With a great splash an enormous deinosuchus leapt from the river's water, lunging at Razorjaw. Before he could grab Razorjaw the daspletosaurus leapt out of reach and landed a few feet from the croc's striking distance, hissing at him from a safe distance

The two soon reach the small half-way point to Eradicus' territory, a small clearing with a good amount of light. The carchar stopped and turned to his friend before hissing, "were almost their. A couple more minutes of walking and we'll reach the beach," before continuing on to their destination...

"Yeah, it could," Eradicus responded, stomping onwards, "though, we shouldn't think about that right now..."

Gustav gurgled a loud growl at the daspletosaur, annoyed that his ambush failed. Gustav then crawled out of the water to bask watching the Daspletosaur with a wary eye...

A flicker of movement could be seen, gone almost the moment it had arrived, as the two dark figures swiftly made their way through the forest growth. A slight thump was heard each time they landed, before launching themselves forward again, a few leaves scattering from the treetops and falling to the ground. As they progressed, they left a pair each of gouged, slashing marks on the branches they jumped off of, leaving a trail behind them...
They seemed to turn and move in another direction at random, but this particular pair were following a trail of their own. Disguised by plants, leaves, and twigs cluttering the floor of the woodland, there were a few pairs of tracks on the ground beneath them; they followed their quarry with all haste, not wanting to loose precious time, and attempting to overtake them.
"We've been going nonssstop for 2 days... and they're ssstill a few more daysss ahead of us! We can't keep thisss up, we'll be torn to shr- "
"We don't have time to argue about this again. If we go back empty handed, we may be torn to shreds anyway; it'd be better not to go back at all, in that case. But until then, we have to try for something, so let's just get it over with!" Bane snarled over his shoulder to Renegade, the two flashing through the branches of the forest canopy...

Sand Claw heard foot falls yet again, this time much smaller ones. They were coming from the forest, quick steps, predator steps Sand Claw thought. The realization that there were more predators didn't shock Sand Claw, in fact it awoke him from his bored feelings. Watching the forest for any movement Sand Claw waited...

Aurora chuckled at the description. "I can remember when I was a juvenile. My poor mother was almost driven mad" she growled with a warm smile, amethyst eyes seeming somehow distant, as if she were consumed by memories...

the massive predator strode proudly through the trees, weaving in and out between the massive wooden spires, head high enough to be just short of entering the canopy. Thrasher pushed out between the trees, entering a clearing, taking in the scents of his surroundings with a gurgling growl. there was a river nearby...there was also a small family herd of Iguanodon. the river would likely contain crocodiles. after having slaughtered that Deinosuchus earlier that day, he was in no mood to deal with them. the Iguanodons were a favoured prey of more adept land-based predators. but something his size would likely be enough to scare them out of an attempted attack....or off a convenient kill, should one be made before he got to them...

Xanthe let out a deep laugh. "I remember the trouble my brother and I used to get into," he growled, amber eyes growing gentle with memory. "Our poor mother." He chuckled again. "She always said the day we were old enough to leave the nest was the day we started driving her insane."

Bias continued to swim downstream, toward the beach. However, his eyes spotted a nearby herd of Iguanodont not too far frm the river's edge. But, there was no way for him to lunge that far and hope to catch one... The Deinosuchus snorted, before he continued on downstream, only his eyes and back visible above the water's surface...

Meanwhile, up in the swamp, the Styracosaurus carcass was still there, decaying, almost af if forgotten by its now dead owner... but now, it would be used as nurishment for a new predator, one not seen here in the swamps, and rarely in the rivers of Isla Sorna...

As Renegade and Bane flew through the top layer of the forest, crackling sounds could be heard occasionally, along with their footfalls; a weak branch splintering under their weight, perhaps, or a twig being snapped as they crashed through the trees at inhumane speeds. Bane's gait was longer than Renegade's; he seemed to fly much further with each jump, his feet touching down less often.
Very abruptly, Renegade came to a halt, staring at the ground below them. He swayed slightly to the side, trying to regain his balance. Bane, seeing him, let his momentum carry him from the branch he had jumped off down to the ground, skidding a little, before stopping several feet in front, his head twisting back to look at Renegade.
"They've ssstoped," he hissed simply.
"What? The only thing I see stopped is us..." Bane said, frowning slightly.
"The tracksss. They come to an end right here."
"What...?" Bane repeated, his scowl deepening. "How can that be?"
Renegade could only shake his head in response. Several explanations came to mind, but it was impossible to pinpoint a single one.
Bane lifted his snout upwards, testing scents. Frowning once more, he growled "Ach... it's impossible to track by scent, with the waterways so close. All the other animals on the damn island flock to them...
Could it be that they were attacked, by some other predator?"
the dromaeosaurus finished.
"Unlikely," hissed Renegade. "There'd be sssome sssign of struggle... blood, sssmashed trees, something. Either they figured out we were following them, and doubled back in their own footstepsss to stop us from finding them... or so that..."
The striped raptor quickly perked up, on alert, his keen blue eyes sweeping the green woodland around them.
"Run!" Renegade rasped at Bane, shooting past him and spiraling up a tree, fleeing.
Without hesitation, Bane followed him, leaping up and forward through the mesh of branches and leaves.
"What exactly are we fleeing from?" Bane growled, catching up with Renegade with a few powerful jumps.
"It's a setup. Just come on!" the raptor responded, without looking at Bane.
"There's no one following us," the black dromaeosaur snarled, looking backwards momentarily.
Just as he finished the sentence, a figure could be seen some distance behind them, pursuing the two...

Aurora giggled lightly in amusement as she pictured it. "I can imagine. Nothing could quite describe the shades of frustration, panic and infuriation that I saw my mother go through when I was young" she growled. a whine of frustration came from where the youngsters were, the female eyeing her son, discovering Blade had, with the other youngsters, almost finished the strip of flesh, feeling hungry and looking distressed as the other two were rapidly finishing what little remained. chuckling, Aurora leaned over to the Tenontosaur kill, ripping another large strip from it, dropping it by the youngsters, Blade leaping cheerfully at the new meal, eagerly boring into the meal, the bottomless pit that was his mouth continuing to consume the flesh, Blade showing no signs of stopping, an amused smile lighting his watchful mother's features...

Gothmog says, "You don't have to worry about that though. I do. I'm small, you are gigantic. That's the way the world works. I'll get bigger, but right now, I've got to be cautious."

"Yes, I do friend. Well anyways, we're here. It's not much but, that log, you can use it as a small shelter if you wish," Eradicus pointed out to his friend, looking at the massive, rotting trunk of a tree.

Meanwhile, Sil and Dequ tore through their shares of the meal slowly, while the slightly larger youngsters had an easier time with their share. Raque watched, worried about what had happened to Valu, seeing as she hadn't returned with the others. Lightning and Sabre, on the otherhand, didn't seem to mind much, but looked at the other raptor in the corner warily and at their hatchling, concerned for both...

Gothmog nods. "Thank you. It gets lonely living out there...."

The yonug giga soon heads towards the log, obviously glad that he found someone who cares about him...

The carchar growled in agreement and lumbered towards the small sand pit before laying down in it, his head faced towards the treeline.

Sil and Dequ, soon finishing with their meals, head towards their parents, seperating for the moment. The two younglings went to their nests, climbed in, and laid down, soon falling asleep...
