Exile was in pain. She should have realised that such a swipe from a mighty predator as the Giga would have hurt. She looked up at the raptors around her. SharpClaw nudged her, pursuading her to stand. Obeying, she rised to her feet, but her right side ached. No visible cut, but she could feel that at least on of her ribs was broken. She stumbled around for as much as she was able, until she lay down again.

She was full of praise for Crusher. Inside, she knew that he would have won. But it was surely a loss for him. Even if he had another child, it wouldn't replace Chomper.

She cursed at her own foolishness. If only she had stayed back in the fight, with her pack. Her own curiosity had befallen upon her. Struggling to stand once again, she tried to walk and nearly stubbled if it hadn't been for SharpClaw pushing her back up. She growled her thank's and looked at everyone....

Exile was struggling and Sharpclaw was worried. She will have to have some help going back to the nest. She went next to the young raptor again and watched over her carefully. "We could help you back," she barked softly to Exile. "You need plenty of rest first though."

HG, for playing purposes, i think you should take over Scar and the pack until mega raptor gets back. i say you because you have more experience on what mega raptor would do in certain situations. when he gets back, he should highlight a member to take over in case he happens to get busy again.

Crusher looked at the staggering young Raptor, and growled "i'll help you and the pack to the nest. after that, i have some territory to take over...". the raptors nodded and Crusher led them to their cave, to make sure nothing attacked. after that, he and his family drank from a near by stream, and then went back to the nest. Crusher left and started to reclaim the territory, which the Spinos had eagerly taken over while the Giga was away. they seemed to like that area. as soon as the Giga left to fight him, the Spinos collected in the area, forming a protective group in the area, taking it over. Crusher, nearly completely fed and soon quenched of thirst, would likely make short work of them, since his rage hadn't been fully vented on the Giga....

ok

The raptors were settling down peacefully. Scar and Sharpclaw were watching over Exile with a careful eye.

"She would have to stay and rest," remarked Scar with a growl. "And we will have to bring food to her.

"I will do it," chimed Sharpclaw. To her, Exile was almost like a daughter to her.

Scar thought it over and nodded. "Very well. Now, we hunt."

By now the raptors were hungry. They went off to hunt while Sharpclaw stated behind with Exile. Exile could probably use a little company while Scar is gone off with the pack hunting.

Exile liked the way SharpClaw cared for her and was grateful for the company. She had never had much of a mother figure in life as her real mother died at an early age, victim to a Suchomimus.

Exile's side still hurt and it was still very painful to walk. She lay down most of the day, but exercised when she could. She was very grateful to be considered as a valuable assit to the pack. In her previous pack, raptors who were wounded to an extent of which she currently was, were swiftly killed. They gave no benefit to the pack, only hinderance.

After a while, the pack returned with a carcass of an adult Corythosaurus. Exile eyed in hungrily as the pack sank their teeth into the juicy looking prize. She stood momentarily, eager to taste the succulant meat. She edged slightly closer to it, each step a shot of pain running through her body. Moving until she could no more, she collapsed onto the ground, just close enough to take a bite. She dug in greedily. It wasn't much, but slowly, she was getting better...

Sharpclaw watched Exile carefully as she dug into the carcass of the Corythosaurus. Sharpclaw herself started to dig in hungrily. This meal was scrumptious and juicy like any other meal. Sharpclaw complimented Scar on the sucessful kill with a happy bark and continued consuming the meat that was hanging off of it.

After she was done, she continued to watch Exile some more. "How is your side doing?"

"It's still painful..." Exile growled "But it's getting better. I hate being cooped up in this cave all day and night too. And i would go out, if it wasn't for the pain."

Exile looked glumly to the floor. She still felt stupid for getting hit by the Giga in the first place. At lest she'd learnt a lesson though.

Sharpclaw glanced down at Exile with pity in her eyes. "At least you have some company though," she replied reassuringly. "A little more rest and exercize should do well though."

Meanwhile, Scar was being very wary and protective of the territory. He set up extra sentry raptors in case of there being another attack on the pack.

Crusher arrived at the deep river; The Spinos favourite place in Crusher's territory, and undoubtedly the first place they'd take over. he saw 2 Spinos eating, plucking ish out of the water and devouring them quickly. he noticed another Spino swimming in the water, it's sail exposed. he decided to let his anger do the talking. a booming roar, almost as loud as the ones he made when fighting the Giga, escaped his mouth, and made the Spinos jump. they weren't expecting him to have survived. he exposed himself, leaving the trees and looking at the Spinos right in the eye, a technique that intimidated animals more than any other. he growled "Leave my territory! NOW!". the 2 Spinos swiftly retreated, the massive fish they caught forgotten. they were terrified. what was that!!? a ghost?! or Crusher himself? these were questions running through the Spinos' minds. Crusher waited until the 3rd Spino's sail drifted in front of him, then bit and dragged it out of the water. he let go and growled "tell your friends they should leave my territory.". the Spino looked at him, and roared. Crusher growled "have it your way". he swiftly bit onto the Spino's arm, and thrashed until he had torn it off. he threw it away, then growled "Now, leave my territory and tell your friends to do the same, or you'll be hurt alot more next time i see you.". the Spino looked at him, fear setting in, and it scrambled to it's feet, a constant shower of blood coming from it's empty arm socket, and ran off. Crusher made a victory roar, as loud as the previous one, to let his family know he was successful, and to warn the other Suchos and Spinos that he was back, and angry...

