*The three of us enter the elevator one after the other, the Lili curving her tail so as not to take up so much room.*
So... how exactly are we going to be stealthy about this?
Sy, in a low voice: Of course, Rhojis couldn't have picked a friendlier Compy...
*Takes another slow step forward and is met by another savage snarl.*
Sy: Uh, I'm not sure what to call you. Compy? I know you're probably confused, but know that I'm not going to hurt you...
*She continues advancing carefully, now barely ten feet from the creature.*
Sy: All I have to do is put this little thing on your head... It won't-
*Quite suddenly the Aerosaur lets out a sharp, spitting hiss and lunges so fast the raptor barely has time to react, just managing to dodge a hit from its jaws, which snap shut mere inches from her arm. She dives to the side, hitting the ground and rolling to her feet, and just as she turns to face the Aerosaur again, the end of its finned tail connects squarely with her head, the force enough to knock a normal raptor clean out, even making the enhanced saurian stagger into the force field, the whole side of her face covered in a silvery metallic sheen like molten Mercury as her mechanical substructure recovers from the blow. She lets out a hiss and backs away from the field, spinning around to find the techno-organic creature standing motionless, 'watching' her.*
Sy: Have to admit, you'll be a good warrior...
Hurricane: Need help now Sy?
Sy: No, I'm fine thanks Hurricane. I was testing it... now as for you, test passed...
*Without warning, Sy makes a sudden motion as if to run, and the Aero lunges again. This time however, Sy leaps straight up as it tries to snap at her, turning in mid air and coming down on the back of its neck, latching her claws into its skin, though not deep enough to do damage. It screeches piercingly and rears up, trying to buck her off. Attempting to hold on with three limbs, Sy stretches forward and slaps her free hand down on the back of its skull, the device immediately recognizing a new neural network and flashing red, starting to integrate itself and override certain neurons. As the creature falls back to all fours, Sy jumps off, landing hard and rolling to bleed off momentum, lifting her head to watch as the Aerosaur writhes and shakes its pointed head, trying to dislodge the device. However, its motions become increasingly sluggish and it soon stops struggling altogether as the flashing red light finally turns solid. Sy pushes herself up and once again approaches it, the Aero showing no sign of aggression this time.*
Sy: Aerosaur- no, you need a better name... What was your plane half called? I know. You will respond to the name Skyhawk. Do you understand?
*Staring sightlessly at her, the Aero slowly but unmistakably gives the raptor a single nod.*
