, shadowreaver or not, should endure. Yet the king continued to fight. Even as the being's form began to disintegrate, becoming one with the shadowy realm, blowing away like a dusty structure in a strong breeze, the progenitor of his species would fight till the bitter end. From his broken face, a beam of purplish energy lanced out, slicing across the opposing dragon's visage like a demonic blade. His wings, the only things that remained in their original shape on his ruined form, wrapped themselves around the dragon like a grim cloak, their dark embrace threatening to destroy the beast with the dying king. His tail lashed about like a beheaded snake, slithering around to find a target to strike, to make it endure the unending agony its master was enduring...
Dhoulmagus was breathing just as deeply, in a mixture of anger and pain, the beast's head looking in the direction of Radamand. Suddenly, Dhoulmagus' hands became shrouded in a bluish gleam, as his form began to glow as well. The monster let out a roar, tentacles writhing out, mangled beyond recognition from their initial state, before, just as suddenly, Radamand's head became engulfed with a simialr aura. His mind was suddenly and unceremoniously breached, as horrific images graced his mind, the thundering bellow of Dhoulmagus shaking the very foundations of his being, threatening to tear his mind apart.
"GIVE IN TO YOUR DESPAIR!" Dhoulmagus roared in Radamand's mind, the nightmare only getting worse, as it showed the death of all those he had become attached to, the failure of the alliance, and Eredar's conquest of Aster. The Dream Eater was not only trying to devour his being, but break his will in case he managed to escape Dhoulmagus' powerful hallucination. "SURRENDER TO ME AND MY LORD, AND YOU SHALL LIVE FOR AN ETERNITY! DEFY MY WILL, AND YOU SHALL SUFFER THE TORMENT OF YOUR GREATEST NIGHTMARES FOREVER!!!"
Nitsunobue growled. "You flatter me, Archdemon..."
With a bellow, Nitsunobue charged forward, horns lowered to gore his foe...
