Deciding to forget the tree, Shadowstar simply hung her head and groaned. "I...give...up..." she growled.

[Shade]

Shadelight purred in amusement. "Not kits anymore, full grown warriors and good ones at that," she said. Just then Sunclaw and Stormheart walked in. Stormheart narrowed his eyes at Demontalon, but said nothing. Sunclaw walked over to her mother. "Stormheart wanted to speak to you," she whispered. "Excuse me one second," Shadelight mewed and trotted outside the den with Stormheart.

"How often have I seen that look?" Demontalon asked nobody in particular, having caught a glimpse of the tom's face. She sighed.

"He's probably upset at something else, not you" Cloudhaze mewed simply. Rivalries werent uncommon amongst warriors, she knew that.

Loneclaw mewed "Yes. You might as well just lean against Loneclaw and end the suffering" He grinned widely at the she cat beside him.

[Shade]

Stormheart immediately turned to his mother, while Sunclaw decided to observe the loners. "Who are these cats?" Stormheart hissed. "You don't remember them?" Shadelight asked. Stormheart gave her an odd look. "I expect not, you were all so young, that's Demontalon in there, you used to play with her when you were a kit," Shadelight said swishing her tail to the den's entrance. Stormheart narrowed his eyes again. "Should we trust them?" he hissed again. Shadelight narrowed her eyes at her son. "If you don't like these cats here I suggest you take it up to your father, until then I'd like you to be courteous and pleasant to them," she mewed and walked back into the medicine den, leaving Stormheart to deal with his dilemas.

"Maybe I should knock you out and spare myself the headache instead," Shadowstar growled through clenched teeth. Insolitus followed the conversation with a look of intense amusement on his face.

"I hope that's it," Demontalon mewed.

[Shade]

Shadelight walked over to Demontalon again. "Well, that problem solved," she mewed. "How's that wound?" she asked, before waiting for an answer she turned to Cloudhaze. "What did you apply?"

[C S]

Loneclaw mewed "Knock out a dead cat. Good one Shadowstar. Loneclaw never knew you to be the one to hide your feelings!"

Cloudhaze mewed "Marigold. It was a nasty wound... how did you get it Demontalon?"

[Hopeflower]

"It hurts, but it'll get better so long as I don't try and trek all the way around the lake again," Demontalon meowed. She looked at Cloudhaze and meowed, "I ran into a rogue and made a bad mistake."

Shadowstar gritted her teeth. "Some days I really wish you were still alive so I wouldn't have to put up with you," she muttered.

Spottedstar could barely suppress a snicker as he muttered to Insolitus and Renny, "As you can see, StarClan has it's fair share of oddities..."

"And of the other days?" Loneclaw mewed, widening an eye at the she cat.

"Thats...unfortunate...atleast you survived.." The medicine cat mewed, patting Demontalon's head with a paw.

"I almost didn't," Demontalon mewed quietly. "If I didn't remember you could use cobwebs to stop bleeding..." She shivered.

"The other days you're quieter," Shadowstar hissed, while Insolitus let out a deep chuckle.

[Shade]

Shadelight's tail swished. "We'll apply Stinging nettle for the swelling and give her some poppy seeds for the pain," she said. She trotted to the stores and started to chew the nettles.

"Loneclaw was alone those days!" The tom mewed. "Now Loneclaw's here, talking to a cat who is trying to keep away from my fluffy exterior!"

"We're spirits," Spottedstar mewed calmly. "We can't even FEEL your fluffiness." Renny turned to Insolitus and, after a moment, mewed, "Want to wake up now?"

Insolitus glanced at Renny, his blue eyes glowing with amusement, and nodded. "I've had enough insanity for one day," he purred.

"An excellent point," Shadowstar mewed.

[C S]

"Tis a pitty" Loneclaw mewed. "The perfect afterlife isnt that perfect anymore...for everyone except Loneclaw, Loneclaw already knows his fluffiness!"

[Hopeflower]

"Go revel in your fluffiness then," Shadowstar meowed, resisting the urge to groan again.

[C S]

Loneclaw then dropped to the floor, lying on his side where he curled up, head tucked under his fore paws, tail flicking occasionally. "Loneclaw is happy like this" He mewed, muffled

Shadowstar muttered something under her breath and shook her head.

Blazeheart felt his claws unsheathe and dig into the earth when more cats went into the medicine den. "Leave her alone," he murmured, not really intending any cat to hear. "Until I see that she's alright, at least."
