easily solved. try and advance bunker-buster technology to allow it to go deeper, and give it a space-capable form and a nuclear warhead. problem solved. the blast would blow it into hundreds of smaller pieces. and provided we have lesser ground-to-space missiles that can be used to destroy the remaining chunks [IF the chunks are too large to be burned up in the atmosphere naturally], we shouldn't have a problem. and if outright destruction isn't possible, surface impact missiles to deflect them would do the job equally well. only issue we have to worry about is the distribution of silos equipped with this sort of weaponry across the globe in order to save on fuel consumption for the missiles. lasers and beam technology are currently far too inefficient to be effective.

Well, I hope N.A.S.A is right about the 149 kilometer long meteors they are currently monitoring DON'T hit us within a 100 years or so. By then we should have said super lasers and we'll be blowing up everything in our path for a galactic domination! Steal all the inferior planets out of our atmosphere! Uh, anyways... we may have super lasers within maybe 20 or so years, considering we already have a "Star Wars Aerial Laser Defence System" and are blowing enemy planes out of the sky as we speak...

Yes, it does. But it seems the more weathly and powerful countries consider it theirs. I for one say one's land doesn't belong to another, more powerful being on this planet... Anywho, I've been spending lots of time with my crew of friends after this football season, and some of the team has joined with us all. Seems like this'll be a great school year with so much friends and so little bullies, unlike the years before...
