Steeltalon stretched and yawned, feeling refreshed. It had been a long time since she'd been able to relax like this. Laying on one side lazily, Steeltalon glanced at Silver, who was staring at her with slightly narrowed eyes. "You went hunting," the hatcling observed, her eyes narrowing further. Steeltalon didn't reply, tearing meat from the Compy she had killed. She swallowed it, not feeling very hungry. "You shouldn't have," Silver pressed. Steeltalon shrugged. "So what if I did? My leg will never fully heal if I just rest. It will be permanently weakened from lack of exercise and not as strong as I need it to be. It's bad enough it's broken." She stood and stretched the broken leg, feeling it tense from the effort. "It's already stiffened up." Silver grumbled as Steeltalon made her way out of the cave, following soon after. "More of you is rubbing off on me every day," Silver muttered. Steeltalon glanced at her, amused. "If you weren't like me, you wouldn't be able to stand me," she growled. Silver sighed, and twitched as Steeltalon hissed playfully, "Or Darkness either." Silver stared at Steeltalon, blue eyes slowly widening. "I don't know what you mean." Steeltalon laughed. "I saw you two last night. Kind of cute, really." She laid down in a patch of sunlight, enjoying the morning's warmth. Silver couldn't look at Steeltalon. The older female was still laughing softly. "So what? I was on a rock and I fell off," she mumbled, looking anywhere but at Steeltalon. The mutant's laughter didn't grow louder, but she was laughing harder. Silver could see Steeltalon's shoulders shaking gently when she finally met her red gaze. "You're berating me for hunting with a broken leg while you're falling asleep beside a raptor you barely know," Steeltalon purred when she was done laughing. Her red eyes glittered with amusement. "How ironic." Silver stared at the ground, too embarrassed to meet Steeltalon's gaze.
