OOC:... Where the white flag when I need it? Seriously? Arashi... Now where did I put those Cynide pills?

The soldiers began to fall back, while managing to keep up their shields, this giving just enough room for the archers to fire their arrows into the creatures. From the side a thick, scaley neck swept through the group of Nethrezim, sending a few of them flying. Thems snarled as her 7 other necks darted into the group, before crunching down on the demonic creatures, her long fangs and intense bite pressure ensuring that a single bite was fatal, and that was without her venom... The guards and soldiers kept backing up, at first afraid of the giant serpent that had appeared...

Akuro looked around, noticing the inhospitable appearance of the land around him. The wolf-like demon snorted, not liking the sulfer in the air, before he continued of toward the structures...

Dione began to crawl away in fear, but the large boy grabbed her by the neck, and lifted her up with one hand, so that she was eye level with his zit-covered face. He spat in her face. " This park belongs to me and my boys." The bully hissed as he shook Dione violently, before stopping, his fingers digging into her neck, drawing blood. " No one else is allowed in here... and the penalty for breaking that rule.. is dea-"

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Lamia yelled as she tacked the large boy to the ground, forcing him to let go of Dione. The young girl landed on the snow-covered ground, the snow beginning to turn red with her blood. Lamia rushed over to her, to try and help her..

The attacks by the Orochi did more to harm the soldiers then the Nethrezim, who were either right next to the humans in close combat, or flying around in the air, their smaller size and aerial stunts making them nearly impossible to grab by such a large creature. For now, they ignored the Orochi, simply trying to stay alive when it was around, instead pushing the humans back even further, while others began tearing into homes, the gradual darkening of the city making them a hard target to hit while in the air...

Black spires soon began to come into view, along with smaller black buildings. in the center of a large magma moat stood a positively huge castle, monstrous, jutting spikes made from iron visible even at a distance, with a central spire that looked eerily like that of Barad-Dur. A single, iron-clad bridge served as the only entrance into the castle...

Arsenic, who had been keeping in contact with Aviva, gave a mental acknowledgement. You're probably right, Andruil. The animals of the area have fled....there's something out there alright. He touched Vix's mind to let her know of the danger, then turned his awareness to the area around them. Aviva was circling overhead, and Zar was already visible. The male dragon immediately sensed something was wrong from the agitated way his mate kept looking around and put on some more speed, wanting to get there in case something happened.

A cluster of four Demonic eyes watched the skies above the forest near the creature's targets. A Dragon. That was certainly unexpected. It wouldn't make a difference, though. Delay his attack, yes, but stop him? If they really thought having a dragon on their side would stop Sammael, they were sadly mistaken...

Suddenly, the scent of the demon became strong. Nitsunobue was sure that it was nearby by now. With a grunt, the horned tyrant begins to head towards the scent, intent on discovering it- and seeing if it is a worthy foe....

The Demon sense Nitsunobue as well, turning in the direction of the incoming threat. Another ally? It was time to find out. With incredible speed and agility, Sammael scampered up one of the nearby trees, disappearing into the canopy, and waited...

The beast's smell seemed to coming from a tree nearby. Nitsunobue crawls over to the tree, trying still to avoid detection by the party nearby. He growls, and begins to push his weight against the tree, attempting to knock it over...

Sammael watched silently as the new arrival attempted to knock down the tree he was in, and snorted. This would go either of two ways, the wyvern below would succeed, and receive a very nasty surprise, or it would give up and move on. The Hellhound had little time to deal with distractions such as these...

The horned wyvern grumbles angrily. The tree was strong- it roots ran deep. Shoving his tonnage against wasn't going to make it even lean. deciding to take more.... drastic measures, Nitstunobue lowers his form and digs his horns into the ground aroudn the base of the tree, using his muscular neck and strong horns like a plow. Nitsunobue strains from the force, attempting to rip up the trees roots instead of knocking the tree down.

"Move. quickly" warned Andruil as he upped the pace, the loud creaking and cracking of trees confirming the threat was close, and that it was large, also noting that the runes on his blade were glowing brightly, enough to illuminate the man's cloak. Shiryaz was high above, watching from above the canopy,, eyeing the movement of the trees, and Furax was scuffling with his steps, uncomfortable and agitated, snorting lowly as if to voice that fact...

