The man was gone from the spot, a shadow zipping along the ground before the man appeared behind the sand wielding human. "A soldier who follows orders blindly is a fool, but a soldier who fights for what he believes in...is another story entirely..." the man said, head inches from the sand wielding man's. He grabbed him by the back of the neck, hand clenching as the sand shielding his head exploded in a puff of smoke. Around them, ice shot up, encasing them in a dome of ice, the ice itself hard as diamonds, blocking out the sand. "Hand to hand is the basis to all combat...only a fool trusts his life to a weapon..." the man said, shards melting in his hand...

"And i assume you believe in killing girls because they saw something that is getting so typical she'll probably forget it before long?" said Gaara, his hands being lifted up to hold onto the man's arm, grabbing on tight and hurling him forward, slamming him into the wall of the ice dome. "Oh, and this dome isn't part of your weapon? your speed, use of shadows and ability to manipulate ice makes hand to hand an almost impossible option. your very body is your weapon, in much greater of a way than mine is to me. fighting like that would give you the unfair advantage" said Gaara as the ground began to crack as the sand surrounded the ice dome, pressing inwards, keeping all but the top covered, quickly crushing the ice under the force of it. Gaara raised his hands up, assuming a combat pose. he usually had the sand do his work for him, but if hand to hand was what the man wanted, he'd be glad to give him what he asked. his armour was quickly recovered as he prepared himself. he knew the man was faster than he was, and most likely had super strength to go with the speed, but if things got out of hand, Gaara knew he had plenty of weapons up his sleeves to even the odds...

The man stood, flexing his neck. "Indeed it is, but when I meant hand to hand combat, I meant hand to hand combat, not using some freak power to gain the upper hand." he said, frowning, arms crossed. "Gender is as important as articles of clothing in this matter, if its a target, I'll kill it." The man said, licking his fangs. He lunged forward, slamming his fist into his enemy's stomach, twisting around to grab the back of his neck, slamming him head first into the wall of ice, holding him in place with one hand.

Gaara swung his leg back and up, hitting the man on the back with such force it made him arch backwards, before tripping him and twisting as the man fell, kicking him away, the force of the blow pinning him to the wall on the other side of the dome. "I wasn't gesturing to the gender. i was pointing more to the age factor here. and regardless, the fact still stands: strange events are happening all over the place lately. hell, the dome of ice around us right now is strange. but with the number of OTHER strange events occuring, it, like the mechs, will swiftly be forgotten"...

"There is still the risk, fool." The man growled, swinging around, kicking the man in the jaw. Moving forward, he punched the man's stomach, grabbing him by the throat, lifting him up off of his feet, grip tightening.

Gaara swung a leg up, connecting with the man's stomach as Gaara practically walked up the man's chest, kicking him in the face as he backflipped to the ground, swinging round in a low roundhouse kick to trip the man. "Enough with your excuses. you're just a killing machine that enjoys taking orders from a bloodthirsty boss" he said...

Yoruichi had begun humming to herself to take her mind off of the pain of her wounds. The sound was soft but sweet, though a mere shadow of what her mother's voice had been.

Legato sat kneeled waiting for a descent shot but the way the two were fighting was making it difficult. Savren, get the girl. Without a backwards glance the leopard ran over to the girl and lifted her onto his back, then he ran off in a seemingly random direction trying to escape the area.

The man caught himself with one arm, leg sweeping the man, getting to his feet. He thrust his foot forward, hitting the man's throat, putting more and more pressure on the man's throat. Suddenly, he stopped, eyes widening. "We will have to continue this..another time." he said, taking his foot off of the man, the ice barrier around them exploding violently, splattering sand and ice everywhere. One shard of ice whizzed through the air, hitting the back of the leopard's leg, the man moving his hands in a few directions as he walked toward the girl and leopard, ice shard, still digging into its skin, starting to move around, cutting deeper, the man's intentions to make the leg useless...

sand formed a wall in front of the man, a large, fist-like formation bursting from it, knocking the man back with such force he was slammed into a truck, slamming right into the middle of it with enough force to make it swing in from both sides, encasing him in metal and sending the entire thing barreling away. in the chaos, Gaara had had a grain of sand planted on each of Legato's team, Yoruichi and Legato himself, to make tracking easier. "Get moving" said Gaara as he looked over his shoulder, eying Legato and his men, then Yoruichi. "I'll keep him busy" he added sinisterly as he turned to face the ball of steel and glass that had been hurtled through a wall and down a large hallway in a large building just outside the carpark...

