"We shall," Grievous replied, keeping all his sabers out, considering his foes were getting harder each time.

The Tortoise observed the new comers with interest. Chances were they were preparing to attack its forces and get them away from the planet, but it wasn't worried. It had enough fire power here to at least hold them off.

Over the surface, the engineers were still working furiously. 3 planetary cannons had been shipped to the surface, the massive buildings first installation stage already underway, larger driller machines gouging out large holes for the cannons to rest into. One was being planted at the north pole, another at the south pole, and another along the equator. It would take a few months for the cannons were ready and operational. The drones were also installing a large communications array, currently drilling it into position near the the planetary cannon at the north pole. They had a few other buildings which hadn't started drilling yet, a cruiser drone hive for instance, but they were still searching for the optimal install spot for it. It needed to be close enough to array to protect it in the case of attack but distant enough that an attack on one wouldn't spill over to the other. Back in the capital, the dropships had scavenged samples of nearly every machine that had taken part in the battle, even managing to steal a Vardian and Dalek earlier. A few drones continued scouring the clean up operation, looking for anything of value. One of them spotted the strange pods, at first mistaking them for refuse, but on closer inspection, the pods were largely undamaged and were unique. Two S Variant sentinels took off out of the dropship's bay and flew down to the pods, investigating...

Meanwhile, inside the ClogMor, the sentinels finished their basic search of the ship's interior. They began working back through it, sending smaller scouts through any gap they could find, mapping out a 3d blue print of everything in the ship. The station would be nearing the boarder of the drone's safe zone soon...

Another passage opened for Grievous, leading to yet another pristine white room, which was fairly large in comparison to those that came before it, in every dimension, resembling an enourmous square...

One of the scout machines turned back toward its brethren, scanning the area for signs of hostility, subsequently scanning over the pods, noticing the sentinels investigating the objects...

The spy drone crawled along through the wall, eventually coming to an inactive duct running from one slab of wall to the other, most likely for oxygen or whatever the species needed to breathe. The spy drone quickly cut into the duct from the side, crawling into it without a second thought...

Grievous walked into the new room, looking around warily, in case of an unpleasant surprise. "What next? A Dalek army?" he growled.

"No, nothing like that. Not yet at least. You'll get to the harder trials eventually...if you survive, that is." the voice responded with the same up-beat attitude, just as a panel of the wall retracted. A large humanoid creature stood in the darkness of the small room it was contained in, breathing heavily, which was audible to even the cyborg across the room. The creature stood at least 10 feet tall...none of its features were seen in the dim light, the only sound being its heavy breathing...

Grievous took a step forward, watching the creature within carefully. He spun his sabers threateningly, trying to entice the beast to attack.

As Grievous took a step back, the creature bounded forward, revealing itself to be a Locust Berserker, the gargantuan humanoid barreling toward Grievous with frightening force...

The Berserker's naturally resistant armor was only cut a small amount, smashing its enourmous arm against Grievous' side, hurling him back across the room as it slid to a stop. The creature turned around, bellowing angrily at the cyborg...

Getting to his feet slowly, Grievous snarled, "So that's how you want to play, eh? Come on, then. Come and get me." He put his Lightsabers away and folded his arms casually behind his back...

The Engineer floated down beside Lissarkh from the doorway, its attention mostly on the console than on her. "Meet our newest member," the Trandoshan hissed. "He seems harmless, and barely pays attention to anything that isn't mechanical. We found him on the Malevolence." The Engineer turned its eyes towards Spectre, gazing at his helmet with intense curiosity. raising one tentacle towards his faceplate...

"Touch it and you will lose that limb." Spectre droned, not moving, however. "It should learn to keep its distance, if it wants to live until tomorrow." he added to Lissarkh...

The Berserker bellowed angrily at the cyborg, fists clenched, charging forward with surprising speed...

One Sentinel investigated the outside of the pod while the other landed onto its rim and shined a boundary sensor, collecting information about the materials it was made of, the red cone of 'light' swirling into its depths...

Within the wrecked TGDA cruiser, the small orb like scouts continued to scour the nooks and crannies of the ship, one of them barreling down an air duct, nearing the spy...

"Oh, calm down, Spectre," hissed Lissarkh. "It's harmless. Unless it can actually get the helmet off, it won't even mess with it." The Engineer didn't seem to notice Spectre's threat, but after a moment, turned towards the rest of the man's armor, investigating it eagerly, obviously never having seen the kind of technology before.

As the Berserker charged, bellowing at Grievous, he threw a thermal detonator from beneath his cloak into the creature's mouth, then jumped to the side and sprinted forward, past the beast. Spinning around, he threw the second he had hid behind his back at the creature's feet, in case it spat out the first before it detonated...

The Berserker did just that, spitting the device away, while the second exploded under it, causing it to slam into the nearby wall, a few chunks of armor blown off, but the creature was far from dead. Pushing off the wall with a snarl, the Locust charged forward, arms in front of it, smashing into the cyborg, threatening to crush him into the quickly nearing wall...

