After a while without food Umbra had gotten really hungry. He got up from his resting area between the two buildings and walked to the east looking for a prey item he could take by suprise.

There was a corythisaurus grazing on the vegetation between the buildings. Umbra croutched down so it wouldn't see him and waited for the right opportunity to launch his attack. While it was grazing it kept getting closer to him without knowing. It didn't help the animal that the wind was also in his favor. Once he thought it was close enough he lunged at it and grabbed it's neck in his throat and began shaking it violently.

After he felt it's neck break from the thrashing he let the corpse fall to the ground and began tearing into it, eating the internal organs and flesh, gobbling them down as though he hadn't eaten in a year.

Chomper awoke and yawned shaking the sleepyness from his gigantic body and decided to hunt. he headed toward where he made his first kill in his new domain to see if any of the local herds were there and his guess was right, as several herds of different herbivore dominated the plain. Hadrosaurs and ceratopsians grazed on shrubs and low hanging branches while a lone saltosaurus browsed on the tree tops " such a selection of food, what shall i have" chomper growled then went through a mental list of avalible prey almost like a modern shopper might decide what they wanted for lunch " hmmm, no to edmontosaur just had some, umm no to saltosaur it would take to long, no to gallimus to fast, Ahah i'll have iguanadon".

The Grey giga then stayed in the tree line and began to circle the clearing toward his next meal.

Lightfoot watched as Spike continued to eat from th eCamarosaur carcass, the SPino still not showing signs of stopping. Perhaps his last fight had made him very hungry? Lightfoot shook his head as he began to fall asleep. That didn't matter to him right now. All he needed was some sleep...

With most of the Torosaur having been devoured, Blackscale stopped eating, ahving eaten her fill. The massive black T-rex headed off south, to patrol her territory. She knew that with all the greenery in her territory, lots of herbivores gathered here, and wherever there were herbivores, there were also other large predators that ignored the scent markings that made the boundaries between territories...

Fatalis chuckled at the discussion betwen the packmembers. "You're learning" he growled with a smirk. he slowed when he picked up the scent of a superpredator, and changed course, heading Northwest instead of simply North. he was thankful for the direction the wind was blowing, giving him early warning. with Renegade, th pack's chances against a superpredator vastly improved. not only could they outrun it, but if need be, Renegade and he could fight it off. but that still didn't mean they were free to risk it. time and acquaintencs had taught him that Rexes were skilled ambush predators, and in an area saturated with one's scent, it's position would be difficult to determine, meaning it could literally strike from anywhere. evading the source of the scent, which was undoubtedly a territorial border, meant they wouldn't have to worry about it. even if it ventured outside it's territory, he'd be able to see it coming, and hold it off. "Rhojis, Sylicora, Howler. easy question for you. do you smell that?" growled the black and grey raptor. he intended to find out how much they could identify from the scent. Fatalis himself could identify it was a fully grown Rex, a female, and that it was alone. unmated. he could estimate that the border was a few hundred meters Northeast of their current position, safely out of range, but close enough to divulge details. judging by extremely faint traces of Torosaurus scent in the air, he guessed that a fair distance into the territory was a Torosaurus kill. it was too faint for him to identify when it was killed, or how big the kill was, but he guessed that it would likely be sub adult or elderly, judging by the fact it was a lone, adult Rex. it would naturally try and get the largest amount of food in the easiest possible way....preying on the weak...

Blade nodded. "Met him several months ago, along with Selena, and a few interesting 'friends' of theirs. was talking with him yesterday too. ironicly, he was pointing me in the direction of Darkness....though now i'm starting to wonder if i should've kept my mouth shut" growled the Allosaur as he looked at his feet, disappointment notable in his eyes. he should've known he couldn't expect Darkness to be the same lazy, amusing, caring raptor that had taken him in as a juvenile...but still....to see the tormenting, malevolent side of the Raptor as severely as this...it took effort to get his head around it. Guess that's why everyone's always talking abou the 'Good old days'. the present is never as pleasant as the past one dreams to relive thought the Allosaur solemnly...

the hooting of anatotitan echoed through the streets as Crusher noticed the foliage getting thicker once more. the ground was full of dips and holes where rain water had accumulated heavily, forming an almost swamplike environment, vines growing thickly on the walls of abandoned human structures, most of them barely taller than himself. trees grew in abundance, and grass grew in patches, reeds and lilies forming elsewhere, though Crusher couldn't imagine how they had reached here, a place which had undoubtedly once been completely free of such plants. the scent of anatotitan was strong, his acute sense of smell identifying his target as a small family herd of roughly 12 individuals, mostly adults with a few elders and one youngster if his senses served him right. Crusher yawned widely, fangs glinting in the receeding sunlight, the fiery sky casting it's blood red rays on the ground below, streaks of constrasting pink, orange, purple and blue hues decorating the sky in the form of clouds, wispy cirrus clouds forming an eye catching mosaic of colours, lit in such a way by the sun that it seemed as if it were made of long thin tongues of flame. the melodious songs of birds could be heard, their symphony falling on an audience unable to see the phantom orchestra, the branches of the trees acting as a veil to conceal nature's musicians from view. with an admirative groan, the massive Rex walked onwards, leaving the picturesque scene behind him...he didn't need more things to make him think of home...it would only make the pain of being away from it that much harsher...

