Until a few minutes ago i had the feeling he wanted to eat me too" answered Andruil with a shrug. glancing towards the direction they were initially heading, and glancing up at the steadily darkening early afternoon sky, the blue canvas above Aster having turned a bright golden colour, wispy clouds barely visible amidst the forest's steadily thickening canopy. "I believe it's time we continued moving. There are places we need to be" said Andruil as he eyed Vix and Arsenic...

Arsenic fixed a piercing silver gaze on the pseudodragon, then looked at Andruil. Can we afford to? he asked mentally, raising one eyebrow.

Andruil looked at Arsenic, wanting his opinion before deciding. with Vix in such bad condition he wouldn't ask her. they needed to get to the river soon...

Arsenic looked back at the pseudodragon, then at Andruil and said slowly, We can't afford to be slowed down any more...Vix needs to rest...and I don't think we want to be trekking through the woods in the dark.

Andruil nodded. "Anything with the intelligence to communicate also has the intelligence to lie. How can you prove you aren't lying to us?" he said as he moved towards Furax, lifting Vix onto him and placing her on the saddle. at the very least that way she wasn't forced to stand....

You're not in pain? he asked. Vix shook her head. No...I just feel really weak....and like I could sleep for days. The red-haired elf smiled at her. You'll be able to rest soon. I promise.

The Psuedodragon, apparently oblivious to the mental probing, flicked his gaze between Arsenic and Andruil nervously. However, it was obvious that the little dragon wasn't lying...
