Random Topic V3

Got something to say that isn't fitting anywhere else? Post it here!

The problem seems to lie in the fact that you two are using two totally different philosophies. TT is saying that in fiction, all those different energy moves are counted serperately, so that one creature of magical being doesn't have an unfair advantage over the other ones. KP's logic says that because many of the monster's attacks use heat to work, they can be absorbed, but that would lead to KP's character to have an unfair advantage over many of the various monsters in GEW.

You guys should probably stop arguing and instead try to come to a logical conclusion to this pointless arguement, since it ain't going anywhere fast.

KP: Once again you are using real world physics for GODZILLA STUFF. Godzilla is probably the farthest thing from real. Sometimes, in order to make solid gameplay, you have to sacrifice realism, like in this case. Thermal energy does not equal plasma. You can pull out as many real world examples as you want, it won't change the fact.

And we will come to a conclusion, once we get Doc's take on it, as it will be a tie breaker of sorts.

I understand, HF...

And as for KP's stuff on making things realistic in the Godzilla universe... no wonder you ordered me to nerf Bagan's powers completely, and had me change the whole probe incident with the waves and the other stuff... GAAAAAH! Sheesh... Next thing, you'll make me be unable to use a giant centipede creature that can breath fire, or the Dimensional Tide, which, IMO, IS IN A GODZILLA MOVIE,YET BREAKS PHYSICS APART!!!

No we pretty much agreed that Bagan's original power was bull **** and the probe incident was stupid.

And a black hole gun is obviously too powerful for the E-war, so if you bring it in I will smite your face.

CS was talking about a valid survival technique used by Bear Grylls.

Yes, Galaxia, your laptop is broken...

And as for TT... I understand...

Now, time to sleep!

As for Bear Grylls... It's shows like Man vs. Wild and Survivorman that helped speed up my dislike for western shows... and pushed me toward Anime, which, in my mind, is actually entertaining, moreso than Mythbusters (Which I actually do like), and other stuff...

I'd be glad to apply Godzilla universe physics to the real world....problems is A) it makes utterly no sense [explain to me Alien Energy. there's a fun element for you. what does THAT entail?] and B) I have no access to any Godzilla material. now if you'd be willing to purchase me a copy of all the Godzilla movies, and send them to me, I'd watch and adjust accordingly. but the fact of the matter is that not everyone in that E-War knows the Godzilla universe inside out.

the reason real world physics is a viable option is that you don't need to know the Godzilla universe inside out to know how to post. keeping it strictly to Godzilla physics would make anyone who DOESN'T know how things behave in the said universe, leave because they can no longer post effectively. I mean if in the Godzilla universe heat doesn't exist in something DEFINED BY IT, what's left? nothing. makes no sense whatsoever. people who don't know would quite literally have to stop, go buy a shitload of Godzilla movies, study how they work, JUST to be able to post properly. real world physics is there in front of us, stable and unchanging. it's relatively common knowledge [water extinguishes fire, explosions have shockwaves as well as heat, water conducts electricity, so on and so forth], so there's much less need to be a literal know-it-all to be able to post comfortably. and that's not even counting the fact that the laws of physics in the Godzilla universe are never consistent, so the result is that by applying them, we'd all be thrown into chaos as at one point we mean something and the next, something completely different.

CS, I'm not saying Survivorman was terrible... It's just network decay that I hate. I mean, why are they even showing Survivorman on the Discovery Channel? Isn't there a better channel for it to air on that won't decay said channel? Plus, though it's not bad, it's just... boring to watch.

Oh, and I do know the Godzilla universe fairly well... or rather, the number of diffrent Godzilla universes(Showa, Heisei, G200, GxM, GMK, Tokyo SOS, and FW universes) Thanks, TK!

It was on science channel most of the time. And its appeal was this is a guy, alone having to not only keep himself alive, but set up his own shots. He did it very well.

Man Vs Wild though, I agree. I don't watch it, or I would watch little segments and laugh at it. The only appeal it has for me is that its easy to make fun of. But that would entail watching it regularly. No thanks

and we've all seen how that worked out for you in GEW, with things grossly over the top or grossly below standard. Thank you for that example, Gira.
