"War machines. Designed to fight the mutants." Talon explained bluntly, frowning.

"...I guess some tax payers' dollars went to a good cause" Was Jackson's reply, the man raising an eyebrow. "So what happened? These things could be invaluable for the future of mankind! Are there any other people here?" He asked, his drowsiness completely absent from his voice. Here he was, in a facillity where only a window seperated him from mechanical warriors that could be the key to destroying the monster plague. The shell around the man cracked instantly at the realization, releasing an aura of optimism and determination...

Anguirus, finally tired after a long day of, well, doing nothing, curled up in his makeshift ditch and closed his eyes, only his hard, spiny shell poking up from the ground...

"You're right, but no, its just me here." Talon said with a shake of his head. Then he smiled. "Though I like to think I've done my part for humanity."

The gatherer Kryll soon return to their hive, dropping the majority of the food collected into the nursery for the young kryll to feed, while the rest is stored deep within the catacombs of the fortress-esque hive...

Kori Kahn soon rises from the snow, shaking his whole body to clean himself off. He looks down at the bloodied bones of his kill before he spreads his wings. With two powerful beats of his pinions, Kori Kahn was airborne. Turning to the west, he began to soar across the icy landscape, deciding to explore a bit more....

"I kill people." Talon said as he turned to look at Jackson, his face deadly serious. He then burst out laughing. "...But no really, I hunt the mutants, using these machines. I've come to know a lot of the mechs really well, and quite a few are operational."

"Holy ****" Jackson said. It was unclear if it was directed at the man's joke or what he had said about the mechs. Regardless, Jackson's brow lowered and his eyes were ignited with new spirit...or the flickering of the television. Ever since humanity fell, he had been vying for a way to get back at the tianus oppressors. Did his chance finally come? "Can I see them?" He asked as he looked back out of the window.

"Right this way." Talon responded, walking toward one of the doors leading out into the mech bay, specifically one that led to the catwalks...

Jackson followed suit, his tattered cloak wafting behind him as he started after the man with haste. "Oh damn. A few months after the apocalypse and Ive forgotten my manners" He said as he fell into step beside the stranger. "My name's Jackson. Jackson Stritch. Yours?"

"My friends call me Talon." the man replied sarcastically, considering there was no one else there. They made their way onto the catwalks that ran some feet above the floor of the mech bay, nearing the location of REX...

"Talon huh. Hmm...I should get me a name like that. Claw...Claw..scratch-" Jackson replied, looking thoughtfully ahead as contemplated his name. At the realization of the battle machine's true scale, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened. It was gigantic and alien looking. He hardly believed that this was the product of mankind's labor, yet it was. The defense against the monster threat that was never properly dispatched. Oh, what could have been...

The Sentinel slowed as he drifted into the exosphere, far above the satellites orbiting the earth, floating in high orbit around the planet. his investigations had yielded footage of Spinnerax's fight with King Ghidorah, culminating in a viciously bright flash and what seemed to be the mutilation of the Dragon, Spinnerax disappearing swiftly afterwards. good. another threat had been eliminated. Now he would have to track down the wasp..he needed to know more about his would-be partner...

"Subject 154 has been disabled. Orders?" asked the Coordinator at DHARMA's HQ. "Recover the body. Have the Phoenix Nest prepare for whatever they acquire from it. Perhaps there's some use to be had in it yet" responded the Station Commander, the Coordinator nodding before proceeding to deliver the order, a very small part of the DHARMA GlobaComm Network having been recovered, allowing a minimal amount of communication between DHARMA's lesser facilities. A number of cells made up of the numerous DHARMA facilities had sprung up, each trying to reorganise, ignorant to the other cells. Horus had seen to it that they wouldn't be able to remobilise for months...giving him ample time to clean up the earth and then hunt them down...

Anguirus continued to slumber, his legs tucked underneath his spiny shell, his spike-covered tail wrapped around the left side of his body. The monster's horned head rested on the edge of the ditch, eyes closed, snorting occasionally as he slept...

