Gothmog studied the Carchar for a moment, before saying quietly, "Eradicus? That you?"

Eradicus turned in the direction of the voice and cocked his head, replying, "Gothmog? It's me, Eradicus, alright!"

Gothmog soon emerges from the bushes, the small Giga looking up at the much larger Carcharodontosaur. "It's good to see you again, Eradicus. I almost got eaten by a Gojirasaurus a while back."

"Good thing you didn't. I shouldn't have left like that just after we met, we should've stuck together for a while longer, sorry," the carchar responded to the giga, looking down at the younger creature...

Blade squeaked in panic as the two tumbled into him, the youngster twisting and wriggling in protest as they lay on top of him, wanting freedom from his fleshy limb-prison, flexing his toes and noticing a leg of a different colour reacting, the youngster sent into even more of a panic as he now thought the collision had changed his colours into those of one of the other two...

as that happened, Aurora returned, the dragging of the Tenontosaur corpse audible behind her, the female eyeing the youngsters through warm eyes. ever the charmer thought the female with a smile. just like his father...

"I had heard you, and went in the direction I heard your call come from, before picking up your scent and used that to track you more easily," Eradicus replied, his wounded eye closed, which was easily visible to Gothmog...

While Cirrus also fought to free himself, the black and red female hatchling who had been named Alira looked up and squeaked questioningly at the adults. Xanthe nuzzled Savarna affectionately before turning to survey his pack with a satisfied gaze. The hunting was good, and their numbers were increasing. One day, it might be Alira or Cirrus leading them through the years. Or maybe they'd leave, as their older brother Devaki had. Devaki had wanted to find a mate and start his own pack. Savarna and Xanthe hadn't seen or heard from him since the day they'd watched him leave, his stride confident and his shoulders set as if he could take on the world.

The alpha male was snapped from his thoughts when he caught sight of Aurora. The female who had joined the pack with her son not all that long ago. He got to his feet to welcome her back. He understood she'd been out hunting for quite some time. Whatever she had caught would probably hold the pack over until the young adults got back. "Prey running well?" he asked as he approached, cocking his head.

Gothmog nods his head, having noticed his friend's wounded eye. "What happened to your eye, Eradicus?" The young giga licks the wound on the side of his body, making sure it has scabbed and stopped bleeding...

Eradicus sighed, before hissing, "I was in a battle a few hours ago. I got slashed across the eye during the fight over the carcass of a herbivore, and had left a bit after that, against my own nature of fighting."

Back at the pack's main cave, Dequ and Sil were wrestling with a couple of youngsters over a slab of meat from the kill that had been brought back a few minutes ago, with the two friends having the upper-hand. Raque watched his daughter and her young, little friend from the darkness of the cave, directly under a small hole which cast some light into the darkened hole, which led to a few more caves through a tunnel system. Sabre and Lightning were close together, lying down on some stone and resting, leaning up against each other and a nearby wall...

Blade fidgeted, wriggling and twisting, finally pulling free, hopping out of the way, poking Alira's nose curiously with the tip of his own, cocking his head curiously, eyes wide. how was it that little youngster, even younger than himself, had caused such chaos? the concept of it couldn't fit in the poor hatchling's head, leaving him shaking his head confusedly over what had just happened...

"Not as well as I'd like" responded Aurora as she dropped the kill, the Tenontosaur's tail falling limply to the ground, joining the rest of the body, the corpse mostly intact aside from a missing leg and a partially skeletonised flank...

Alira rolled off her brother's flank, blinking at Blade and giving a questioning squeak.

Xanthe let out an understanding hum, eying the kill. There was more damage to it than he would have expected, but still enough left that no one could say they'd be going hungry until the others got back. "Don't worry about it," he growled. "Another hunting party just went out, so with this, there should be plenty for everyone."

Gothmog says, "Ouch. Who did that to you? When I get older, I'm gonna kill him..."

