The wolf-like Huergahs hadn't left the scene just yet: two sat, covered behind bushes as they waited for another moment to strike at the unicorn. The other had decided to return and tell of the failure, but would come back later on to help bring down the horned animal...

"Arashi...ok then, Arashi." The unicorn noticed that his body felt a little better, stronger, lighter. He figured that it was the dragon's doing. He became more amazed at the dragon's power. I am grateful that he has found me, the unicorn thought as he walked toward the stream, now being more sensitive to the sounds of the forest. He was also grateful that the dragon was following him toward the stream. Revion figured that creatures would be to come near the great beast. "I continue to become fascinated by your power," commented the stallion.

Draco goes into the deepest levels of the dungeon. Before him was a great, powerful drake, muscles muldging under its green skin, hideous teeth overlapping his lower jaw. His pale yellows eyes gleamed at Draco, before he let out a low, submissive hiss. The drake was chained to a wall, before Draco pets the beast on the nose. "Ah, Formidonis.... forgive me for not seeing you in so long.... time had escaped me." The drake nods in forgiveness. "You will be fed tomorrow. There are some prisoners that need disposing of." The drake seems to liven up a bit. Draco gives him a pat on the nose. "I knew that'd make you happy. See you later." Draco heads back up.....

"Power brings with it responsibility, unfortunately. Until recently, I was the leader of a Clan of my kind...the clan whose name and symbol adorn my head" rumbled the Dragon as he turned to face the unicorn, revealing the symbol on his forehead, spreading outwards all across it, two 'arms' of it extending down over his eyes. The dragon crouched, closing his eyes, needing some peace to consider his next actions. "Once you've had your drink, call out to your friend. Just because i scared them off this time around doesn't mean they won't come back for you. At least if she's with you you'll have a better chance at escape"...

The two that remained slowly prowl in different directions through the foilage, following the dragon and the wounded unicorn. If they were lucky and the large beast that saved the horned animal the first time left, they'd be able to catch a suitable meal for their pack. They'd have more to supply food to their bretheren if the one they were hunting wasn't alone and there was another of it's kind with it somewhere nearby...

Revion observed the symbol on the dragon. He then nodded at the dragon's words, without saying a word, and called to his companion, Serenity, admitting a loud whinny. He hoped that she would hear his call.

Serenity perked her ears at the sound of the distant whinny. Without question, she started to gallop in the direction of the whinny. It sounded familiar. It sounded like...Revion! She skidded to a halt when she at last spotted the unicorn and the dragon. She looked at the dragon warily, before greeting her friend, amazed that he was alive.

Revion at once thanked Arashi for his great and turned to Serenity. "We must leave this place, now," he said. Serenity agreed without question, but before leaving, she touched her horn to his wounded leg. The horn started to glow, as well as the wound, and it slowly started to heal. Revion found a little strength in his leg once more. At once, the unicorns started to gallop away from the place.

The two wolf-like Huergahs that stayed behind while they're new leader went home took chase, but kept some distance from the two unicorns in the vegetation. One silently snarled as it tore through the deep part of the foilage it hid in like it's companion, the two making sure they didn't lose sight of the horned animals making their escape...

The following morning, Septimus began to descend. The borders of Lustria were far behind them, and before him was a long, winding river, a waterfall just beyond his target spot. the Dragon hovered to a stop, landing lightly as he craned his neck, looking at Tetto'eko. "We're here, Tetto" he growled as he crouched. no doubt the skink would be feeling cold. the Dragon's scales protected him from the cold, but the air at the altitude he was flying at was chilly at best. most people would be shivering with cold when exposed to those temperatures for that long. he hoped the skink was ok...

Tetto'eko appeared to have fallen asleep, his cloak wrapped tightly around his body, shielding him partially from the cold. At best, it would have put him in a stupor, but he was actually meditating, taking the time to focus and gather his energy, just in case he needed to use his magic for whatever reason. At the sound of Septimus' voice, one of his yellow eyes flicked open, before he finally awoke completely, stretching his arms above his head. "Ah, these bones aren't what they used to be," he chirped. "Where are we, exactly?"

Ikargu soon awoke in his cave, letting out a low, somewhat deep yawn before folding his wing and uncurling his tail for Sarah to get up.

Hraesvelgr was already wide awake by the time the sun rose, going outside to check up on Khorne at that moment to be sure he was ok...

"We've headed North East from Lustria. It is long behind us. Time to gather some food. Can i trust you to watch yourself while i catch some fish?" rumbled Septimus...