Raptoran soon spotted, far in the distance, a particularly large island. Curious as to what could be living there, the monster swam towards Hawaii, eager to feed...

As Blight looked up, he noticed that the spider... was falling down right toward him! The dragon leapt back just in time to avoid the deadly spear-like legs of Kumongua, the landing having caused a large dust cloud to rise up on Cannonbeach. "Normally, Dragon isn't on my menu, but I'll make you an exception..." The spider gurgled as it turned around to face Blight, each spear-like leg impaling the ground at it turned. Smoke began to blow out of Blight's nostrils as he realized he was in for a fight. At last! This would be the first creature to fall before his might! This would be the first step in paving the way for his species!

At once, both monsters charged at each other...

Infernus began to stir a little bit, shaking his head and groaning in pain. Getting shakily it his feet, Infernus lumbers back towards Krakatoa to heal a bit and feed off the thermal energy there....

Kori Kahn flew high up in the sky, soon passing across the great lakes. Such majesty, the icy dragon thought. I have never seen such beauty in all my years. He lets out a long, announcing cry, not to project dominence, but joy, before he continues on his way, on a direct course with Manhattan...

The wasp's visor lit up after the cyborg had finished calculations about the space craft's origin. Compensating for the vessel's size, the wasp was able to determine that the energy output from the warp was the culmination of an intergalactic jump. Due to the immense distance the craft had crossed, it would take an extremely long time for those who sent it to even know it had been destroyed- assuming it managed to send a signal out before the attack that crippled and ultimately ended it. With the possibility of a near future attack on the planet ruled out, Spinnerax resumed his vigil on the world below, peering down on the cities that passed as he floated by.

Horus floated silently above the planet, his wings spread wide, streaks of golden energy running along the taut membranes, the Dragon monitoring the planet for threats. his HUD was covered in various small windows, each displaying a different event across the planet, some showing footage of monsters, the older ones being, to his simultaneous irritation and amusement, animated scenes of a time where giant beasts were a figment of mankind's wild imagination. or rather...residue of the days he roamed the earth.Other windows showed footage of recent battles, mostly involving Spinnerax or Blight, the black Dragon who he had attacked not long ago. others showed sightings of other monsters, some in passing, others as they approached. one sighting in particular caught his interest. a silvery white draconic creature, sighted flying over Lake Erie, caught on camera and uploaded to Youtube at a location stated to be Lawrence Park Golf Club, in Erie, PA, USA. narrowing his eyes, Horus proceeded to access one of DHARMA's numerous satellites, coordinating his access to it with a simultaneous scan of his global maps, identifying the location and entering the coordinates into the satellite, soon bringing up a view of the creature. judging by the flight pattern, the creature had a heading. marking an estimated flight path brought it over many human cities, most notable of which was New York City....the business capital of the world. with a low growl, the Sentinel proceeded to adjust his trajectory, light flares of his engines moving him towards the Eastern shore of the United States, monitoring New York from the Exosphere, invisible to almost anything below, the occasional space telescope possibly having the chance of spotting him...

"You're hilarious." Talon replied sarcastically, looking up at REX with pride...

Eyes stared at the turtle-like creature not far away, its camouflage hiding it almost completely from view. Its powerful senses told it much about its prey, including just how much was beneath the dirt, the Hunter able to see the thermal signature of living creatures. For the moment, the beast was completely motionless, standing like a statue...

"So you take this thing up to the surface any time a mutant shows up?" Jackson inquired as he too appreciated the giant machine. There were others in the distance, seemingly eternally still; eternally silent. It was a cruel irony, the mechanical titans were imprisoned underground, while the tyrants reigned supreme above...

A dark shape slipped into Spinnerax's view of the Earth, the image magnified many times over, allowing the cyborg to see the tiniest detail of the dark scales that covered its body. Quickly the wasp pulled back, the figure shrinking down to a more manageable size. "This one...intrigues me" The cyborg thought as he saw the dragon pass, seemingly oblivious to him as he loomed overhead. He would continue to monitor the other cyborg to get a clearer understanding of it and designate it as a friend or foe.