The allosaur duo awakens again and patrols their territory, watching for any sudden movements. This is where Pale Kaiser's pigmentation was quite useful; it allowed him to be spotted by creatures before it was too late, saving the duo from wasting energy on chasing smaller game (and predators) off.

"I can't say for sure Gothmog, but the creature looked similar to an allosaur, though was smaller than an adult," Eradicus responded, remembering the blurred sights of the large being that had attacked him.

Dequ and Sil continued to fight the youngsters over the meat slab, unaware of the largest of the five flanking around them to get it. The small female soon noticed and squeaked, before ramming into the other hatchling and knocking it off it's feet while falling herself. The other two piled on Dequ and pinned him to the ground, leaving him to watch Sil recover as he struggled with the others. Raque kept a careful watch over the five, as his child and her friend went for the meat after some time past, all five of them tired and hungery now...

Gothmog cocks his head before replying: "Did it have really small arms, or did it look similar to me?"

"I can't say for sure, but it might have had small arms like you say," Eradicus responded after a could of moments of recalling what the creature had looked like.

By then, Sil, Dequ and the other three youngsters were no longer fighting, but rather sharing the small meal they had, which was large by their standards. A few pebbles fell down nearby the group, causing Sil to jump, startled, and land on her back, causing her to struggle to get up quickly, as if though she were under attack and about to be eaten...

Gustav was unaware that his pressence on the beach had caused him great intrest. An Allosaurus was watching him with a surprised look on his face. Thinking how could any crocodile get that? The Allosaur decided to investigate, with a roar it appeared out from the trees. Gustav turned to face his smaller challenger, gurgling a threat. The allosaur lost his temper he's never been challenged by any crocodile before. The allosaur charged blinded by anger to where gustav lays, Gustav lunges forward as the allosaur unwittingly ran straight into the jaws of this massive crocodile, the allosaur screamed in pain and fear before its neck was crushed. Gustav let the allosaur's body slump to the ground, he wasn't hungry. Gustav laid back down on the sandy bank, gurgling in triumph...

Sand Claw was making baby steps back to recovery. The ceratosaur was trying to be able to walk normally again, with some success. The limp he had before was very obvious to any predators eye's, but now Sand Claw has reduced it to a minor one. His heart burns with a firy urge to find the raptor that caused him pain...

Steeltalon was once again alone, left to think about recent events. The fight. The Rex. Darkness....she frowned to herself. Why had she helped a complete stranger like that? She'd never done that before...add to that she had put her life on the line to give him time to get away, and he was friends with a Rex, and things got even weirder. The half-mutant shook her head in confusion. Well...it didn't seem likely she'd see either of them again. And by now, she was used to being alone.

Aurora nodded, smiling. "Just as I thought I had the kill, a Rex and Daspletosaur attacked it and brought it down. wasted all the time I spent tracking and crippling it. By the time I caught up to them, this was what was left" hissed the female through narrowed amethyst eyes, sighing in frustration. her eyes fell again onto the playing youngsters, lightening her mood. "If only we could all share that bliss, if only for a few moments" she growled, chuckling as Blade hopped to Alira's side, nudging her over and squeaking in response...

A wave of relief washed over the green and black raptor once he had found a creek within a fairly large but relatively shallow depression in the ground. The water ran off along the dip in the land for quite a long distance. Aircrest felt at ease; he could finally wash away the blood coating his claws and lose the underlying anxiety he had that he was being hunted, if only for a short moment. The slope down to the water was rock, craggy and rough and Aircrest found a few footholds that he could use to get back up once he was finished. With that, he made his way down to the creek, hopping from small rock ledges, noting the irony of his entire day. He awoke with a headache and found himself hopping down a rock face towards a basin. He would end his day hopping down to a creek, another pounding beginning to make itself known in his skull.

He dropped into the water, crouching down as the slow current flowed over his feet at ankle depth. He lowered his hands into the water, watching the trail of red flow downstream