Meanwhile, Hunter was doing a bit of exploring outside of the territory, to get to know the island as well as his father. he was now 45 feet long, 16 feet tall and weighed 7 tons, although he was only 9 years old. He was the size of a fully grown Tyrannosaur, but had some more growing before he would reach his full size. he was walking on the northern part of the island, near the cliffside, when he heard a roar. it was another Tyrannosaur. a female. lets see what's going on... thought Hunter as he headed toward the source of the sound. it sounded like a fight. he then heard another sound...a Saurophaganax. he walked until he could see the fight, and saw something that made him melt. the female Tyrannosaur was slightly smaller than he was, and was unscratched, short of a single wound on her neck, shaped like a sickle. she was fighting a Sauro that was his size. he walked out, and roared. the fight halted, and the Sauro looked at him, and roared back. it was a challenge. Hunter stood his ground, and looked the Sauro right in the eye, a technique his father had taught him on one of the fighting lessons. The Sauro backed off slightly, then roared again. Hunter made a thrashing display as he roared, which looked to the Sauro as if he were crazy. It charged, and Hunter dodged, and the Sauro rammed straight into a tree. it was slightly dazed. not much, but enough to give Hunter time to pound it on the back a couple of times. it swung it's head into him, and he was dizzied. he roared at it, and it tried to bite him. he caught it's head just as it was going for his neck, his young flexible skeleton allowing him to bend in a way his father couldn't. he dragged it by the head, the subduing effect similar to that of a cat with the skin of it's neck being held. he led it to the female, and grunted for her to finish it.he held the head high and the female bit it on the neck, and crushed it. she growled in thanks, and Hunter nodded in response. he then bent down and started eating. she joined in soon after......

Exile was really improving. The first few days of her being injured were terrible, but all the raptors had helped her get through it. She could now walk without much pain, but running was still a no-go. It was annoying that she couldn't join in with any of the raptor hunts, but she didn't complain. She knew full well that she'd only get in the way. With the state she was in, she wasn't much use.

She'd decided that today, she would venture out on a walk. She knew that if Scar and SharpClaw knew, they would send a sentry out with her. But she didn't want someone overshadowing her all the time. She pursuaded all the raptors to go on a hunt and took her chance to stretch her legs.

Disapperaing into the undergrowth, she decided to pay Crusher a visit. She hadn't seen him since his battle with the Giga...

Crusher returned to the nest after chasing another 2 Spinos and a Sucho out of his territory. he was about to rest when he saw Exile show up on the edge of the nest. he growled "Exile. i see your healthier. what brings you here?"

Meanwhile, Hunter had slept after eating, and, to his surprise, so did the female Rex, which he found out was named Lightning, since she was much faster than normal Tyrannosaurs. when he woke up, he thought "i guess this is what they call a mate. she's with me now......like mom and dad...cool". later she woke up, and Hunter pursueded her to come with him to his family, just to let them know why he was gone.....

The raptors were busy on another hunt, but Sharpclaw couldn't stop thinking about Exile. Scar told her to shake it off her mind and that Exile will be fine, so she listened to his orders. Now they had to focus on getting a sucessful kill. The pack got into position to get an old anatotitan. They were focused on the big male grazing a little far off with another elderly male.

Scar was focused on the kill and he made sure that the other raptors were too. He growled quietly at two noisy juveniles who were barking quietly with excitement. Once they got Scar's message, they quieted down and began to focus on their soon-to-be meal.

The hunt began when four raptors came out of the busch to chase the herd of other anatotitans away. They were nipping at their heals and jumping up, nearing to the neck. These raptors were the old, experienced ones of the pack. They new well what to do.

Next, the adults came out and ran toward the two elderly anatotitans. They were careful and hissed at the one that was trying to defend his herd member. Both males looked like they could be good meals, but the one behind the defending anatotitan had more meat to offer.

Amoung the adults were Sharpclaw and Rawhide, her mate. They sneaked around to get at the target anatotitan while the other one was distracted by the other pack raptors.

Then finally, when the target prey started to get cornered and overwhelmed by the raptors, the juveniles, Scar, and the old raptors joined them to help bring him down. This anatotitan was a little tough to bring down, but eventually, it was down. Scar, his mate, and a juvenile grabbed on to the neck and used their claw to give it a killing blow, cutting down to the eusophogus of the creature. It fell down with a wail.

The pack barked in victory and started to eat the well meated meal.

Exile peered up at the mighty Crusher. "I'm just sick of spending so much time in the cave. So i decided to get exercise, but i knew that i would be an easy target for a predator" She shook slightly with fear "So, i decided to see what has happened with you after your battle with the Giga."

