looking up at the moonlit sky, the young man sighed. he had only just returned from a 'hunt' outside of the city. he had finally taken down the organisation whose actions had led to him being completely alone since he was a child. it had been a winding, difficult road, and he had gained some skills as a result. no longer was he totally dependant on his powers. now he had skills to use in case they failed. and yet, still, he felt something was missing. life till now had been a simple revenge streak with nothing else worth mentioning. he lived on bare minimums, and typically made the homes of criminals he killed his temporary haven. what little money or food he found there he usually rationed until he found another apartment. it was a disgusting living considering the kind of things said apartments were usually located and used for, but it rarely mattered. the only thing he used them for was a source of sustinence. he missed his old apartment with the large windows and gentle breeze, clean tables and comfortable bed, warm showers and tasteful decoration, but he knew that if he stayed there he'd eventually be attacked by some randomer looking for a fight, as had happened repeatedly before he left. still, it was locked up and he made sure a portion of his income was given to keep it in his name, just in case he needed it in the future. he was never too picky about how he lived. in the end it was only a short few decades before this life was over and whatever was after that came. why waste time complaining about how one lived when it was only going to be felt for such a short time? so instead he benefitted others in the city by preying on the small time thugs that plagued it. in that way, he got his sustinence via whatever they had in their apartments or rooms in eedy motels, and the citizens of this metropolis were left one criminal less any time he needed to move. as Gaara looked up at the darkness above, he wondered what his parents would be thinking if they could see him now....and what his brother would do if he were alive.....
Meanwhile, in the penthouse suite of Electrotek Inc.'s HQ, Don Valentino sat back and relaxed., pleased at his most recent achievement. using a few sneaky tricks and some planted intel here and there, he had both maneuvered himself and all he owned out of the way of a vengeful kid AND, given said kid a map to each and every one of his former rivals. he had successfully wiped out all the Order's executives and paved the way for himself as the new head of the Organisation, as well as put all those he deemed worthy in a position to take an Executive seat for themselves. he had the Order in the palm of his hands, he had evaded any risk posed to himself, and nobody in the world could ever hope to untangle the enormous mess of lies and half-truths he'd weaved. he had literally created a truth he wanted, to replace one that was originally there. and now, with the number of failsafes, it'd be impossible to follow the trail back to him. even the way he had applied these decoys were via a ghost identity leading to an Official down in Brazil. so even if someone figured out that the Order still had someone in leadership, it would be the Brazilian official that ended up taking the blame rather than himself. life was good, and ripe for the taking...though he was considering leaving for a city less plagued by these...mutants, than this...perhaps LA....or San Diego....perhaps in Washington...maybe even out of the country...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
