The Komodos immediately opened fire, their shields protecting them, at least for now, against the explosives, the corridor now filled with plasma bolts fired from the machines, tearing apart the weaker machines with relative ease, alternating their positions when given the chance, giving their comrades' shields a chance to regain strength...

Using the distraction, the commandoes threw their last few detonators at the unshielded Komodos, smashing them against the walls from the explosions, before hiding back around the corner, just as a trio of Droidekas rolled past them and took up positions behind the Komodos, with shields that were easily as powerful. The droidekas used the slower-firing, more powerful blaster setting on their hands, each shot capable of rupturing a light vehicle. The droids hammered their foes from behind, leaving them in a crossfire of rockets and blasters...

The Komodos, having two on either side, kept alternating their positions, sticking the weakest member of their group in the center, began using their full firepower in the situation, uploading their dual missiles at once, the four projectiles on either side slamming violently against their enemies, the rocket-totting droids being vaporized by the onslaught, while the barrage of projectiles smashed the lead Droidekas against the walls, disabling their shields in the process, while the Komodos immediately opened fire with their gatling weapons, mangling the weakened droidekas in the process, while the others on the opposite side moved forward, two grenades thunking out, ricocheting off the corner, landing at the feet of the commando droids, now that they were fired closer, exploding violently as they did, blowing the bottom halves off the lead droids. Even without shields, the Komodos had very durable armor, their design sacrificing maneuverability for higher grade armor, something Shadow Haven specialized in...

Lissarkh growled, baring her teeth. "Spectre, come with me. I'll teach these scraps of metal not to mess with the TGDA!" She turned away from the console, ignoring the Engineer who had put his tentacles literally inside the inner workings of the device, working fervently...

Spectre moved forward after Lissarkh...only to strike her in the back with the hilt of one blade, the movement blurred, leaving the Transhodan to fall to the floor, unconscious. "21, get the shackles." Spectre said into his wrist console, the crab drone scuttling into the room shortly after, beginning to shackle Lissarkh with ray-shield like objects, immune to her powers, but only made it so her arms and legs could not move, pinning her to the wall of the control room. Spectre left the technical duties to the crab drone, while Spectre himself went to secure the rest of the level...

The Komodos moved on, passing the wreckage of the machines they destroyed, heading toward the command level of the tower, the information fed to them by the crab drone within...

The Engineer stared curiously at the scene that had unfolded before it, before continuing its work...

Droids throughout the tower poured towards the Komodos, still tracking them through the security cameras, unaware that their current commander was unconscious...

The Komodos kept moving, using their gatling weapons to clear out any enemies in their path, with an occasional grenade launched at more armored or hidden enemies. Spectre disposed of any droids on the command level, which were few and far between, considering the more pressing threats to them in the corridors. He kept his stealth camoflauge active at all times, knowing the security cameras would catch the destruction...

Meanwhile, with Lissarkh secure, the crab drone began hacking into the TGDA controls once again, intent on shutting off the security cameras in the tower...

OOM-6, while fighting the enemy ships, was also watching the events unfold through the cameras down in Vassek, considering the attack that had been made from within. Upon seeing that Lissarkh was apparently knocked out, he alerted the entire tower of the problem, and the remaining commandos in the tower, led by OOM-224, charged farther underground, towards the command module, where Lissarkh was located...

The security cameras suddenly disabled, the Komodos took advantage of the situation, now nearing the command level of the tower, carving a path of destruction through their enemies in the process.

In actuality, the security cameras were disabled for all...except 21. The crab drone monitored the movements of the enemies, feeding data back to the Komodos, when it also noticed the approaching squad of droids. The crab drone quickly sent the information to both the Komodos and Spectre, while simultaneously trying to seal the level and prevent the entry of the droids...

"Lissarkh...Commanding officer of the Vardians. Were obviously in not good condition and while Its not nice to say it...I am starting to think the worst has happened. Have any of you found anything?" Thrawn asked on an open channel that was sent to both fractions. The Grand Admiral was curious...he was starting to get an idea from past reports but didnt want to report it at once. The Imperial Fleet continued to battle, unaware of what was going down at Vassek.

"No information as of yet. combat has brought investigation to a hault" responded Admiral Denovaef. the Manticores continued their systematic pounding of enemy ships, the Revenge now joining in on the battle with it's main cannons and PSCs, the rest of the Vardian ships gliding over the planet in a steady orbit, forces being deployed to prevent enemy forces from getting any more numerous in the area, and to attempt to force them back...

OOM-6 messaged both groups of ships, saying, "Alert! Lissarkh has been temporarily incapacitated, and a group of unknown hostiles have infiltrated Vassek. It seems that Spectre is the one who knocked her out."

Any door that closed in front of the commandos was swiftly unlocked, as they knew every door code there was in the tower (a privilege granted to the commandoes and a few other droid types). Though they were slowed, they were not stopped, and they made their way steadily closer...

"Spectre? Then I think we have our enemy. And just for confirmation....what fraction is Spectre from?" Thrawn asked. This was the information he needed. Thrawn then narrowed his eyes...wondering if there were any ARC Trooper Teams ready for deployment. But he was busy with just trying to figure out who Spectre was from. Once their fraction was discovered, Thrawn was already determining immediate counter-attack right on their own home planet. But that was something that required Revan's decision.

"Unknown," replied OOM-6. "He was assigned as the TGDA's commanding officer's bodyguard. I believe it is safe to say he is the one who let Grievous get captured."

The crab drone began forcing the doors into malfunctioning, causing them to open and close violently, while others were simply shut and overloaded in power, causing their panels, and even the crab drone's commands, to do nothing of real use. Spectre arrived back into the main control room where Lissarkh was kept, checking the status of the situation, before heading out of the single functioning opening, planning on meeting the Komodos as they neared, both parties fed by 21's schematics, guiding them through the malfunctioning halls toward the control level...

The commandoes, forced to find another way, had to take another route, searching for a functioning door...

Lissarkh groaned as she slowly regained consciousness. Looking around, she was surprised that she was bound and immobile on the floor. Silently, she looked around the room, slowly regaining her memory...

Spectre quickly met up with the Komodos, leading them back toward the control room without a word...

"Ah, you are awake." 21 droned dully, voice devoid of emotion. "Don't attempt to free yourself, this shouldn't take long." he continued, barely paying attention to the Transhodan as he worked, knowing that with her limbs chained, her force powers were largely useless...

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Lissarkh snarled, flexing her wrists. She could barely move her hands, but she was sure she could use at least one of her abilities, though not yet...

"Taking advantage of the situation to conclude our plans. No offense meant, of course." 21 droned, guiding the Komodos back toward the control room...