She looked him up and down. No visable signs of his battle. Most of the scars had already healed.

Crusher growled "well, i have regained a 3rd of my territory in the last few days. i am going to take over the rest tommorow. i was going to take it over today, but i'm tired, and need some rest. i am also planning to show Hunter the..." Crusher stopped in mid sentence when he picked up the scent of an unknown Tyrannosaur. mixed with it was the scent of Crusher. it was the mating season for the young Tyrannosaurs, so Hunter had probably foubd a mate. he got up, and growled "stay here.", making sure that Rampage was watching over Fury and Exile. Fury managed to sneak after Crusher and watched. Crusher arrived on the edge of the plains, where Hunter was walking side by side with another Tyrannosaur. the scent told him it was a female. he growled in greeting, and revealed himself. the female looked like she had seen a ghost, and wouldv'e run if she didn't think that her new mate knew they were safe. Hunter growled "this is my mate, Lightning.". Crusher growled "ah, lightning. welcome. i see your Hunter's mate, the way your walking with him. your welcome in my territory for as long as you like.". the fearful female nodded, and Crusher growled "don't fear me. i wouldn't hurt a single scale on you, unless you hurt my family.". she seemed to relax a bit, knowing she was safe. Hunter growled "i'm planning to find a place for a nest to the north, away from the Suchos and Spinos.". Crusher growled "yes. that would be the best choice. don't rush it though. explore the island, then choose.". Fury hopped out, and growled "hello! looks like Hunter finally found a mate.". Hunter growled "well, i don't see anyone by your side, Fury.". that silenced him, and the 4 rexes made their way back to the nest. Crusher noticed Exile was watching them....

After the raptors were done feasting on the anatotitan, Scar lead the pack back to the cave. The raptors were grateful to be back home again, but Sharpclaw looked around and saw that Exile wasn't here. She started to worry and glanced at Scar for some answers.

"Let's go after her," he growled. He sniffed the air and caught her scent. The two raptors started to follow the scent...

Crusher looked at the female Rex, and noticed her teeth were bared at Exile. Crusher growled "she's a friend, Lightning. her and her pack have been friends of ours for a long time. they won't harm you, so don't harm them.". Lightning looked at him, then nodded. Rampage growled "and who is this?". Lightning kept quiet, not wanting to show a lack of respect. Hunter growled "this is Lightning, my mate.". Rampage nodded with a slight reptilian smile on her face. Crusher looked at a dead Para in the middle of the nest, then sniffed the air. he smelled Scar and SharpClaw. He growled "Scar and SharpClaw are coming.". he then saw Hunter get down to rest, and Lightning did as well. following suit, Rampage and Fury did as well. Crusher stayed standing, in case something happened that they didn't expect.....

Scar froze and sniffed the air again. He smelled a mixture of smells. There was the usual smell of Crusher's family, followed by the smell of a raptor and an unfamiliar rex. "Let's head to Crusher's nest," he growled. "I smell her. She's close."

Sharpclaw also sniffed the air and nodded. She kept walking close to Scar. They were getting nearer to Crusher's nest. The smell of the unfamiliar rex was getting stronger. Sharpclaw felt worried about this new scent. What if it was an enemy?

They finally reached their destination. Scar greeted Crusher with a friendly hello while Sharpclaw went to Exile's side with a look of concern on her face. "We were worried about you, Exile," stated the female raptor. Then, she looked up at the female rex with a look of wariness in her eyes. She backed away a little and glanced at Crusher. "Who's this?"

Scar was also looking at the new rex with some suspision in his eyes, but he noticed that Crusher was calm about the new rex being here. If Crusher was ok with her, then that means that this rex must mean no harm.

Crusher growled "this is Hunter's mate, Lightning. He apparently helped her with a Sauro that was trying to kill her to get the Anatotitan she had killed. Hunter got in and took care of it for her...". he looked at the 2 young adult rexes, who were so close to each other that it was impossible for an ant to get between them. he then looked at the raptors again, to see whether they had anything else to say...

Exile barked an apology to SharpClaw. She explained that she had just wanted some exercise, but knew that if the rest of the pack knew, they would send a sentry.
SharpClaw growled in acknowledgement and Exile peered at the new Rex, Lightening. She felt an unfamiliar lurch in her stomach, and was puzzled as to what it was. She was watching Lightening and Hunter pressed together so close, nuzzling eachother....
She shook her head and looked away. What was that feeling? She turned back to the pack, but felt the pain in her side beginning to hurt once more. She lay down on the floor...

Scar and Sharpclaw watched the two rexes. It was beautiful. Hunter and Lightning looked like they shared a special bond that nobody else could ever break. This made Sharpclaw think about her mate, Rawhide and made Scar think about his beloved mate. Sharpclaw spoke to Hunter and Lightning. "I wish you two many happy years together." Then she turned to Exile, who started to lay on the ground.

"Exile, want to have a little rest before we get back?", asked Scar to the young raptor. He wasn't sure if she could make the journey back home.
