a series of low booms echoed throughout Central Park's south eastern edge, silence spreading for miles around at the sound of the predator's strides. the Rex had decided to explore the entire island, starting with the docks, and moving anti-clockwise until he reached his territory again. having left his territory a while ago, he was now curious to find out what lived outside of his domain...

Switchblade was just about to try pushing on the second door when her head snapped around to look behind her again. From where she was, she got a good view of the dead Lambeosaur's head. The sounds of the feeding Spinosaur echoed down the cold, bare hall, and she realized that if she couldn't open the door, she was boxed in... there would be no escape until the Spinosaur left. Turning back to the door, she reached one hand down and tried awkwardly to hook her long claws over handle and push it down, a technique she had discovered only a couple of weeks ago. The first time, her claws slipped off and the handle bounced back up with a loud, echoing clack, the Lili flinching, knowing the sound was loud enough to travel out into the street. She tried again, more carefully and quietly this time, hoping the Spino hadn't heard...

As Spike swallowed a large hunk of meat, he heard a loud clank coming from inside the building. Curious as to what it was, the Spinosaurid crawled forward, sticking his head into the building, the Spino's eyes able to clearly see the Lily at the back of the building. Enraged to see another predator ehre, Spike let out a terrifying roar, one far louder than any he had ever let out before, the main force of the roar slammed into th eLily, knocking her onto her side, while the sound itself traveled for miles, awakening a sleepy Goldeye and Lightfoot, whom took off in the direction of the roar, knowing it to be SPike's roar...

"You have a point." Alira's maw split into a jaw-cracking yawn. Her sleep the previous night had been fitful at best, the allosaur not quite settled with the sudden change in her life.

Switchblade had recoiled violently, and fallen against the wall, letting out her own shriek of pain, at both the impact, and her ears, which rang and throbbed painfully, making the Lili wonder if they'd actually been damaged by the deafening noise. She slid down the wall, ending up in a crouch, snout nearly touching the cold floor, eyes squeezed shut against the buzzing and stinging in her head. After a few seconds, she took in a sharp breath and pushed herself halfway up, teeth bared, claws grappling at the door handle, the Lili desperately wanting to get out of the skinny corridor, not even caring what was on the other side...

Spike, realizing that he couldn't reach the Lily, Withdrew his head back out of the opening, then went back to eating the kill, the Spino knowing that either Lightfoot or Goldeye could reach the Lily when they arrived...

With a final low snarl, the pained Lili drew the handle low enough to hear a light click and feel the heavy door begin to swing freely. Her claws scrabbled to get ahold of the edge, and she slowly pulled it toward her, looking past it into another corridor of about the same length that lead to a spiraling stairwell. With a quick glance backwards, she shoved the door the rest of the way and scrambled down the next corridor, halting at the foot of the stairs and looking around. She'd be safer from the Spinosaur if she climbed to a higher level, but there was no quick escape route from smaller creatures dozens of feet in the air...

Shredder looked at the buildings, bordering right on the treeline. He seemed to be on the southern tip of the woodland.
This'll be a perfect place to stay, he thought. The old buildings overshadowed the small clearing perfectly, effectively hiding him from any possible threat, or any potential meals. He could hear a stream running nearby too, so he had a source of water. He had heard more deep roars earlier in the day, different from the ones he had heard previously, but he brushed them aside. He was quite used to the sudden outbreaks of shouting that seemed to happen all the time. And he had found a great place for a home. He decided everything within about a square mile would be his territory for now...

Blade smiled at the female's exhaustion. he didn't blame her. he himself had been feeling the mind numbing effects of exhaustion. regardless of how much he reassured himself that the humans were gone and that this place belonged to dinosaurs now, their presence overwhelmed him, their constructs surrounding him, their contraptions littering the pathways they carved in their hive-like world. and that presence, disturbed him. and with that discomfort came restless nights, discomforted by the cold environment, the deadness of this place. even despite the plants, the local, though small, mammals, mice, rats, cats, dogs, and others, the birds occasionally sounding their musical tones above. even despite all that, it still did nothing to throw off the dark, dead feel of this alien world. he wondered, silently, how long he would have to suffer this discomfort, before his mind finally found peace, and allowed him the luxury of a peaceful sleep. pulling himself, almost forcefully, from his wandering thoughts, he settled, before giving a glance to Alira; the only connection to home he had at the moment. "You have any ideas about a good place to sleep? i can't get used to sleeping on these human-created paths....it makes sleeping on a boulder seem like a luxury....at least they aren't as sharp" growled the Allosaur finally, having had to draw strength to speak, having seemingly disconnected from the world for a few brief moments in thought...

