As Fogcloud neared the white pelt leader, he tried to keep the bold and confident attitude he had arrived in Stormclan with, but he couldnt bring it out. The impending event had stripped him down to his bare self, a former clan cat seeking redemption.
By now he was infront of Snowstar, and he sat, keeping level eye contact. He was humbled, but the cat here was still his father.
"Has Wraith passed his judgement?" Snowstar mewed.
"He says I am allowed to stay, if you dont object..." Fogcloud mewed back. "Would I have any reason to?" Snowstar replied. "You did complete the trial and proved that you are capable of being a clan cat"
"Then that means?" Fogcloud mewed, tail swishing.
Snowstar simply nodded. "Take your place amongst Stormclan's warriors, I shall announce it shortly...for now, get situated"
Fogcloud's eyes widened, and with a nod, he mewed "You wont regret this, Ill make sure of it!" before turning tail and heading off...

Wraith watched on, pleased. another former clan cat had joined their ranks, and after a period of learning as a Loner as well. the experience he had gained would benefit the clan, and he had already seen that he had at least some friends in the Clan who wanted him back...

"Am i so squishy that you can't contain the urge to poke?" meowed Nightclaw as he swatted Demontalon's paw with one of his own, otherwise not moving...

The dark she-cat offered a small smile. "As a matter of fact...yes," she purred, poking him again. "That, and it's still as fun as it was back then to try and get you riled up."

"Demontalon!" Fogcloud meowed loudly as he found himself unable to slow down fast enough again. He dug his claws into the ground, making a scraping noise as he slid to the black she-cat's side. With an estatic mew, he said "Ive become a Stormclan warrior! I-I-" His eyes fell on the younger cat, who shared traits with the black bengal leader. "Wow...its been a while since I saw Shadowsoul's kits... last I saw them they were...well..kits..."

Demontalon turned to blink at the gray tom. "Really? That's great!" She followed his gaze to Nightclaw and allowed her smile to grow a bit. "Yeah...pity they grew up so fast, but hey. What can you do? myself, I think I preferred this one when he and his siblings were wrestling on my head." Her tail flicked lightly over the younger warrior's nose.

"All you can do is watch them grow and make the most of they're time with you..." Fogcloud mewed, before looking straight into Demontalon's eyes. "I said it before...and Ill say it again, Im sorry...Demontalon...for leaving you and then losing you...I wont let it happen again"

"oh for Starclan's sake. anyone who heard you would think you've had a litter of your own" meowed Nightclaw with a wave of his paw. "Think of it this way, Demontalon....at least now you don't have to worry about your ear turning into a kit's chew toy....at least...until the next group of playful, ear-loving kits comes along..." he added with a smirk...

The fur on her shoulders twitched a bit as she hid a shiver. She held Fogcloud's gaze. "I forgive you," she murmured. "You can't change what lies in a cat's heart...and back then, you wanted to be away from the Clan and its restrictions." But it will take time to recover our old closeness... she thought as she looked down at Nightclaw, smirking. "Well, I think of you and your brother and sister as my younger siblings. As far as I'm concerned, you did grow up too fast." And I'm sorry I wasn't here for longer than I was...we had fun back then, even if most of our time together was spent with you climbing all over me. "But you're right...at least my ears are safe for the moment. I thought you three would end up chewing them off," she added jokingly.

Fogcloud closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "I just wanted to get that off my chest...it was bugging me when I was doing my trial. I was thinking that if this was our last time to see each other, I'd want to tell you that; but now that Ive been accepted...I still wanted to tell you"

Demontalon half-smiled. "Mouse-brain," she murmured affectionately. She gently cuffed Nightclaw's ear. "And where would we be if you had?" she purred. "It wouldn't have been a "Hey, don't I know you! Oh yeah! Hi!" It would have been "Oh, fox dung, I remember chewing off that ear! Did she see me? Run!" And then you'd have to hide from me for the rest of your lives."

"Just wait until my shoulder's better," Demontalon pretended to spit crossly, though a glint of humor lightened her expression. "I may be hurt, but don't count me out yet," she added more seriously. "I've fought with worse injuries in battles that killed some of my Clanmates. Remember the rats?" She directed the question at Fogcloud.

His tail flicked back and fourth as he tilted his head to and fro, mewing "You mean the swarm of the fat dung eating squirrels...or the regular dung eating squirrels? Because there IS a difference" His lips curled slightly and he rested his chin on a paw...

"I mean the ones that chased us out of the valley we were born in," Demontalon meowed, shifting onto her side. "The ones that took one of Fireflower's lives and nearly managed to kill all of the Clan leaders, deputies, and medicine cats." Her tail curled over one of her legs to rest on her side. She shot Nightclaw a look through narrowed eyes. "I'm sure one or two of my scars are from the ambush they trapped me in."

Demontalon looked back at him, blanking her expression except for the raising of one brow. "Are you really interested? Or are you just humoring me?" she meowed in the neutral tone she used to adopt when she was calming herself. She stretched her jaws in a huge yawn, as if letting him know if he was kidding she wasn't going to bother telling him.