An ice shard stabbed into the man's chest, moving at high speeds around his body, ripping and tearing at the sand protecting him. Two more ice shards soared through the air with incredible speed, this time plunging into the man's flesh, expanding and exploding unlike the other one. The man lept out of the hole, standing up slowly as he grabbed one arm with the other, a low crack echoing around the area, the man flexing both arms. "Foolish people..." he growled, shaking his head in disappointment.

the sand pressed in on the ice that tried stretching the wounds, overpowering it and closing up around it. Gaara was panting, several red tints on his clothing. the fight had tired him somewhat, and the recent hand to hand combat hadn't helped. "The only fool here is you" said Gaara coldly as an explosion of sand came from the gourd, which now had disappeared completely as the earth shook, grey sand mixing with the bright tan sand of the desert, a wall of sand shooting towards the ice wielder, streams of it emerging from the wall and forming blades, slashing at the man and ripping ferociously, leaving several deep wounds all over his body, parts of his clothing being ripped off completely as the blades of sand ripped at him. sand suddenly reached up under him, locking around his legs and lifting him up, before slamming him sideways into a wall, ripping a long line through it and out the other side, hurling the man right into a minibus, the vehicle and the man being sent away as sand poured in around it, pressing inwards, beginning to crush the vehicle. at the rate things were going, the twisted metal of the bus would rip the man apart before the sand crushed him, despite it being all around him at the moment, entering every space it could find...

Once again, the man stood behind the sand wielding man, completely unphased by his many wounds. "Are you quite done? Or will we continue this pointless fight for the rest of eternity?" he said, grabbing the back of his neck as he jammed a shard of ice into his back, the power of the attack braking through the sand as it plunged into his flesh, though getting through the sand had lessened the power of the attack by the time it reached his flesh. Dragging the ice knife down, he threw the man aside with immense force, sending him crashing through the second story window of a nearby building...

sand piled up behind the man as a voice said "I'm not done yet". Gaara was standing there, sand pouring down from him as he stood to his feet. a blade suddenly jammed into the man's back, slashing upwards surprisingly fast, the wound deep, blood seeping from it as Gaara roundhouse kicked the man as sand caught him, before slamming him into the side of a car. "I have my own plans for that girl. chances are, she'll die during those plans anyway. you should be thanking me for saving you the trouble" said Gaara as he walked forward, his sand armour now twice as strong as it was last time. he was unphased by the many wounds he had recieved, even though it was quite a strain on his body. he didn't know how long he'd be able to keep the ice wielder occupied before he had to retreat. "Legato, get moving NOW" said Gaara as he kept walking, not even looking at the Demon...

The man got up, ice freezing the sand near him in place, allowing him to move undisturbed. The man stood there, staring at the sand wielding person in front of him, eyes piercing into his very soul. "Excuse me a moment...I have to take a little nap..." he said said, ice holding the sand crumbling away, the man falling onto his back, dead from blood lose...

Yoruichi was still humming to herself, her eyes now closed. Even if she did survive this ordeal, chances were she'd be resting for a long time...

Gaara stared at the fallen man somewhat surprised. he looked over at Yoruichi, who was still with the leopard-demon, still humming to herself despite being picked up and moved and falling to the ground. "I'd suggest you lot leave" said Gaara, as he seemingly disintegrated, blowing away on the wind in the form of sand, disappearing entirely...

Yoruichi flipped onto her back, staring at the sky, finished with the song she'd been humming. "If I ever have an undisturbed sleep again, I'll be surprised," she muttered.

Yoruichi lifted a hand and waved it lazily. "Not your fault I'm bleeding violently, is it?" she asked, amused.
