"I dunno" Aircrest growled, watching as his sister bolted out from the expanse of fabric, dumping them onto the pile and then sorting them out with her hands and muzzle, with the less comfortable being the base of the nest and the lighter forming a neat ring and padding at the center. "Hey Hazel, did you search this place to make sure we're alone?" Aircrest barked. "Yes" Hazel replied. "Ran all around, checking every corner and shadow."
"And practiced making a nest...?" Aircrest growled. "If Im going to start a family, Ill need a place to stay" Hazel replied matter of factly. "Its not moss and grasses, but'll do" She growled, slipping into the mound of clothes...

"A family?" Rose asked, curious. She cocked her head.

"Well...yes" Hazel growled to the blind raptor. "Ive been-"
"Looking for a mate" Aircrest growled suddenly. "I still cant believe it..." Hael laughed, growling "Seriously Aircrest, its not that shocking. Havent you found love yet?" Aircrest was quiet for a few seconds. He expected a memory of Arisol. He got a memory of Selena, the last time he saw her since being taken from the island. "Yes..yes I have" Aircrest growled simply. Hazel cocked her head at his reaction, but didnt press anything. Perhaps her little plan with the nest, trying to get her brother to think of settling down and finding a mate, was a bad idea. Little did she know, he already had a mate...

The edge of Sylicora's mouth started to curve into an amused smile, but she froze when the new, unfamiliar voice spoke and once again, both raptors' heads snapped to the spot in the foliage where the sound came from. This time Rhojis spoke, his voice cautious. "Who else is there?"

"I wish you luck," Rose growled, dipping her head to the female. She turned to Aircrest. "And you."

in a blink, Fatalis had disappeared from his perch, drifting into the foliage with an almost unnatural silence, unnoticed to all but the ones focusing specifically on him...

Blade grunted, uncomfortable with how that had gone. "You'll have to excuse Darkness....he's....well, for lack of a better term, he's different" growled Crusher as he glanced towards where Darkness had gone. "Anyway, why go to the effort to look for me, or, knowing Blade, us?" he rumbled as he eyed the trio. Blade glanced at his friends before finally speaking. "Well...You told me that story of the time the humans brought you he-" he started, Crusher shaking his head. "Not here. the place i went was alot less....rocky. their structures, their dens, they were smaller where i went" he growled. "Oh.....But you HAVE been taken by humans, right?" hissed Blade. Crusher simply nodded. "We were wondering....seeing as you've been taken by them before...do you have any idea why they'd bring us here and then just...leave us?" he growled. Crusher chuckled. "Well...as hard it is to believe after what happened on the island, it's not easy for them to catch us. many of them die just to get ahold of one of us. we got free a bit too late this time though...if last time is anything to go by, they wanted to take us to their home....what for, i don't know. they couldn't hold me long enough last time for me to find out" growled Crusher as he remembered the incident, as a tear of light ripped across the sky, ...

Hellfire meanwhile was laying where he sat in the tree, getting comfortable, enjoying the cluster of cold drops that hit his back, slowly becoming more frequent...

Hazel dawned a small smile and growled "Thank you, Rose"
"Yeah, thanks" Aircrest growled, snapping out of his trance like state when he heard thunder rumbling overhead. He shook his head, turning around and walking to the entrance. He looked up to the tree where Hellfire was and barked "Damn it, Hellfire! Get out of that tree before lightning gets you!"

The unknown speaker smirked, amused with their apparent fear of him, before they even knew who or what he was.
He noticed something looked different. One of them was missing, though how or where he didn't know. With a snarl, he leaped off his branch, shooting upward into thicker foliage, leaving behind two thick gouges on the tree where he'd been standing...

a blow knocked the Dromeosaur out of the trees before it reached a higher branch, Fatalis watching down from where it had been going, fangs bared at the predator, a long threatening hiss eminating from the Raptor. "Enough with the hiding games" hissed the Raptor menacingly...

Hellfire glanced up at the thunderous sky above, shrugging. "You really think lightning will hit me, in a tree in a pit in the middle of an island of cliffs?" he barked...

In an instant, Bane was on his feet, moving blindingly fast; he was so quick and agile that he was able to run up the trunk of the tree, with the help of his claws. He scampered up, and snapped at Fatalis with his jaws, serving as a distraction, before jumping up, and pushing off Fatalis, leaving the same two gouges on the raptor's back, landing on a branch far above, almost at the very tip of the tree.

Meanwhile Renegade had disappeared also, no longer on the branch he was standing on, adjacent to Sylicora's...

Fatalis caught himself, having been positioned between two branches, simply springing off the one behind him when pushed, colliding with Bane, the two plummeting out of the upper branches, hitting a pair of crossing branches not far off the ground, in sight of the others, Fatalis on top, killer claw positioned right over the Dromeosaur's gut, his claws at it's neck, an aggressive snarl coming from the Raptor, blood dripping from his own claws, a set of 6 claw marks on Bane's flank from when Fatalis hit him, a shallow gash on one leg from a killer claw also evident. "Do you have a death wish, Dromeosaur?" hissed the Raptor, his claws in such a position that the slightest move could cut Dromeosaur's throat, or worse, eviscerate it, the Raptor standing over the Dromeosaur's sideways pointing feet, standing almost on it's flank, positioned in such a way that the killer claws couldn't reach him. an attempt to move it's clawed hands were similarly out of reach...

"If it hits the tree, 'Hellfire' wont be just a name any more" Aircrest barked in response. "But hey, if your so sure, stay up there. Cant blame a friend for worrying though!" He added as he stepped back into the building, rain falling lightly outside for the moment...

As they had landed, the dromeosaur kicked upward, knocking Fatalis off of him, before rolling to his feet.
"Nay... perhaps it is I who wishes death upon others," the dromeosaurus whispered, smirking slightly...

OOC: RPGTEW style evasion doesn't apply here, EE. it takes more than simply *dodges* to get out of a pin. Fatalis angled the blow so Bane's legs are off to the side, making a kick impossible

it took a split second for Fatalis to recover, standing, pleased. a severe gash could be seen on the Dromeosaur's neck, as well as a potentially fatal gash to the gut. "Well, perhaps that'll stay as a reminder of what happens when you try to attack creatures that can kill you" hissed Fatalis coldly...

The twins were by now extremely tense, almost ready to jump off the branch and bolt, knowing full well they wouldn't stand a chance in a fight. "Anyone else think we should move?" Rhojis mumbled to the two raptors beside him. Sylicora's eyes were locked on Fatalis as she hissed in voice too low for anyone but the closest raptors to hear, "I don't think he'll get past Fatalis... But be ready to run anyway..."

Razorwing squawked in alarm and glided down from the branch, landing on Rhojis' head to watch the fight. "I swear, some dinosaurs just have no manners..." he muttered. Howler watched the fight as well, but he seemed to be looking off in the distance, as if focusing on something else entirely...

"It doesn't sound too bad out there," Rose growled, turning to Aircrest. "Is it going to get worse?"

"No idea" Aircrest growled as thunder boomed once more, the darkness of the cave suddenly lit up. "You can only predict the rain when you see the clouds. Cant predict how the rain falls, lightning and the direction of the wind, can you?" he asked. He was fairly certain it'd get heavier in time, if the last storm was anything to go by...

after several minutes of rain, Hellfire leapt out of the tree, heading towards the cover where Aircrest, Hazel and Rose were. rain was great, but too much made him uncomfortable. more risk of slipping...
