When I first fought High rank Black Grav, I used what was the final form of the Hermitaur bow in MHF2. I also used earplug grade armor so he couldn't roar, then use a fire beam on me.

G4E:Black Gravios's scales are harder, even the ones on his stomach. Only white sharpness(and purple sharpness in MHFU) can pierce his stomach if you're not going to uset he ESP skill.

G4E:SNS's, at least in the first MHF, can pierce his belly even without white sharpness. However, I'm not sure about the MHFU G-rank Black Gravios, seeing as I haven't taken him on with an SNS yet.

ha....hahaha....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

good luck finding one....that isn't WAAAAY beyond the level of the materials you can acquire at that point....

personally, i've always used water bows on Grav....particularly ones with the Pierce Ability...easy to dodge his beams, and far enough to avoid the explosive blast. even the High Rank ones couldn't stay up for long. used them on Bas as well...very effective for solo runs provided you're patient and don't take too many risks...

but...you NEED more armour if you want to get anywhere...