as Crusher neared the Western part of the island, he took in the scents surrounding him. Liliensternus...and Spinosaurs. he thought he could pick up the faintest scent of Ceratosaur on the breeze that drifted through the ghostly hallways of this human metropolis, though it was too faint to be sure. amongst the scents of the predators, he also picked up the scent of Lambeosaurus, as well as Pachycephalosaurs, the stench of a small family group of Iguanodons and a lone Triceratops. he considered hunting, but shrugged the idea off. he had eaten only hours ago, and the Carnotaur he had killed had fed him well, as well as his daughter, and her friends. he would wait till later to feed. sighing, the Rex looked up at the sky, the magestic orange, purple and blue hues painting the clouds above being the last outcries of the setting sun, the only thing that was constant wherever he seemed to go. Sorna, here, whatever other place the humans had taken him to once before. even the prey didn't taste the same anymore. the diet the herbivores fed on, the fear of their surroundings and the discomfort of living in this alien environment came out as an unpleasant change in how they tasted. the water, was poisoned by the horrific, unnatural creations the humans once dwelled in. the air, despite it having been long since free of the constant poisoning of the human cars, still carried their nose-piercing scent. and yet, even in this decaying forest of rock and metal, life found a way. the forest in the center of the island had obviously once been contained by barriers, perhaps a nod to how much humans were still like any other living creature, dependent on the solace found in the peace of the wilderness to remove it from their lives completely. now, with no humans to interfere, nature was taking back what rightfully belonged to it, the barriers once containing the forest slowly being crushed and consumed by the trees and bushes and moss. the once smooth rock paths were being mangled by such a humble plant as grass, which now sprouted through every crack it found in the unnatural rocky earth, to the point some large areas had become shallow grassland. vines wrapped around arcing metal posts over the paths, draping off them in thick ropes. he had no doubt that if it were given long enough, the vines would consume the post, crush it under their collective weight, just as they had done on Sorna. the massive rock constructs built by humans in seeming defiance to nature, standing tall and daunting, piercing the skies above like spikes into flesh, would also, like Sorna, one day begin to crumble. given long enough, they may even collapse, and on such a scale as this, the entire island would become a gargantuan pile of rubble. it was a comforting thought to know that mankind's hold on nature would never be absolute, never permenent. but it also worried him. if his family were to stay here, one day they may end up becoming the final victims of humanities abominations. it was a troubling thought to consider, and Crusher tried his best to forget it. however, other, more immediate troubles arose in their place. Nightshade. the black elder Rex had taken everything from him once. and he had no intention of letting him live to do so again. the fact that he managed to almost literally steer all the hardships the island had to offer for Crusher to his own will, and to achieve it from the shadows despite his size and disquietening presence, were all the more reason to fear him remaining hidden for too long. but then. what if he were back on Sorna? what had he done to the island in Crusher's absence? had he hunted down all other challengers for his title? had he killed all Crusher's remaining friends? did he know about Rampages family? or, rather, had he killed them before approaching Crusher himself? to perhaps destroy all intimate ties with the family? so many things to consider...Crusher shook his mind free of the thoughts. if I keep dwelling in the past, the future will cease to exist for me. the Rex took another scent of the surroundings to distract his mind, tracing the scent of the Spinosaur and Lambeosaurid, to find out who owned this place. the Rex began to move. judging by the scent he wasn't in any form of territory or path the Spinosaur had taken yet. instead, he was walking in the opposite direction, on what could possibly be a collision course. or possibly simply towards the border. he knew however, that the Spinosaur was somewhere ahead, and the scent wasn't strong enough yet to determine if he knew it or not...

"There was that mossy tree back there," Alira growled, turning her head to look back in the direction they'd come from. "The moss was soft and the grass was pretty long and thick. Seems decent, comparatively."