Andruil stirred under the piece of cloth he covered himself in, to the sound of Shiryaz' calls. the bird was perched on a wooden beam a distance away, and the skeleton of a small deer fawn was right beneath the large bird. it was obvious the bird had been there for hours. "What do you have for me, Shiryaz?" inquired Andruil, reaching an arm forward. the bird dove from the broken beam and landed on his arm, Andruil reaching for the pouch tied to the bird's leg and taking the note within, reading it.

Brother,

I have received your message. My troops are mobilising as we speak. by daybreak a small platoon of 10 men will arrive at the village you informed me of, with supplies to help you and your friends rebuild. I will muster all the nations I can to counter this threat. Have your friends do the same, if possible.

Signed,
your brother Alexander

Andruil sighed in relief. this was what he had prayed all night for. this was salvation, for him, his friends...and possibly many of Aster's inhabitants. the Knight rose to his feet, petting Shiryaz over the head, between the feathered ear/horns, before walking towards Arsenic and Vix to inform them of the good news...

"Of course," Tetto'eko replied, sliding stiffly off of Septimus' back. "I am quite capable of defending myself against any bandits or other malcontents that come across us."

Revion and Serenity have traveled far. They hadn't bothered to rest, for fear of the beasts. By now it seemed that they were still a few miles from the edge of the forest. Little by little, the trees and foliage seemed to become a little more scarce than before. They were very tired, and thirsty for water. Both unicorns decided that it was safe to rest, for now.

Serenity watched Revion as he ate the morning grass. At least there was some moisture in the grass. She grew curious of the dragon he was with the previous night. "So who was that dragon friend of yours," she inquired.

"He was the one that helped me out," Revion answered between his nibbling. He lifted his head and decided it was time to explain what happened. "He is a very powerful dragon...he killed the leader and injured most of the pack. Without him, I doubt I would be alive and well right now." He glanced over at his leg. The wound was healing up nicely, and he could feel strength returning to it. "He also helped me see things a bit in a different light. I did learn a bit from him, and you especially. I should listen to you more, I guess." He snorted and managed to chuckle.

Serenity rolled her eyes. "Yes, you should. I can not believe you almost got killed out there! I hope you learned from this lesson?"

The black stallion nodded. "Yes I have...now, you go eat and I'll keep watch."

Without saying another word, Serenity ate from the fresh grass. Revion kept a watchful eye out.

The two Huergahs from the night before weren't far from the two unicorns, and were preparing to attack at that moment. They saw they already had another opened opportunity to bring something back to the rest of their pack, and slowly neared the horned animals through the partially thick foilage, that seemed to disappear a bit the further they followed the two creatures...

Revion sniffed the air. He felt a little uneasy, and sidestepped a little. He did not feel safe being here for too long. They had to keep moving, if they were going to get out of the forest. They had to go somewhere with less vegetation. "Serenity, finish up, quickly...we have to continue on." At once, he started to canter further, without waiting for the filly.

Serenity started after Revion, confused by his sudden change of attitude. Without saying a word, she followed after him, but this time, in a gallop. She managed to run past Revion and smirked. "Let us race!"

Revion smiled, for once. "Ok, he picked up his pace to a gallop, accepting the filly's challenge.

The two Huerahs sprang into action suddenly, one chasing down the larger, injured unicorn in the group, while the other dashed after the smaller filly. They'd be able to catch both if possible, and were prepared already for the attack, but hadn't expected the horned animals to try and leave so early on...

Kuran's head snapped up when he heard a distant struggle.
He felt vulnerable out in the morning light, and began to crawl into the shady treetops, and prepare for the morning hunt.

Revion was glad that Serenity healed his leg the night before they left the dragon. It still pained him a little, but at least he could run. Suddenly, he looked behind him and noticed the beasts chasing after them once again. He at once whinnied to the filly, warning her. "Serenity, run as fast as you can and don't look back...they're here!" The ebony coloured unicorn tried to pick up his speed, now panicking that the damned creatures were back. He thought they would give up after the fight with the dragon.

Serenity listened to what Revion said, and also tried to pick up her pace. She was worried, and determined to escape from the creatures. "Damned things," she whinnied angrily.

The lighter and smaller one persued the larger unicorn, snapping it's jaws near the animal's injured leg, trying to bite down on his flesh and bring him down. The other was having more difficultly catching the other horned animal, moving as fast as it could...

Revion snorted as the beast snapped as his leg. He bucked, putting a lot of force behind the kick, aiming for the mouth. He figured that such a kick would injure the creature, and give him the advantage of either running further away from it, or attacking it. His hooves could be powerful weapons, when put into use.

Serenity was glad that speed was to her advantage. She took a glance back to see how Revion was doing, and saw him buck out at the creature. That's it, use your strength, she thought as she continued running.