Sammael growled in frustration. His quarry was escaping, all because of this... irritant. With a mighty leap, the Hellhound sprang from the tree's canopy, vanishing into another. He began to use the trees as cover and springboards, hopping from canopy to canopy to escape his pursuer and stay near his intended targets...

Nitstunobue sniffed the air as the being left the tree he originally was in.

"I will not lose this one," the horned tyrant thought to himself.

With a roar, the titan thundered after the demon, intent on a fight....

Aviva soared directly overhead, a growl rasping in her throat. As Zar rejoined them she explained what was going on as quickly as she could. Even as he started to move at a brisk pace Arsenic slipped an adata into a vial of Aviva's venom and made ready to throw at a moment's notice. One of the most toxic of his poisons, if it didn't kill the beast that was following them it would at least slow it down.

the series of crunches as the enemy moved from tree to tree alerted Andruil, who quickly moved the pace up. he would usually stay and take the attacker down, but right now, he couldn't risk any of his group being injured unless there was no choice in the matter. at the same time however, he couldn't risk moving too fast and leaving someone behind, or worse, be driven right into an ambush. the risks of the situation were unnerving, and Andruil was swiftly reminded of the days of the rebellion, when retreat was frequent, and risks were great...it was a chilling thought when one considered the death toll to this war would far surpass anything caused during the rebellion...

"It's turning away! keep going men!" called the Commander, the men attacking with renewed vigour, volleys of arrows and crossbow bolts striking the beast as it past, however useless the shots were, as the melee soldiers charged after the beast, clattering their shields with their blades, trying to scare the beast with the noise, hoping to drive it away...

The red head, still confused, breathed out another gust of flames, which, in addition to engulfing the soldiers wielding swords, destroyed many of the arrows in-flight. The other heads continued to scent the air, before realizing that the dragon had already departed, the hybrid's own wings spreading as it took to the air, each flap of its gargantuan wings causing a wind storm in the village, throwing loose objects in all directions...

Sammael continued his race through the treetops, rapidly outracing the larger and more sluggish wyvern. He needed to escape his pursuer, and prepare to intercept his quarry by waiting farther ahead. Hopefully, Nitsunobue would give up soon...

Tetto'eko, despite his age, managed to keep up with his companions with a brisk walk, while Mordecai apprehensively watched the trees from the Skink's shoulder...

Nitsunobue may have been weakenede by Zazikel earlier, but his will kept him chasing after Sammael. His stamina allowed him to keep up the pursuit as long as he was willing to pursue. However, the scent began to get fainter and fainter, no matter how hard he pushed himself to keep up. Snarling with frustration, Nitsunobue attempts to stun his quarry with his trademark move: his deafening screech. Slowing to a stop, Nitsunobue catches his breath for a couple moments, before inhaling deep. With shocking power, Nitsunobue unleashes the powerful screech, the high-pitched yell shattering the silence of the night. The shout startles hundreds of birds causing them to fly in terror, and the sheer power in the noise makes in reverberate in the chests of any within 100 feet, and threatens to permenantly destroy their eardrums...

Arsenic was keeping a sound mental bubble around the party. He'd try and sense the beast before they got to within a danger zone. Something big like that would give off a strong life-presence; it would be more like a flame than the small sparks Arsenic was used to picking up. When the earsplitting shriek reached him, his mouth stretched open in a pained yell that he couldn't give voice to; concentration broken for the moment, he clapped his hands over his sensitive ears. Vix's reaction was much the same, wih an added groan of agony. Aviva and Zar let out return, challenging bellows, Zar's deep voice undermining the high shriek.

Sammael was well out of the effective range of Nitsunobue's screech, though he did pause to shake his head in irritation. It would take a lot more than that to stop the Hellhound, however, who continued to outmaneuver his quarry, now far behind him. With luck, they would consider the wyvern a threat and be lulled into a false sense of security by the time they reached his new ambush site...

Tetto'eko stopped to slap his hands over his earholes, screwing his eyes shut and hissing in pain. Mordecai did the same as well, trying his best to block out the deafening roars of the wyvern, as well the dragons...
