Velkor rubbed his snout, muttering, "Cheap shot..." While doing so, his tail snaked around and grabbed Diana's ankle, then suddenly pulled back, sending her flipping backwards, but also making another audible scrape along the ground...

The Nightmare suddenly twitched, then turned away from Mike's mind, reappearing in his room. It stalked to the door, went out into the hallway, and looked up the stairs, hissing...

Diana squeeked, then started to growl. "Alright pal, you asked for it!" she snarled. Her claws went out and struck Velkor's stomach! "Hey, hey, that's enough!" Thanatos said, trying to get between them again.

Velkor grabbed Diana's wrists, forcibly spun her around, and shoved in the opposite direction. "Yeah, try to control yourself, why dontcha?" he growled, with a hint of sarcasm.

[Shade]

Diana growled and she leapt at Velkor claws out and teeth bared! Thanatos stepped in front of her and knocked her away. Diana snarled menacingly and her wolf form was starting to take over. "Don't try to stop me Thanatos, you'll only get hurt," she growled before turning full wolf.

Velkor smirked. "Such a volatile little gal, aren't you? Go ahead, make my da--" He was interrupted by a sudden charge from the Nightmare, which had slowly been making its way towards them, camouflaged as a fly until just that moment. He rolled with the attack, kicking the Nightmare away, only to have it land on all fours again and hiss angrily, glaring at them with glowing eyes.

Diana snarled and leapt on the Nightmare's back, digging her teeth into the back of it's neck. "Oh great, when we didn't have enough problems?" Nyx said and took out her switch.

The Nightmare growled and reared up, slamming backwards into the wall with enough force to dislodge Diana (and break a normal person's spine in the process).

[Shade]

Diana slid down the wall and gradually turned into her human form. "Ouch," she whimpered before collapsing to the ground. Nyx hissed and threw her switch at the Nightmare, lodging it into it's chest. "Take that, you slimey second rate shadow!" she called.

The Nightmare looked down at the knife, thin streams of smoke leaking out of the wound. With a hissing laugh, it pulled the weapon out, letting a jet of the blue gas to stream out and bowl Nyx over. It dropped the knife, letting the wound seal, before turning on Velkor, who was busy getting up and drawing his blades. "Like I was saying, come on, make my day..."

Nyx sat up and shook her head in irratation. Suddenly Thanatos leapt up and dug his fangs into the Nightmare's throat. "Come on, ugly, try to shake me off!" he said through a mouthful of flesh.

The Nightmare elbowed Thanatos in the gut, winding him long enough to pick him up by the throat and throw him down the hall, and into Nyx. However, while he was distracted, Velkor bounded forward, ready to stab the Demon from behind, but the smoke from its neck wound forced him back, coughing and sputtering angrily.

Nyx squirmed under Thanatos. "Sorry," he whispered. "Get off of me!" she said and shoved him off. Diana tried to pick herself back up, but painfully crumbled back to the floor. Nyx jumped to her feet and took out her gun, wondering if it would do any good, but shot at the Nightmare anyway.

[The Kingpin]

The Demon's attack had more or less trapped it. Drake blocked off one side to the corridor, and Spencer blocked the other off, with numerous Brimstone agents backing the two, weapons ready to mangle the Demon. of all the places to start a fight, a Brimstone HQ was probably the worst place for it to do it. Mike came walking out of his quarters in his typical gear, having not had any especially bad dreams to note, spotting the scene and backing away again. his size would only be a hinderence to the others if he entered the hallway...

Velkor smirked, flicking his tail. "I guess he doesn't like that scraping, does he?" The Nightmare half-crouched, looking around angrily at the surrounding foes. It hissed, but otherwise did nothing. Blue smoke leaked from its eyes as it paced angrily in what space it had in the corridor.

[The Kingpin]

Spencer dashed forward, landing a sharp running roundhouse kick in the Demon's face, knocking it back at Drake, who seemed to have predicted the move, raising his own foot and counter-kicking the incoming Nightmare, the kick landing square in the Demon's back as it flew towards him, launching it back into the center of the room. Drake's stance was still a calm one, standing straight, casually looking down at the Demon. one of his armblades casually slid from it's sheath, though he kept his hands at his side. the racket had resulted in focus on this sector by the Complex's sprawling security system. even if it managed to slip out of this mess, it'd be caught by the security system immediately. not even ventilation shafts were safe...

The Nightmare leaped to its feet and spun around, looking in every direction angrily. It finally screeched, letting out another cloud of gas, albeit on a much smaller scale. Though it dissipated much more swiftly, the Demon had still vanished, this time with only a wisp of black smoke to mark its passing. Velkor scratched the back of his head. "Great, what now? It couldn't have just run off this time!"

"Mike, have the security system scan the building. anything with a pulse aside from the ones here is to be marked and tracked. make sure it's either caught and contained, or killed outright" said Drake. he had had enough of this pest bothering them. Mike reappeared in the cooridor, his palm-top in hand, typing orders onto it and sending it to the Security department of the complex...

"I don't think it went into hiding Drake," hissed Velkor. "That would be too obvious. It's learning from its mistakes, and using new methods of escape." He scraped his tail along the ground and added, "I don't think that's going to lure it out here anymore either."

[The Kingpin]

"Judging by it's method of entry, chances are one of us IS it's method of escape" said Drake, knowing all too well what the possibilities were...

Thanatos and Nyx looked at Diana who had just picked herself off the ground. "Don't look at me," she said and started rubbing her back. "You were the most vulnerable," Thanatos said. "Well, what about you two, who just sat back and watched!" Diana complained.
