"Not all mutants are horrible monsters. My involvement with the mutant pack was to secure a safe place for my sons. Once again, picking up the pieces left behind by our little 'group'." Darkness growled, still somewhat bitter. "And again, you would've known this if you weren't such an ignorant fool." he continued, yawning.

"I couldnt care leeeeeessss" Aircrest reminded Darkness once again with a drawn out hiss. "Seriously. Its great that you didnt kill them for being related to Steeltalon and all. It really is." He growled. "Your issues are your own. As are your motives. Both of which are none of my concern"

Darkness shrugged. "You were the one so eager to dive into the past. It is not my fault that you didn't like what you found." he responded simply.

"I asked about your hatchlinghood." Aircrest retorted. "Not your whole damn life story!"

"And I told you just that, and not any more. You being an ignorant fool is not part of my life story...its part of yours." Darkness growled, indifferent.

"Then what was that bit about your sons, smartass?" Aircrest growled matter of factly. "Jeeze, way to misinterperet a joke. I meant, contrary to your belief, seeing you talk isnt some rare miraculous occurance."

"Purely conversation. You mentioned the mutants, and I explained they weren't as bad as everyone claims." Darkness growled, still calm. "After all, I am one of them." he continued. "And it wouldn't be such a surprise if you knew who you were dealing with...and clearly you do not."

"Please." Aircrest said with a snort. "Ive killed so many yet Ive still managed to do good in my life!" He growled mockingly. He let out another, wordless snort before barking "Go scare some hatchlings. And I dont mean Fatalis' pack"

"Oh look, I think the hatchling's finally awake. Are we going to storm off now? Oh wait, the self glorification comes first, then the dramatic departure." Darkness growled, still indifferent. Now things were getting interesting...

"No." Aircrest barked. He shifted around, getting comfortable, but not too comfortable so that he would fall asleep. "You say I have no idea who you are. Why everyone fears you. Well then, enlighten me, 'Walking Shadow'."

"I'd rather not, least I be accused of rambling again..." Darkness growled mockingly, smirking.

"Classic" Aircrest growled. "As far as I can see, Im talking to a killer who managed to overcome his violent urges in favor of a family...or, rather, 'supposed' family that left him to rot. Then he relapsed and now finds closure in his reputation and past actions" He barked. "If you couldnt be loved, you'd be feared." He yawned. After smacking his lips a few times, he growled "Im pretty sure I know who Im dealing with, Darkness. Someone who's fed on the fear...or 'ignorance' of the masses as your name spread across the island."

The green Lili came to a stop a couple of yards from the edge of the lake, having been lagging a bit behind for the last half of the trip. She glanced around to pick a resting spot between a pair of close-growing trees, noticing the Rex drink from the lake, but too tired at the moment to do the same. She simply ducked below the thin branches and sank to the ground in the shadow of the plants, curled her long neck and tail around her body, and within seconds, started to drift into a doze...

The two siblings said nothing, but understood the risk, sluggishly pushing themselves to their feet one after the other. Sylicora stifled another yawn as she walked around the tree to stand next to her brother, leaning against the plant as she stopped, only then remembering Howler and glancing vaguely around for him. "Are we going far?" Rhojis hissed tiredly...

Howler got to his feet and stumbled around the tree, stepping past Sylicora from behind and scratching his lower jaw absently, listening to the conversation...

"there" growled Fatalis as he walked, pointing a claw at the entrance to a building just outside the original Central Park, a small doorway leading into a fair sized room, rough but warm material greeting their clawed feet, the once soft carpet now hard from wear and tear, flattened to the point it reached near stone-like densities. Fatalis walked over to a large couch, laying on his side precariously on the large seat, tail dangling off the couch most of the way, only the base and the Raptor's fairly stretched body fitting on the couch, claws hanging off the edge...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

Howler followed the raptors in at the rear, looking around with curiosity. "Humans have... strange tastes..." he hissed, mostly to himself.

"And that, is where you are wrong." Darkness growled bluntly. "You act as if I care about my reputation, but I do not. All of those I've killed I did out of convenience, not to make others fear me. My purpose was beyond the arrogant mongrels who thought to stop me." he corrected, eyes narrowing. "My point in bringing up my accomplishments-as few as they may be-is to show you that even a monster like me has something to show for my hardship. You on the other hand...do not." Darkness snarled, shaking his head. "You interpret this as a declaration of how better I am then you...but in actuality, it is a declaration of just how worthless you really are."

Aircrest simply replied "A monster like you decided you needed companionship and a family. Look at yourself now" He paused to let the words linger for a moment. "While few could say Ive done anything note worthy of my time alive... the fact I still am is achievment enough. No, much farther than that... the fact that Im quite happy with how I live. I doubt you can say the same, even with your deeds"

"Because you are a selfish fool." Darkness growled without hesitation. "Why would one risk their life for another, only to be so eager to leave? Because you were not in love with Selena...you only hung around because it made you feel better about yourself. You leeched off her feelings to sate your ego." he snarled. "The only reason you are happy is because you delight in the suffering of others. As amazing as it is...even I do not enjoy what I did."

"The reason Im a loner... is to save everyone of that..." Aircrest snarled, not out anger, but from a sudden surge of memories. The one who just couldnt be forgotten as easilly as the others, that wouldnt stop haunting him. "Its not hard to imagine...that I dont work well with others. I was doing them a favor" He growled, as if speaking his thoughts. He shook his head, bringing himself back to the present. As if he had forgotten the raptor's arguement, he hissed "To whom do I owe my life to give it worth, if not myself?"
