Rhojis and Sylicora followed after the others, pausing as they watched Howler ascend to the branch Fatalis had indicated. After he was up, Sylicora shot her brother a sideways glance, and seeing the trepidation on his face, stepped forward, gaze traveling up and down the tree. Crouching and tensing her clawed limbs, she leapt hard, finding her hands and feet slipping as she clawed her way up the rough, flaking trunk until she could hook a hand around the branch and pull herself into a crouch, rising slowly after a moment. She glanced down to see Rhojis walking reluctantly forward. "A little slippery, but not too tough. Just don't stop partway of you might slide..." Rhojis acknowledged her with a short glance before focusing on the tree. Pausing for a moment, then crouching as the others had done, he kicked off the ground and tried to sink his claws into the bark, only to find out how true his sister's words were, pieces of bark immediately starting to strip off as the raptor scrabbled wildly to make headway, finally able to grab the branch and pull himself up next to the others. "You... were right... about the sliding part..."

Fatalis chuckled. "Second rule to climbing. Reading the tree" he growled. he pointed at the base of his own tree, which hadn't been touched during his climb. the bark seemed to be bulging in parts, thin cracks in them, sharp bends at the points where the cracks were, as if it had been forcefully snapped or bent. to the trained eye it was obvious, but not everyone could identify it. "Tell me what you see" hissed the Lone Wolf...

"Yes. of course. charge right up the Stegosaur and hop on it's back. hope it doesn't go batshit and flip or something. brilliant plan" hissed Hellfire with a chuckle at the mental image...

"Stego-tipping? My my Hellfire, I think you may have given me a new past time... when I cant find a rex to piss off, Ill just startle a stego into falling over" Aircrest barked, looking up to the sky with a smirk. He saw chunks of concrete crumble off the cliffs that jutted out of the worn, unnatrual ground, distant thumps signalling them smashing into the tops of shorter spires and the ground, a thin powder rising up from points of impact. "...Crap" Aircrest growled. "Say, how bad do you think getting hit with a good sized rock from up there would hurt?" He hissed, wanting to get to some place marginally safer...

Alira was a little uneasy as she walked alongside Blade and Selena. The scent of blood was already being carried on the wind. The fact that it would draw in predators from all over was worrying, but what really made her tense was the fact that blood scent tended to cover up most other scents. if there was anything to be worried about in the immediate area, they wouldn't be able to smell it until they were almost on top of it - or it was almost on top of them.

"On a scale of one to ten?" hissed Hellfire as he watched the debris hit the ground, wondering what had pushed it off above, the structures visibly to sturdy to flake like that naturally. "Iiiiiiii'd say about....50" continued the Deinonychus...

Blade walked onwards coming across the strong scent of a border. notably: Crusher's border. "Wow....that was lucky" growled Blade as he walked inwards, the sudden overwhelming scent of a Rex filling their nostrils as thumps could be heard, directly ahead, approaching them...

"Definitely," Selena agreed, Alira instinctively flinching away from the overpowering scent of Rex. The female allo found herself shaking, her calf muscles twitching with the urge to turn tail and run, but she refused to let herself give in to her instincts. She dug her toe claws into the dirt, trying not to seem too scared.

as Blade walked forward into the trees ahead, he bumped into something rough and leathery. glancing up, he saw the head of Rampage, Crusher's mate, hanging over him, the Rex stepping forward out of the trees, glancing down at the trio, fangs bared when she saw them, but calming as she realised who it was. "....Blade?" growled the Rex, her tone one of surprise. "The one and only" growled Blade with a smirk, glancing back at the other two. "Alira. Selena....meet Rampage....Crusher's mate" he growled, Rampage nodding to the two...

"A pleasure," Selena growled, dipping her head respectfully. Alira nodded, falling into her old habit of staying quiet when confronted with a stranger.

"50, huh?" Aircrest said, looking down. "Im not going to stick around to find out" He barked, his body tensing up in a fraction of a second, stream lining as he broke into a run down the decaying streets...

After getting caught up with the whole situation with the dinosaurs "gathering", Shredder realized with a pang that he was still hungry, and needed some kind of food to keep him going. He had missed out, wasting energy on finding his way here, rather than hunting, and needed to compensate fast.
He lifted his snout up, eyes narrowed, and tested the air for what could be possible meals. He couldn't smell anything of importance, so he walked on southward, seeing if there was anything closer to his territory...

