Godzilla UNLEASHED

Video game reviews and discussion.

Postby TyrannoTitan » Thu Jun 21, 2007 2:43 am

Now, our whole planning must be changed....

Biollantte's Surge Attacks: Acid Spray, Tendril Choke, Absorb Essence.

Zilla's Surge Attacks: EarthQuake, Magma Breath, Maul.

Battra's Surge Attacks: Pulse, Beam Quake, Frenzy

Mecha Godzilla '79's Surge Attacks: All Out Strike, Flying Drop, Chest Cannon.

Gigan's Surge Attacks: Cluster Bomb, *Buzzsaw Blitz, Chain Cut.

* The name is from an old Godzilla game.

Thats my wishlist.

I wonder if it'll come out for other platforms, since the first two were for Xbox, so this one might be for Xbox 360 and Wii. (And PSP)

Nope. They said they made the controls ESPECIALLY for the Wii. They redesigned the PSP and DS Versions (they aren't as good).

So, GET A WII!

Tisk Tisk....

Ya, and the buildings actually catch on fire if you shoot them with the beam weapons and such! Even Anguris's Sonic Roar catches them on fire!

Its awesome! I always thought it was stupid how in the movies, a non-charged beam could destroy a building in one hit, and in STE it took 5 hits with a full blast beam to destroy them! I'm glad they are easy to destroy now.

I can't WAIT to see Ghidorah in action! He's in the video, cept you can't see him (You hear his "cackle" when he's fighting Kiryu).

Gigan looks so AWESOME!!! He also fights AWESOME...ly!!!

I have to say, Megalon looks better then all of them in Critical Mass (He turns black, and his wings glow! He is 10000x cooler in Critical Mass).

I Actually thought one of the planes in the trailer was one of Battra's "fly bys". Thank god it wasn't!

After what I heard in the aritcle, there is a HUGE chance Battra will be featured. They said that you need to break patches of crystals to get powerups, and they named the powerups: Health and Energy. NOTHING about airstrikes. So, theres a good chance he will be included.

Nope. You have to destroy buildings, destroy crystals, or stand by huge crystals to charge the Critical Mass meter (its a power level. As the meter grows, you become more powerful. Then, you reach critical mass, which is the monster literally exploding with power. You can even charge the meter while in Critical Mass mode, to STAY in that mode). So ya, you have a choice. Become corrupt with power and go into Critical Mass, avoid ever going into that mode and gain allies, or get power, but avoid Critical Mass.

Oh, and Critical Mass isn't all good. Your defense goes down, you loose faction points with peaceful factions, power-hungry monsters will attack you to become more powerful, and you are drained of energy when you leave that state.

You can also use Critical Mass as a weapon. Suppose you are Godzilla fighting Gigan. You make Gigan destroy a few Crystals and go into Critical Mass. You leave the fight (I think you can run if you wish). Gigan will be attacked by ALOT more monsters now that he has gone into Critical Mass. He will even be attacked by his own faction!

if i were to play as godzilla, iw ould beat the crap out of the aliens. if you do something like destroy gigan or king ghidorah, the aliens won't like you. the global defense force will, though.

It seems to be a much more flexible way to play.