Hazel shrugged. The tan raptor growled, trying to cheer up the stranger. "I dont know much about this Darkness fellow, but look at him" She barked, glancing to the raptor. "Curled up and alone, met with hostillity as soon as he showed up? I wouldnt be happy either"

Renegade frowned slightly, wondering why Fatalis hadn't addressed him as well, but put the matter out of his mind, assuming that the other raptor had taken him to know; and he was right, the red-orange striped raptor did.
He glanced to the north briefly, before turning his gaze back forward again, examining the terrain around them, acknowledging the position of trees. It was a useful skill he had developed; he remembered as best he could the environment they were in, and what he had passed already, in case of the highly likely chance that they would encounter potential threats. It was so necessary for a lone wolf's survival that it had become ingrained within him, second-nature. The terrain usually came in handy, providing useful escape routes and hiding spots, should the need to run occur, and giving good vantage points for reference during a fight.
With a glance at Fatalis, he muttered, "Hopefully it'sss attracted toward the carcassss, and not us."
He knew from some observation and experience that rexes tended to notice dead, decaying corpses before warm bodies, perhaps even prefer them...

Darkness mumbled something about angry dilphosaurs before shifting slightly, asleep or very close to being so. The dark raptor evidently didn't find any of those reason enough to stay alert.

Chomper walked close to the edge of the treeline carefully putting his giant three toed feet down. He waited for his target to graze before he erupted out of the foilage ramming the herbivore to the ground and ending it with a quick bite to the neck.

Standing over his kill the collosal giganotosaurus roared in victory before he gripped the tail of his meal in between his teeth and ripped it from the body before throwing it toward the pack of compys that followed him wherever he went, with that done he dug into the carcess.

"He wasn't always that way....his situation was...forced" growled Blade gloomily. "He may try very hard to hide it, but he carries a torment of having had everything, and losing almost all of it, twice...having that happen once is enough to break most...twice? I may not agree with how he acts now, but i can't say if i'd be able to handle it any better" he explained...

Howler sniffed the air cautiously, before thoughtfully hissing, "Smells like a Rex, I think. I smell some carrion too. It must've made a kill..." Razorwing, who had by this time been joined by Dragonfly, stayed in the back of the group with his Compsognathus friend, mostly ignoring the conversation for now...

"Life's hard, I guess" Hazel growled, looking back to Blade. "How you handle it is what turns you into what you are now... I guess thats how Darkness handed those losses... but he's not all bad. The worst was expected of him when he was just stopping by." She blinked a few times before asking "You want the raptor you knew back, dont you?"

Scenting the air, Rhojis and Sylicora both nodded one after the other, the gray raptor more quickly recognizing the scent as that of a Rex, though neither picking up on the smell of prey immediately. With their minds on the superpredator, it was only after Howler mentioned the kill that they became aware of its presence, Sylicora hissing, "Wow, I nearly missed the kill... Uh, we're not heading near its territory, are we?"

Switchblade found that she didn't need to hold the door open. The mechanism that made so many others hard to move seemed to have become disconnected, so its windowed metal frame stayed where she nudged it against the wall. As soon as she was inside, the soaked Lili gave herself a brisk shake, leaving a small glistening pool on the hard, tiled floor. Glancing around the good-sized room, she suddenly wished she'd picked a cave that wasn't so full of rubble to wait out the last of the slowing storm in. The room was strewn with overturned chairs and small circular tables, their slender legs sticking out at unexpected angles. To add to the mess, a long counter stretched almost the entire length to the back of the room, flanked by a row of small, round metal objects, each on a single leg embedded into the floor. Pausing a couple of yards in, the Lili turned to glance at her old packmate, hissing somewhat apologetically, "Well, this place is better than nothing, but there are lots of things to trip on. Glad we won't have to spend too much time here. It looks like the rain might be letting up..."

The massive female T-rex moved southward, Blackscale tried to pick up any scents that might indicate invaders along this border, but none were comnig up, due tot he wind blowing southward. Since she couldn't rely on scent here to pick up on any intruders, she's have to patrol the entire south border of her territory to make sure everything was in line. The black Rex stopped, then lifted her head upward, letting out a loud and terrifying roar, one that echoed for miles in every direction. That would act as a warning to any nearby predators to not come near this place, or else face the worst consequences....

"You're a riot, Rene--" Howler began, before hearing the Rex's roar. "Yep, definitely a Rex! Who else wants to leave?" he added nervously.

"Not particularly-" Sylicora started with a glance at Renegade, a mild grin starting to creep across her face until the Rex's roar stopped it cold. "Uh, yeah, I'm with you Howler..."

Renegade's snout twitched into another half-grin, though this time it didn't meet his eyes.
"We should... ssstay, and see how thingsss play out," he hissed, indicating he by no means wanted to run away, but didn't want to seem like he was being cocky...