Rampage nodded to Selena. "Likewise" she growled. glancing at Alira, she simply smiled, noting what appeared to be nervousness about the Allosaur. "You needn't worry about anything here, Alira. everything you should worry about is behind you" growled the female...

Hellfire snarled as he bolted after the Raptor, the Deinonychus' whole form getting lower and straighter, sleeker and streamlined, taking long strides and powering himself forward to match the smaller predator's speed...

Some time later, the green skinned raptor came to a stop at the edge of the flood lands. As he made his mad dash, he noticed that the spires that towered over him and Hellfire slowly became shorter, and now the structures were just taller than a small tree. "Back here again..." Aircrest growled. Just two days ago, he was running away from a similar place. The only thing missing was the giant tree whose branches bashed through the sides of the strange cliffs, and the over growth of vines, but the smell of vegetation was not too far away. He started forward into the water, soon wading through it...

The twins both stared at the indicated spot on the tree, the green raptor narrowing one eye. They were silent for a moment and when Rhojis finally spoke, he sounded tentative. "Uh... I just see broken, weirdly shaped bark." "I've never seen that... Was it maybe hit by something?" Sylicora wondered out loud, sounding as unsure as the gray raptor.

Hellfire leapt, landing on top of one of the structures, moving along their tops instead of wading through the water. crocodiles and Deinosuchus back on Sorna had made him evasive of water in large quantities...better to go through the extra trouble of climbing, then to be death-rolled by a Crocodile before knowing what hit him...

"Several things can do that to a tree. the most common is, from my experience, temperature, and humidity. can't be sure if that's really what causes it. i have a hunch though. but that's not the point. Do any of you know what it means if the tree's surface looks like that?" hissed the Raptor...

"Whats up Hellfire? Afraid to get wet? Y'know, just because fire is in your name doesnt mean th-" The raptor suddenly stopped dead in his sentence. Ripples ran across the surface. Coming towards him. The minute signs put him on edge instantly. A barly noticable, V shaped wave formed on the surface. Several more popped up. A group of something was speeding right for the raptor, who turned tail and srambled through the murky water, feet gripping the floor with mere seconds to spare. Just as he shot out of the water, the body of a dark scaled crocodile launched out after him. The wet smack of its bulk hitting the ground a few feet from the shallows sounded, and Aircrest turned around to see it's blackish hide slip back into the depths. "Crocs?! Crocs are here too!?" Aircrest hissed, panting in disbelief. "Next your going to have Anacondas slithering around!" He barked, looking away from the water. He ran towards a building, and with a strong kick sent himself onto its roof, landing with a soft patter before following after the Deinonychus. How was he to know that, decades ago, the strange animals loose in this new land were once held in enclosures for the humans to admire. Upon their disappearance, the animals broke free to cultivate the new world... including animals that once lived on Sorna...

"What's up, Aircrest? Afraid...to get...wet?" hissed Hellfire with a chuckle, emphasising the last four words, the cold humour of the situation amusing him. "Rule number one of survival: don't leave your element if you can help it.....there'll always be something tougher waiting for you. Didn't Ripper tell you that?" hissed Hellfire more seriously. Ripper had indeed told them both at one point, but how they remembered that fact was a different thing entirely...Hellfire himself had nearly been cornered and torn apart by a group of Gorgonopsids in a cave when he went exploring early in his lessons with the Elder, so that lesson, like the events that provoked it, was forever burned in his mind...

"He did, but I was thinking that...you know, crocs only existed on Sorna!" Aircrest growled, still in disbelief. The entire place looked unnatrual but, to his suprise, still had the familliar dangers of the island that he knew. He considered the fact that they were brought to this new island, like the dinosaurs were. "What is it with Humans? Their need to just take creatures from their homes, I mean" He hissed...

"Hence why Ripper worded it the way he did. NEVER leave your element if you can help it" hissed Hellfire. at Aircrest's comment on humans, the Deinonychus shrugged. "I dunno...maybe it's just some cruel joke and they'll take us back when it's over?" hissed Hellfire with a chuckle. wishful thinking was never a bad thing, afterall...

"I guess it depends on how far away in time 'over' is." Aircrest growled. "Ive seen human skeletons...aged quite a bit. If humans did bring other creatures to this place in the past...well, those creatures seemed to have outlasted them... punch line of the joke? We're all stuck here, now that they're dead..." He snarled. "Thats one hell of a joke..." he growled softly, shaking his head

Howler shrugged. "Difficult to climb, maybe?" he asked.
