Aircrest looked at Rose, a soft chuckle escaping him from the irony of the raptor's words. The pattering of rain drops against the rock like ground grew louder, the water in the flooded street rising slightly

the Deinonychus' sillhouette cast a shadow over the duo for a moment as Hellfire entered, shaking his head free of water, a satisfied smile on his face after sitting in the downpour for several minutes. "I needed that..." hissed the Deinonychus...

Aircrest turned his head from Rose to the Deinonychus, his chuckle turning into a hissing snicker. "Good to see you didnt turn to steam, Hellfire" Aircrest growled. "I guess you of all creatures needed a cool down" He added with a bark...

Rose let out a small snort, the corners of her mouth twitching.

Hellfire chuckled as he moved inside, crouching before laying on his side, yawning sleepily...

"Bah, age is getting to you" Aircrest growled to Hellfire as he too laid down on the floor. "Unless you stayed up late last night, there shouldnt be reason for sleepiness"

OOC: It doesn't if said kick happened before your blow, as soon as they'd hit the ground.
IIRC, you did something similar in your previous posts.
But alright, I'll try not to anymore.

"As I remember, it was you who attacked me," the dromeo growled, eyes narrowing.

"With good reassson... Renegade hissed, having moved from the shadows to a location positioned behind Bane, moving without detection somehow. He and Fatalis now had the dromeosaurus surrounded, trees boxing in the three of them...

"You were hiding in the shadows, discomforting the pack like only a coward intent on harming them would. when you realised i had moved you moved to try and intercept me. you have no right to complain" hissed Fatalis coldly as he eyed the Dromeosaur. if need be, he'd finish the job of killing him right then and there....he was easily capable of it. the Dromeosaur's inexperience showed in it's movements, it's actions, it's words. it was a blazing beacon singling it out for the trained eye to exploit...

"For your information, Aircrest, yes i did stay up all night last night. damned local creatures are too noisy and too curious for their own good" hissed Hellfire somewhat irritably. exhaustion had a knack for making creatures moody, and Hellfire in particular was surprisingly susceptible to mood swings when tired. despite the peace of the thunderous downpour that promised to sing it's soothing song outside, Aircrest ha broken the peace with a snide comment in a much less pleasant tone...

The twins continued to watch, still poised to make a move at any moment, though Rhojis rolled his mismatched eyes up in an attempt to look at the pterosaur when he felt claws prickling into the top of his head. Sylicora's attention never wavered, and her eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly when she heard Renegade speak...

Switchblade kicked at a jammed door, took a step back, then did it again, finding the door to be rusted too tightly shut to budge. Quickly giving up, the dripping Lili turned and trotted along the sidewalk, having to walk almost to the end of the block before she found a door that was ajar. Without bothering to scent the place for occupants, she shouldered it impatiently aside and walked in, finding herself confronted with yet another hallway, somewhat like the last building she was in, with rows of doorways on either side. Shaking some of the water off her soaked body, she walked over to the nearest room, this one not even having a door. It seemed to have been ripped from its hinges long ago. Stepping in, she found little more than a ripped couch and a rectangular table in the corner. Glad to have gotten out of the rain, but irritated that it had now made her search that much harder, she simply lowered herself down to rest her legs in the nearest corner with an exasperated sigh, hoping the rain would let up soon...

"Cranky as a hatchling" Aircrest growled, shaking his head. He looked over to Hazel, who seemed to follow in the Deinonychus' example, curling up in the mound of clothes and closing her eyes. He blinked a few times, laying his head on his crossed arms. A flash of light pressed the shadows back. Maybe he'd go get something for the others to eat. Make up for annoying Hellfire when he woke up...

Rose settled into a crouch some distance away from the others, yawning. She leaned to one side and curled up, her sightless eyes closing as she started to doze off. It had been a tiring day, and a trying one, and she would probably be facing another like it tomorrow. She couldn't latch onto Hazel, Aircrest and Hellfire after all - they likely wouldn't tolerate her for long, and it was better to stay on her own than get used to living with others only to be forced back to going it alone.

Aircrest looked to Rose as she too, got ready for sleep. He let out a sigh, growling quietly "I cant be helped, I guess" He sighed again. "Sleep soundly" he thought as he got up and walked over to the entrance of the building. He laid down once more, just out of range of the rain drops that splattered infront of him. He put his plans of hunting on hold. It would be hard enough trying to track something in this weather, and he couldnt afford to leave the sleeping group. He'd look over them, incase something tried to attack them as they slumbered...

Bane's eyes widened in mock surprise; the irony of Fatalis' words were sickening.
"I seem to recall you knocking me to the ground, when I moved to avoid you," he retorted scornfully. "And the fact that me, simply standing there talking, frightened your little lackeys, is pathetic," he added, smirking.

