Kiara nodded while breathing heavily, her eyes scanning around the room for some time...

Kiara walked ahead, wiping a bit of blood from her mouth as she moved on, but let Immanis take the lead...

Andruil turned after a few minutes of them walking, realising ther was a fair amount of noise being made a distance away from them. in the time they had walked he noticed the sound didn't get any quieter, and it was too far away to be any of the group. as if picking up on his suspicions, Shiryaz leapt from the Half-Elf, taking to the air, weaving between the trees, landing on a high branch above the Were-seal, looking down, monitoring the creature from above...

Septimus forcefully broke contact with the being, suddenly beating his wings powerfully, rocketing himself and his passenger several hundred feet vertically, suddenly swerving downwards, throwing the being off his back, catching Desrium in his claws, gazing him in the eye with his own, the sapphire orbs burning a bright cyan, charged with magical energy. "What did you just try to do to me?" snarled the Dragon...

"I was holding on like you told me to, Septimus" Was Desrium's response, his voice showing no sign of fear or surprise. His eternal crimson glare peered into the dragon's electric blue eyes, unchanging. He fell silent after saying that, not struggling against the scholar's grip. "What is this feeling?" Desrium wondered as he looked into the drake's intense gaze. It was not fear or sadness nor pain. What was it? "Anger" The being realized after a red flash from his gaze...

As Dione was about to push the door open to let herself out of the Sanctuary, the door swung open right into her face, sending her onto her back. She groaned, her vision momentarily blurred from the impact. Before she could try to get up, a pair of powerful hands yanked her onto her feet. A blind was pulled over her head, preventing her from seeing, and her hands were tied behind her back by what felt like rope.

"What's going on?!" Dione stammered as she felt herself being yanked down the stairs. There was no response, only the sounds of heavy breathing and feet hurrying down the stairs. Her mind was in a blur of confusion and chaos, trying to fit together just what was happening...

Kiara marched through the door, arms down to the floor and hung, moving a bit wildly around. The demoness continued on before leaning against the nearest wall...

Riva crouched down behind a tree once the group stopped. She had the fleeting suspicion that they she was following behind them. She huddled close to the trunk and watched carefully. When the bird perched on a branch above her head, Riva waved one hand frantically. "Go on, shoo!" she hissed. "Get away!"

"Do you really take me for a fool, Desrium? Do you honestly think that feigning ignorance would work on me?" hissed the Dragon, lips curled into a snarl, over two dozen thick, serrated fangs visible in his jaws, the edges of something large and black folded into the jaw around the outside edge of the upper jaw, all but hidden from view...

The falcon leapt from the branch, fluttering across overhead, landing on another one, somewhat closer to the ground, just out of reach. a high pitched whistle came from up ahead, Andruil calling the bird to find out where it was. the Falcon twittered and chirped in response, before turning it's gaze back down on the girl...

"I have nothing to feign, my...friend" Desrium said, looking Septimus in the eye, still uncomfortable with saying the word 'friend'. "May I ask just what has...upsetted you?" He asked, his eyes flashing as he searched for the right thing to say.

Septimus' eyes narrowed on the being, sceptical. "You mean to tell me your mind is full of whispers and voices and SCREAMS, that attack anything that tries to speak to you telepathically, and you're completely oblivious to it?" rumbled the Dragon, irises taking on a shade of blue-white so dazzling they could be mistaken for snow were they not in the eyesockets of a dragon...

"...Perhaps?" Desrium replied, his voice unchanging despite his confusion. "Just another question..." He thought as he looked away from Septimus' blazing eyes, to the expanse of green below. With one new sight, came just another perplexing mystery about himself. He felt an emptiness as he was looked down upon by the scholar's scrutinizing gaze; had he just lost the trust of one of the few kind beings he's come in contact with?

Septimus' mind whirred behind his icy gaze, working to try and find signs of a lie in the armoured being's words. In his lifetime he had become highly skilled at reading people's intentions. but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find even a trace of ill intent in the being's words. sighing, he growled "You will need to tell me your past. soon". that was the only way he could know for sure. he needed to hear more to decide...

Desrium remained silent at that, knowing that he couldnt give the dragon answers, even if he wanted to. He just kept staring down at the forest below, thinking about how not too long ago, he was wandering aimlessly underneath the cover of leaves. He had just gotten to know how fast things could change in a simple day...

'What is it?' Arsenic asked, already reaching out mentally in the direction the falcon had gone. In the same instant, he caught the beginnings of a reaction in Vix. Something more animal than human had stirred in her mind, along with the instinctive thoughts, protect them. sniff - smell what it is. Sharp, surprised yellow eyes searched Vix's face intently. Did she even realize her reaction? And did it have anything to do with her transformation?

Tetto'eko peered curiously at where the eagle had gone, but said nothing. It wasn't his place to interfere with... whatever was going on...

"We have company. Not a threat though" said Andruil with a smirk, eyeing the dull gold and silver runes decorating his blade, not a trace of a glow on it. he had picked up the scent of the creature, finding it to be a strange mix of the sea, and a person. elemental? no. too distinctly human. a Fisherman? no. Firstly, it wasn't a man. a woman. a girl, to be precise. probably not even as old as the youngest in the group. secondly, it was too well blended with the sea to be separate from it, as would be the case with even the most seasoned of fishers. perhaps a Were of some kind? yes....that would make sense...

Septimus raised Desrium up, setting him on his back, telekinetically helping him up the rest of the way. almost simultaneously, Desrium was disarmed, the weapons slipping into the Dragon's satchels as he began to descend towards the river, claws outstretched in preparation for the catch...

Desrium shifted into the position he was before, his back feeling strangely bare without his sword in its sheath. "Does he honestly think that I would use my blade against him?" Desrium thought, the notion completely absurd. Nevertheless, Desrium secured his grip as he felt Septimus' speed increase, the air forcing its way past him. He grappled the dragon with hands like a vice and pressed himself down, the resistance of the wind dying down the motion. his bag and compass trailed off behind him as Septimus rushed down towards the wate, caught by the rush of the wind.

Riva had no idea about what to do about the bird, but when in doubt, make yourself smaller. She did just so, she scrunched into a ball and hid behind the tree a little more expertly. It seemed to work for other creatures of the sea and what else could she do, the selkie way would have been stand and fight or run away and she didn't want to do either.
