"Right after this song finishes" said Drake. it wouldn't be long. the piano playing was complimented by several more modern instruments, creating a soothing, almost hypnotic tune...

Nyx rolled her eyes and sighed. "Of course, hard rock junk," Thanatos said trying to choose his own song.

Velkor opened one eye and glared at Thanatos. "You want to have a night-long conversation wi-- I mean, get a hangover and be forced to stay up all night, then be my guest!"

Spencer looked at Velkor out the corner of his eyes with a scrutinising stare, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. he had overheard a bit of talking the previous night as he went past the cafeteria, and the fact Velkor's voice was one of the two involved, troubled him. especially with the fact that Velkor, to his knowledge, knew nobody in the Society but Drake, and Mike. he remained silent and avoided looking suspicious, but made a mental note to look further into it...

as the song ended, Drake switched to Korn. he wasn't much of a fan of the band itself, but seeing as nobody asked for anything else, he couldn't exactly deny Velkor's request. "Conversation?" he asked as he heard Velkor mention the word before correcting himself. the difference between the conversation and hangover was big enough to rouse his suspicion, though he kept it hidden...

Velkor shrugged. "Slip of my tongue," he hissed. "I'm still not over the hangover yet. It happens." He bobbed his head to the music, trying to end the conversation before it started...

Thanatos also raised his eyebrow at the slip. "Is that why you were gone all night, walking off a hangover instead of trying to sleep it off in the room?" he asked.

"It's not that easy, you know," replied Velkor. "I had a headache, which kept me from sleeping."

Drake sensed Velkor was being a bit overly defensive. it wasn't a major gesture, but it was enough to keep Drake on his toes and thinking....

"I mean, seriously," Velkor added angrily. "Why must you people question my drinking habits? It's not like you have any respect for me now anyway. And I'm pretty d*mn sure the fact that I enjoy alcoholic drinks from time to time won't degrade me." He turned to look out the window, trying to just focus on the music.

Thanatos didn't ask anymore questions, but he was still suspicious. He decided on Disturbia, he leaned back and closed his eyes. Diana also had her wheels turning at Velkor's slip-of-the-tounge, a night-long conversation about what...?

"Woah, cool it, Velkor. we get it already. forget that no respect ********, you and i both know it's not even the slightest bit true" said Drake. he knew it was a lie. he still held Velkor in something of a bad regard since the attack of the one Elder Demon on them, where, for the largest portion of the fight, he just sat there and watched. even though, it wasn't so bad that it'd make him lose all respect for Velkor. for now, he considered the slip of tongue as simply that, nothing more, though Velkor's overly defensive nature over it was discomforting...

"Yeah yeah, just stop with the interrogation, alright?" hissed Velkor.

"Am i interrogating you now?" asked Drake seriously as he kept driving, having left the city not long ago...

"you're welcome" responded Drake finally as he returned his focus to the road, switching the music to a few Dire Straits songs to keep him from going on a road rage as a result of some of the idiots on the streets tonight...

Velkor sighed to himself, then mumbled, a little louder than he intended, "D*mmit Wisp, I'm going to kill you for this..."

Draco dropped down first into the sewer, his crimson eyes scanning around..he stood up fully and glared towards the dark tunnel forward. The tunnel, leading to the jail itself. The smell was terrible but he ignored it. The Dhampir walked forward and it wasnt long till several splashes were heard behind him, the other assassisn in the group now following along. They group kept silent, looking around as they approached the jail..

Meanwhile, Jaden stood at the top of a building that looked towards the jail. All around, there was snipers and marksmen, ready to fire. Their orders were to kill..no attempts of a break out yet..

Gasping Flint ran through the streets as fast as his leg would allow as he clutched the bleeding bullet wound. He ducked into a near alley and dropped down leaning back on the wall, dropping a white bag he carried and pulling out a knife thrusted it into the wound to pry the burning silver out. He grunted and snarled in pain until finally it plopped out onto the concrete with a metallic jingle. Then putting the knife away with an exasperated sigh he reached for hsi holster pulling out his .38 and checking for ammunition. He could he the shooters running after him, three if he wasnt mistaken. With a deep breath he peered around the corner and could see them running full throttle in his direction. With a roaring cry he grabbed the bag and shot up and out of the alley firing at the trio forcing them to take cover as he sprinted off down the street. After he used all eight shots he slipped in back in the holster as he was running and slung the bag over his shoulder taking one last look back as the hunters came out of there hiding places and gave chase again firing several shots after him.

Hank changed into bat form, then took off from the jail. He flew into the pitch black night, flying straight. He would have to hurry if he was to escape far enough that he would not be an issue in one night. The problem was, he was tired,. He had to focus, though. Keep himself awake...

"D*mmit, Velkor's gonna kill me for this!" Wisp sank to her knees in the alleyway, eyes red with frustration. "He said everything would be fine if I did it in their sleep!" She slashed the wall of the building next to her, carving three long rifts in the bricks. "Everything did NOT work fine! Awww, Wisp is a failure..." Her eyes turned grey, then suddenly shifted to bright golden, a grin on her face. "Wait a sec! Wisp has an idea! Good job, Wisp! That's why I loves ya!" She flew upwards, into the air, then dove into the ground, disappearing as the ground around her shimmered for a split second, before reverting back to its normal state...