As Spike gorged himself on the dead Lambeosaurus, both Lightfoot and Goldeye rushed out of the woods and to the kill, the two ceratosaurus began to dig in, Spike too busy eating with the Ceratosaurs to remembe rthe Lily hidden in the building...

Switchblade glanced backwards once more, only able to see flashes of movement out the door, unable to tell what kind of creatures had joined the Spino, and honestly, caring only about getting as far away from it as possible. Seeing that going up seemed to be her only option, the Lili started carefully up the stairs, finding them somewhat awkward to walk on. She continued up to the second floor landing, finding two more doors, each going in a different direction. Picking the one that lead away from the predator below, she again clawed at the handle and pulled it open, walking through more slowly, looking around as she passed rows of rooms on each side. They all seemed mostly alike, filled with various sized metal boxes, wooden desks and strewn with paper. It wouldn't be the most comfortable place to sleep, but she didn't have much choice. Giving her still buzzing head a shake, the Lili stopped somewhere around the middle of the corridor in front of a side door that was already ajar, giving it a light push before entering the small office, walking toward a large desk by the window. There were piles of human items in front of it, mostly obscuring it from the entrance. If something did get in here, it would be less likely to spot her in the shadow of the table. Crouching low, she crawled into the shadow of the tiny wooden cave and curled up, listening to the muffled noises of the dinosaurs outside, drifting in through the partially open window...

Shredder felt hunger pangs approaching, slowly but surely, and decided he'd better eat before he was unable to hunt from exhaustion. He started moving toward what was the center of the forest area, give or take. He could hear the sound of flowing water from nearby as well...

As Crusher neared the source of the scents, he realised he had met the Spinosaur this scent belonged to before. and the Ceratosaurs, as well. an amusing turn of events. deciding to check further, the Rex continued to approach the scents, finally looking around a corner, down a street, spotting the Spinosaur and the two Ceratosaurs, eating the Lambeosaurid he had also caught the scent of. however, the Liliensternus was also fairly strong around here, and he realised it was one he knew. briefly, but still, an acquaintence. Switchblade...one of Darkness and Steeltalon's group of friends...last he remembered, she was a very timid, and hardly capable in defending herself. he decided it'd probably be a good idea to find her. at the very least, Fatalis and, from what faint scents he had gathered recently, possibly Blade, would probably like to know one of their group members were alive...

Aircrest stumbled over a strange path that cut through the overgrown land, not exactly like the ones where the human spires lay. These paths were smaller and seemed to have pebbles embedded in them. The raptor stepped onto the strange ground, finding it to feel like the rocks at Sorna's coast, though less moist. Looking down the path, the raptor could see what seemed to be a lake of sorts, the forest especially thick down the way. Interested, he trotted towards it.

Red eye growled to Orange sail:"I feel like going for a walk on my own, so I can think about both how we were taken from our old home and how we ended up here." The spinosaur nodded and growled:"Just be careful. There's no telling how many large predators might be in this area of this island." The raptor gove a nod to his ally, then turned, walking off into the undergrowth...

Some time later, Aircrest stood at the very edge of the reservoir, eyes slits. A spinosaur was wading in its depths, though it couldnt see the raptor crouched amongst the shrubs. "Damn fish eater" Aircrest hissed to himself. With a sigh, he turned tail, walking back along the path he followed....

As he walked on, Red eye picked up a faint scent in the air:The scent of a raptor. Suprisingly, it seemed that the owner was on it's own rather than with others. Curiosity getting the better of him, he began to follow the scent, rembering to keep himself alert for the scents of larger predators...

A twig snapped, making Aircrest's head perk up. The noise came from behind... which meant something was passing by, or following him. Wary of both possibillities, the raptor crouched down, priming his legs before finally launching into the trees, landing on a branch, which shuddered slightly before the raptor shot up another level, disappearing into the green leaves...

Red eye hissed silently as he heard the twig snap under his foot. The noise would have alerted the other raptor and if it hadn't run, chances were that it might think he was hostile. Following the scent, he soon reached the place where the owner had been, the scent betraying that it was still in the area. As he entered the area, had made it clear through his actions that he did not have aggression on his mind...
