Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

The ARIS quickly did their best to climb the surrounding trees, the Assassins being the lightest and able to get the highest, bullets lancing up out of the forest after the Jedi.

The Atlas quickly attached the spare scout to its launcher and aimed it up into the sky, preping the drone for launch...

Ark'aran, watching the battle, suddenly felt incredibly stupid. He should have sent at least one Icarus with them... He hadn't known about the jet boots...

Mal'Ganis used his lightsaber to incinerate a few of the bullets coming dangerously close, soaring off back toward the city. He hoped, at least, the city's police, guards, mob, whatever would provide a distraction for his enemies. The planet was filled with organized and unorganized crime...he really didn't care if a few of the scumbags died. Nonetheless, the Jedi continued his journey toward the city...

Far away, an OWL gunship was rocketing towards the ruin and Mal'ganis's last known position, the machine streaking across the sky like a comet... The gunship wouldn't be much use in aprehending the Jedi, it was designed to kill and maim, not to capture, but it would do well to keep him occupied if possible...

Mal'Ganis's jets suddenly cut out, the Jedi plummeting into the jungle below, using the force to cushion the fall. Only a few feet away was the City's edge, which wasn't exactly well guarded, transitioning from concrete to jungle somewhat abruptly. Mal'Ganis darted forward, lightsaber retracting, heading deeper into the city, heading specifically toward the space port, blending in with the crowds as best as he could...

"We regret your decision. we hope that some time in the near future, you will reconsider our offer. afterall, a trusted friend is never a problem" responded the Captain. he reached into one of his coat's front pockets and pulled out a small, rectangular, silver object. pushing a button on it's side, it split open, a narrow silver, pen-like object appearing. the Captain proceeded to write his order on the 'writing board' of the small computer, along with his position. in mere moments, another panel opened up in the table in front of him, a disk being produced. "This will mark the borders to our territory. a third dimentional globe hilighting where our territory begins. It also contains contact information with one of the border edge Communication Centers. When your Superiors decide to make contact with us, they have merely to contact the Communication Center" explained the Captain...

"Roughly 25% of our fleet has been crippled and require immediate maintenence. they have been sent to the nearest Vardian Tactical Shipyard, roughly 20 parasecs from our current position. another 37% of our fleet are moderately damaged, and what remains is more or less intact. the Executioner's taken some light damage. luckily the shields and a few interception shells eliminated the bulk of the threat. our Fleet's secondary flagship, the Revenge, has also suffered moderate damage, though it will be capable of going through at least a retaliatory battle without requiring repairs. i may consider calling in reinforcements, but at the moment, we're trying to focus as much of our forces as possible on planetary defense within the Vardian Kingdom" explained Serephir through a holographic delivery system, the Vardian Supreme Commander pacing right and left calmly, his hands behind his back...

"We should have brought more ships" Piett offered to Revan but the Dark Lord shook his head in simple defiance.
"It wouldnt make much different. I simply brought a fleet that was meant to deal with any Vong Fleet we had seen so far...I was never expecting a fleet of that size and power. Fighting thousands with thousands is simple but pointless. They have Trandosha now and if were to attack as soon as we could, we would only lose again" Revan responded.
"It makes sense why you focused mainly on military and why you wanted more planets and defenses. If that fleet were to attack us..." Piett stopped, thinking of all the chaos that would go on.
"It's worse...the Vong have even more ships, I'm sure of it. We're looking at tens of thousands of shps. While I can ensure the Empire is safe at the moment...the blockaid that is the front force and the "gate" is bound to fall as well. Once that blockaid falls...the Empire will be blind and the outerim would be flooded with Vong Ships in no time..." Revan added on.
Piett almost shook from the thought and the Imperials in the area felt rather down to the lack of optimism from t he very men that lead the Imperials to victory with almost every foe.

"Perhaps we should all meet in person...we'll discuss the next course of action then" Revan asked, returning back to the three way conversation.

"Down at Geonosis," replied Grievous. "Sun Fac's hive. We will meet there. There's a conference room in there where we can speak." He didn't bother waiting for an answer, instead turning to Spectre as he prepared to leave. "Will you be coming down to the planet with us?"

"Of course. Who is to say an attempt on your life, or the life of General Serephir, is an impossibility?" Spectre droned, looking up from the virtual display, staring at Grievous.

"Very well," replied Grievous. "Back to the hangar." The cyborg marched off the bridge, heading back to the tram system...

"I'm starting to hate that thing..." Spectre droned, following after Grievous, referring to the tram...

"It was either that, or a very long walk," hissed grievous, stepping aboard the tram. "You want to walk across an entire 20 kilometer-long ship, be my guest."

"And that, my friend, would drive any being insane." Spectre retorted, waiting patiently on the tram...