"Enough," Renegade snarled irritably. "Fatalisss, may I?" he asked, eyeing the dromeo with something close to hatred...

before anyone knew what happened, Fatalis had struck the Dromeosaur across the face, three more narrow claw marks marking the predator's face, Fatalis' fangs bared at the Dromeosaur's words. "Your ignorance knows no bounds...for you to not know the difference between confusion and fear....you're probably the worst predator i've ever had the displeasure of meeting...The fact you know nothing of ambush tactics further proves your ignorance. Be thankful your head is still attached to your neck, Dromeosaur...I could very easily change that if pushed" snarled the Raptor as he stared the Dromeosaur in the eyes, wary of any attempted action. "Do what you will with him Renegade...just make sure he's left with a reason not to taunt others more dangerous than himself" he growled...

Redclaw slammed into the door and burst into the building and shaking himself dry, laid on a pile of mattress's and waited for the rain to cease, shutting his eye's.

The dromeosaur took the hit without flinching.
"You have speed, raptor, that I'll give you."
Bane moved swiftly, jumping backwards, while turning at the same time. Before anyone could react, he had jumped off Renegade's neck and upper back, leaving the same two deep gouges there.
"But so do I."

Renegade snarled, partly out of pain, but mostly in irritation. He looked up to see Bane in the same tree, smirking insolently down at them.
He gave Fatalis a single nod, then charged Bane, running at full speed toward the tree...

Another flash lit up the dark building, and another boom of thunder rolled over the tormultuous skies. It was so quiet after that the pattering rain seemed surreal. He wondered about the others scattered about this place. Blade, Fatalis and the others who were with them. It was weird in itself; his present was almost a parient of his past. Friends scattered about, friends he probably wouldnt meet again. Blade and Hellfire being the only exceptions, and even then, they only saw each other sparingly. Then there was Selena, who he was utterly confused as to what to do about. Go look for her later? If it stopped raining, probably. The scents would be almost undiscernable after the storm, and the sheer area would make finding her harder still, assuming she was taken to begin with. His eyes wandered over to his sister. What was he going to do about her? He could take her over to the pack he stayed with. It was barely a day he spent there, but he made a good impression...right? Well, she was looking to start a family, and having her join the pack could be the opportunity she was looking for. He was comfortable with those three he went on a patrol with...what were their names? Sandstorm, Blacktop and Mira? That sounded about right. Maybe they'd help her get into the swing of things. He'd think about it. Then theres Rose... she was able to keep herself alive this long alone, but he couldnt help worrying about leaving her alone. At the same time, he couldnt see her keeping up with his life style. Conflicted, Aircrest turned his thoughts back onto Selena. He was able to track down Ripper from one side of this new island to the next. That alone was thought to be impossible. So, if she was here and he tried hard enough, he would be able to find her-

Another crashing in the sky sounded off. So this was his first moments of a life started a new. A storm with thunder to rock him to the core, lightning to illuminate the dark future and rain to wash away his past transgressions. How...fitting...

The raptors glanced after Renegade and the Dromaeosaur, their eyes then moving to Fatalis, a bit shaken, but more confused about what just happened. Sylicora suddenly glanced up as she felt several drops fall across her head and back and, out of the corner of her eye, thought she saw a streak of lightning beyond the tops of the towering structures. A soft, low frequency rumble confirmed her suspicions a few seconds later...

Darkness found himself flooded with memories once more, hearing Crusher talking about their experience. The sight of all those humans...nearly made the raptor lose himself to his bloodlust. Then again, he did just that after some time anyway...but considering how few they were in that populated human city, betraying his only allies would've been a very unwise decision.

An eerie whistling echoed throughout the building as the winds blew about. The rain water was starting to splash in the green raptor's face. He jerked his head back and got to his feet, turning about and walking into the cavern. He navigated through the stands of fabric that were propped up all around the place, heading for a dim glimmer of light that shone through the ceiling. Soon enough, Aircrest came to an incline with jagged outcroppings. It seemed easy enough to climb. The irony of this being that it wasnt meant to be climbed, but instead it carried humans up in an endless loop on its own. The raptor started up the escalator, which might as well be stairs now, up to the next level in the cave. This level, like the one below, was filled with strange colorful material on strange stands. There were large openings all about, with jagged peices of the clear barriers sprouting from the sides. Rain was being blown in, but atleast it was brighter than downstairs. Faint tapping caught his attention, and he turned back to look down the stairs. His sister had followed after him. "I though you were sleeping..." Aircrest growled. "I was trying to" Hazel barked softly in response. "Couldnt" she added shortly after. "Wanna talk about something?" Aircrest growled. "Nah." Hazel growled. "I just thought you'd be lonely" Aircrest turned away and walked towards one of the large windows, staring out to the street. If he wanted to, he could launch himself into the tree Hellfire had come from. "Lonely?" He barked. "Since when do loners get lonely?" He hissed. "I dunno" Hazel replied. "Why is the loner staying with a friend?"
"We travel together when ever we happen see each other" Aircrest barked in reply. "Doesnt mean Im lonely"
"I see..." Hazel growled. Again, her efforts seemed to be futile. Aircrest, however, was infact feeling a longing. If Selena was here, then she'd be looking for him. Its about time he started looking for her. Hellfire would understand that finding his mate was more important to him now than exploring...