Spectre smacked the tentacle away with one hand, but otherwise did not move, still looking toward Lissarkh and the controls of the tower. Meanwhile, the crab drone detached itself from the ship's controls, scuttling out of the craft and toward Vassek...

Just as the scouting machine passed a corner, a cattle-prod like object struck its side, overloading it with electricity, causing the device to thud against the ground. The spy drone smacked it away with the prod before retracting the weapon, moving further into the air ducts...

The scout landed with a loud thump, unleashing a strange sound resembling a cicada, almost the spitting image of an old GEKKO, but had some noticeable changes, unlike its armored counterparts elsewhere, which were very different. The machine continued to make the sound, staring at the machines investigating the pods...

Grievous swiftly grabbed a Lightsaber and extended it into the Berseker's mouth, the blade easily impaling the soft flesh and going straight through its skull. Pulling the weapon out, the cyborg rolled to the side in case the Locust creature kept going forward, not wanting to hit the wall behind such weight...

The Engineer pulled away and let out an irritated huff. Lissarkh chuckled. "He's not going to damage your suit, you know. Here, watch." Lissarkh held out her Lightsaber hilt to the Engineer, who swiftly grabbed the device and placed it on the ground. Then, before the pair's eyes, the creature's tentacles, splitting into many fine cilia, disassembled the Lightsaber hilt into its core components, reassembled it into a completely different object, then disassembled it again and put it back together just like it had started, all in the matter of a few seconds. "See?" hissed Lissarkh as the Engineer floated away from the hilt, and the Trandoshan took it back...

The Berserker, despite having a hole through the back of its head, still moved, slowing itself before it hit the wall, swinging around, the creature smashed its enourmous fist into Grievous' chest, hurling him back across the room. The Locust's skull had two layers of "bone" protecting it, while the lightsaber only pierced one, thus saving its relatively small brain...

"I'd rather not allow it to take apart my suit. Perhaps I need it to survive? This thing would not care." Spectre droned irritably. The crab drone scuttled its way into Vassek, retracting its legs and simply falling to the ground in a corner, looking like just another piece of the tower, remotely accessing TGDA databases from within Vassek itself...

the scout probe crashed to the bottom of the air duct, sparks flying out if it as its small battery overloaded... Its parent Sentinel noticed that it had gone offline and quickly sent its remaining probe to investigate, the probe shooting into the air duct and hovering down towards the first....

The Sentinel investigating the outside of the pod turned to face the machine approaching them. Its boundary sensor swept over it momentarily, scanning the machine. The design registered a hit as a Gekko, or something similar at least. Not much was known about them, the only records being from an Imperial battle. The Sentinel watched it, unsure about what it was going to do...

The Engineer proceeded to float around the room, looking at all the technology within. Lissarkh growled, "Well, at least he can help repair a lot of the damage around the tower..."

Grievous flipped through the air, using the attack to land on his feet. Wheezing a couple times, the cyborg finally rushed forward, straight at the Berseker, before leaping over its head, one arm swinging a Lightsaber blade across the beast's head, the other dropping another thermal detonator at the beast's feet, which promptly exploded around the stunned Berseker, Grievous landing safely at a distance...

The scout still made the increasingly loud noise, using somewhat animalistic behavior to try and frighten the machines away, stomping its fleshy legs against the ground in a show of aggression. In truth, it didn't care about the pods being investigated...it was trying to record the machines' response to its actions and general appearance...

The spy drone, legs magnetically active, scaled a section of the air duct heading straight up, moving silently through the system...

"You trust a covenant engineer with your technology? May I remind you that they were the ones who disabled the hyperdrive, that they were the cause of Grievous' capture? The covenant themselves weren't the aggressors, but I sure as hell know they caused it all." Spectre droned, staring hard at Lissarkh.

The crab drone dug through the TGDA files, eventually finding the old record of the attack on Shadow Haven's original home world. Quickly deleting all traces of it, including coordinates, the crab drone began picking files from the databases that interested it and its superiors, including more advanced data on the Covenant and Daleks...

The Berserker stumbled once again, its now somewhat unarmored legs taking the most damage. Swinging around, the creature bellowed and charged just as Grievous landed, slamming into him with astounding force, while also hurling him to the side...

The Sentinel observed the strange machine and its odd behavior. It assumed that it was some kind of cyborg. Maybe engineered as a predator to be unleashed on unsuspecting populations? Unlikely but possible. The Scout decided to respond in kind, emulating the animal in hopes of learning more about it. It leapt down from the pod, landing onto two tentacles, the ones at its side curling around, claws opening wide. The machine released a rattling machine like hiss, its 3 eyes glowing red. Its remaining tentacle curled over its head, the claws opening wide, a bayonet shooting down from the centre of the 'hand'...

The remaining scout probe zoomed around the air duct, attempting to find whatever had disabled the first probe, the Sentinel outside following its progress...