"We have a shuttle ready?" Revan asked the Grand Admiral as soon as the information was given.
"Of course..." The Imperial Admiral responded.
"Very well...I'll be back" Revan replied and the Dark Lord of the Sith began to walk off the bridge as Piett bowed with respect. The guards at the door nodded as Revan passed through the blast door. Another example of loyalty and respect.
Soon enough, the Sith reached the main hanger through a series of elevators and short cuts, The Sith followed by several ARC Trooper Captains. They would be the main escorts but with a meeting as important as this...Revan wasnt going to go alone.
The Sith Lord paused as none other then the Dark Lady of the Sith stood near the shuttle, a smile across her face.
"I'm going with you" The sentence was simple.
"It's nothing...only war and politics, it's best you stay on the ship" Revan answered in response.
"It's not that simple, I'm still going" The Empress of the Galactic Empire kept her smile as she entered the shuttle. Revan shugged lightly and proceeded to go in...the shuttle ready to land at Geonosis.

"I rest my case." The tram soon pulled to a stop, and Grievous stepped off, heading back out into the hangar. "I'm guessing you will be taking your own craft?" he asked, heading towards the Soulless One, his own personal ship.

"I don't see why not." Spectre droned, heading toward his ship within the hanger. It was a small craft, but it would be able to prevent any sudden attacks on Grievous or Serephir, assuming the attacker was of near equal size...

"Prepare a shuttle. 2 T-20s, a T-31 and 4 guards. one sniper, two riflemen and an anti armour soldier. we need to be geared for anything" said Serephir. the Computer acknowledged his order and immediately, down in the hanger, his request was being fulfilled. "Let's go" he said to Lissarkh, before heading towards the lift that would taken them down...

when he arrived in the hanger, he glanced towards the shuttle, which was being boarded by the small team he had ordered to have accompany him. the shuttle seemed small and innocent enough, though beneath the silvery shell of the oval craft, several weapons systems were hidden...if they were ambushed, they weren't going to go down easily...

Nightshade picked up the disc, examining it. He spun it around his finger, examining it. The Sentinel suddenly hopped forward, landing next to the ambassador and reaching out, a small spike sliding out of its grappling hook like paw and taking the disc off Nightshade, depositing it within its sample bay. It was currently standing on two tentacles, like legs, using another 2 as arms, then the last one was sticking up behind it like a scorpions tail, scanning around the room.

Nightshade replied to the captain "Thank you for your kindness. This may very well be the start of a prosperous relationship. Is there anything else you wish to discuss or shall I take my leave?"

Thara looked around, tapping his foot impatiently... Where were the twins already?

Lissarkh followed Serephir into the hangar, saying, "I know the Geonosians are isolationist, but they're still our allies. Are you really this paranoid?"

Grievous climbed into his own starfighter, taking off and flying out of the hangar, towards the dusty rock below...

The Imperial Shuttle rose and exited the hanger, flying towards Geonosis. Those inside simply relaxed but Revan was still tense. The Sith Lord turned as the Empress besides him slid her hand next to his, intertwining their fingers.
"You think too much of war, the Vong wont follow" The Dark Lady said, trying to reassure her husband.
"This place would be easier to capture then Trandosha. All the astroids around Geonosis would then be used by the Vong to attack us. We've seen similar acts before" Revan said in response.
"I just...dont want the unexpected to happen. If anything were to happen to you.." Revan stopped as he looked back at his wife. But a reasuring look suddenly brought him peace. She always was capable of doing that.
"Sir, we're approaching the planet" One of the ARC Troopers suddenly said. The pair then turned as they watched the Imperial Shuttle proceeded to move swiftly...heading towards the area Grievous designated.
Piett was exhausted...assuming a report came in that things were fine, he couldnt rest. The Admiral had been up for hours upon hours, trying to make sure the Annihilator was ready for action at a moment's notice. This paid off as he knew exactly what to do when the Vong arrived.

"Get out here Jarad! they're waiting for you!" rang Jarmun's voice through the halls near the rooms. the brother then went down to the rec room, sighing. "it's impossible to get him away from anything he's working on" he said in defeat. mere moments later, a small greenish turqoise metallic orb hovered into the room, anti gravity pads visible on it's back both sides and beneath it, the front being made up of a narrow red visor and a black lump on it. behind it came Jarad, a surprisingly proud look on his face. "You called, Captain?" asked Jarad, compeltely oblivious of the mood around him, his Magnifying Monocle still attached to his eye...

"I'm not worried about your allies. i'm worried about a possible conspiracy, or a potential Vong attack force. if they're as big as info tells me, they'd have no problem trying to kill us off right then and there" said Serephir as he got into the Shuttle.

"I think that's all we really need to discuss. Give Vardia's regards to your Superiors" said the Captain as he got up, the entrance to the room opening and the Captain going ahead, waiting beside the door for the ambassador and his guards to exit...
