The green raptor passed through the undergrowth on the trail of a Gallimimus herd not too far off from his postion. He had entered the thicket of plants not too long ago, and carefully brushing against the shrubs so that he wouldnt make the leaves rustle, started disguising his scent as he thought about his hunting strategy. Making a loud, echoing call was good in breaking up groups of prey because it made them think a full on pack attack was imminent. It was a highly sucessful attack plan, but very risky. Another predator would be attracted to the commotion, and being so early, several dinosaurs were still asleep. Not too many predators take kindly to being woken up by a noisy creature. To ensure that he took down a large enough animal to feed three raptors and being able to drag it back to his mate and sister, he'd have to make his attack swift and silent...

Blackscale rose up onto her feet completely, the TYrannosaurus sniffing the air. Her mouth thirsted wor water, which thankfully wasn't too far away, just a couple hundred meters... Deciding to leave for now, Blackscale went off out of the clearing, following her nose toward the nearest source of water... Hopefully, there wouldn't be too much trouble ahead...

Lightfoot sneezed as the male Ceratosaur looked back at his now infected leg, the wound was now just starting to close up, though it would take weeks or even months for the wound to close. He looked over at Goldeye, who was still asleep. She was in the best shape of the three of them, so both Spike and he would have to rely on the female Cerato for food...

Howler merely groaned in annoyance, ignoring Renegade's snide remarks...

"And that's exactly why i'm leaving you with him, Howler. Regardless of the situation, We as a pack, need to be able to work together. at the very least extend your kindness to eachother. Rhojis and Sylicora have achieved that very well, i'm happy to say. you and Renegade however, haven't. so i'm giving you the chance to work on that" hissed Fatalis as he looked back at the two, before continuing onwards into the undergrowth...

The twins merely glanced back at the others as the group separated, following in Fatalis' wake, neither feeling the need to get in on the disagreement. With all five raptors participating, this would be the largest pack either of them had hunted in. The gray raptor ran through their last hunt in his mind, trying to remember what he might have done better. Sylicora was mainly concerned about how she was going to synchronize her own movements with the others and not make a mess of things like she almost did last time...

after a while of walking in silence, Fatalis caught the scent of a Stegosaurus. dangerous to large predators...but for something as small and swift as a raptor...provided he could get a firm grip of the neck, it'd be easy. "What do you two know about Stegosaurs?" he growled as he eyed the siblings...

As the foliage thinned out, Aircrest could see through the breaks of the leaves the bright colored herbivores. Some were sleeping, while a few members of the herd took sentry duty. Their noses were pointed to the air and their nostrils flared as they pulled in moist morning air. Some let out a puff of vapor when they exhaled. The herd numbering around 20 and spread out about another clearing were all different shades of orange. Some even appeared dark red, with stripes running down their sides. Others seemed to have silverish scales amongst their orange hides. Aircrest blinked a few times, eyes shifting from each one of the sentries to a select few Gallimimuses that caught his attention. One particular one however, was his target. It was fairly large and was sleeping not too far from the line of plants. He could strike, fatally wound it and drag it into the brush with ease, but he'd need to time the attack carefully. One mistake in execution could result in the sentries raising the alarm and the entire herd going from sleeping to stampeding...

Selena had been enjoying a pleasant rest, until something tickled her nose. She let out a loud sneeze, effectively waking herself and Alira, who opened one sky blue eye and offered the mutant look-alike a half-annoyed, half-amused look. The allosaur lifted her head and yawned widely, wincing at the stiffness in her muscles as she stood. The first thing Selena noticed was that both Aircrest and Blade were gone. That wasn't too unusual...and their scents were just beginning to fade, suggesting that neither of them had been gone for very long. Looking around, she spotted Blade having a drink not far away. But...where was her mate?

Hazel's head perked up at the sound of Selena's sneeze, eyes darting about the lake side with a sudden alertness in their azure gaze. Once she saw nothing was wrong, she too let out a yawn. He craned her neck and stretched out her arms and legs before rolling to her feet. She looked down to the lake, remembering that her brother was there the night before. She thought he'd be sleeping there, but his scent had gone from a tree, down to the lake and then off into the overgrowth. She blinked a few times, wondering why he'd leave without telling her. Maybe Selena knew. With that, the dark tan raptor walked out from under the cover of leaves, heading over to the mutant look alike

Aircrest held an intent gaze on his target, glancing periodically to the sentry, who'd swing its head about, panning the area. It needed a distraction, but not something that would drive it over the edge and sound the alarm. Aircrest looked down at the ground, trying to find something he could use. After a short moment of scrounging at the dirt, he found something promising. A strange fruit. He'd seen something similar on Sorna, he remembered pelting mutants with it. A grin appeared on his face and he gripped the strange red and green orb which was hard to the touch. Waiting until the sentry was looking away from his general direction, he then sent the fruit flying into the leaves with a strong throw. The rustling caught the many sentries' attention and they looked to the branches, and then to where they heard a thump against the floor somewhere beyond a line of plants. The sentries looked to each other, squawking orders back and fourth as they tried to make sense of the event before one decided to investigate. Another followed suit, ready to sound the alarm incase the first was attacked. The others watched as the two look out left, and Aircrest siezed his oppurtunity. He shot out of the bushes, speeding over to his target and pouncing onto it. Before it can even let out a cry as claws sank into its flesh, his maw was around its neck, thrashing wildly. The sentries turned around, wide eyed. They let out a loud warbling noise- which was pointless as most of the herd was already awake, shocked at the attack unfolding before them- and started off into the forest, not wanting to be picked off by other raptors hiding in the shrubs. With a hiss, Aircrest dragged the now dead Gallimimus into the growth, blood staining the sides of his snout. His kill made, he started to head back the way he came...

Selena nodded a greeting to the tan female. Alira was stretching, a series of cracks and pops sounding from her joints.

"Good morning, Selena" Hazel growled, looking to the allosaur and nodding a greeting to her as well. "Did Aircrest tell you anything about leaving so early...?" She asked, cocking her head at the female

Renegade thought, And what makes you think we have the means, nor the desire to, Fatalis?
He kept silent though, simply shifting, and looking away, into the trees surrounding them...

"No, he didn't," Selena admitted, Alira returning the nod.

"Strange" Hazel growled, looking to the sky as she thought of the possible reasons why he's gone. "He's probably off...taking some air, or decided to go take a walk while we were sleeping" She barked, looking back at Selena. "Aircrest's known for doing things like that...but you already know that, dont you?" She added with a smile

Selena smiled back nodding. "Indeed," she growled. She returned Blade's good morning, watching Alira flex her shoulders for a moment before standing herself. There were some kinks in her own muscles that needed to be worked out.
