The hybrid's approach was gradual and noisy, all of its heads looking to where it knew the dragon waited, a few sniffing loudly. The beast was a magnificent if not terrifying sight, its posture proud and its movements calm and graceful, despite its size, the ground shaking slightly with each step...

The Archers keep a weary eye, even despite being extremely bored. One of the guards comments on their vigilence despite obviously being bored.

"I must say, you've lasted longer than most individuals who come out to the walls do."

"It is our job," one archer replies.

"Got those Lithbolos ready?" another archer inquires.

"Yeah, yeah," the guards at the two large, wooden instruments reply. "We've got'em trained at the mountain pass."

"I wonder why Draco called us out here..." an archer ponders.

"He's a paranoid *******, that's why," a guard chuckles. "I would be too, after the rumors that have been gonig around."

"Oh?" one archer says. "What rumors?"

"Some bloke at the church says that Draco's behind Drakun II's murder."

"Pffft. Come on. Draco's crazy, but he wouldn't stoop that lkow.'

"I wouldn't put it past him...."

Laura says, "Why would the king punish you? He should be glad Draco didn't decide to feed you to Formidonis."

"Yes, but I still failed my mission. I would've gone at him tonight, when the lights in the castle had gone out, IF they did, had I not told you about all of this," Kiara replies.

The army marched on, using few torches to guide them, atleast two for each column. They didn't want to be found that easily, and the small usage of torches would most likely make it hard for them to be found unlike those at the walls of the kingdom...

"After what you did, Draco probably has his castle filled to the brim with his Royal Guards. Not to mention Immanis."

The archers and guards kept watch, knowing that the army had only one way to get in....

Soon enough, the lead archers saw the light from the torches along the wall of the kingdom, stopped, and soon the lights from their torches, just barely hidden in the first column by trees, all went out. The archers raised their bows, held arrows and pulled the strings back. They soon fired, and arrows flew into the air gracefully, before coming down in a rain of arrows.

Kiara nodded in agreement, before yawning. "Well, let's get some sleep now. We should be up early for tomorrow," she said...

The archers seem unaware of any presence until the arrows come into view. Their eyes widen, before one shouts:

"Take cover!"

Most of the archers and guards get below the battlements in time, but about ten are taken out before they get to react.

"You, go to the Palace and ring the bell!" a guard shouts. "It's the only chance we have to alert the soldiers and guards!"

The other guard nods and crawls low, attempting to avoid acher fire as he moves down the stairs...

The retaliation fire for the volley was a little less than fair.

"Aim.... FIRE!!!" The twin Lithobolos fire at the approaching army, a volley of flaming, 100 kg stones being hurtled towards their foes....

"TAKE COVER!" an archer shouted the second the arrows were spotted. The columns divided quickly as soldiers dashed into the trees, some getting hit by the arrows as they ran. Soon enough, a second barrage of arrows went into the air, followed by boulders from a couple of catapults within the back field of the army...

Zar, the faster of the two dragons, descended with almost alarming speed and put himself between the wyvern and the rest of the party. The low gurgling suddenly present in his throat wasn't a growl, though it seemed to be. He was collecting venom in the back of his throat. All Extraxl had the ability to spit. Though it used more of his supply of venom than a bite would, spitting it into the eyes of an enemy would cause intense pain; if not washed out within minutes, blindness followed. The venom would also burn the skin it came in contact with, not unlike acid. The red-scaled dragon eyed the beast that threatened his mate's allies, knowing that as soon as he spat, Aviva would be ready to attack with teeth and claws.

Arsenic reached out and grabbed Vix's arm, pulling until she was behind him, ignoring her glare. She still wasn't recovered enough to fight; her trying to would more than likely trigger another fit. His bow was drawn, a poison-tipped arrow nocked; ready to fire as soon as he could.

After abit of roof-top leaping, Guame landed on the far wall where the old lady was. He stopped, before something of a very faint smile appeared on his face. Having lived for over 300 years, Guame was much accustomed to magic, and was able to tell when such magic was at work. This, was one of those times... He approached the old woman carefully, not certain of what she would do...

Thems looked around, her sense of smell tellin gher that the intruder was leaving. Shaking her head, the giant serpent swallowed the creature, before she slithered off over the wall once more. She would stay near the city to protect what was her home... No matter what...

Akruo growled silently, before he moved on over the drawbridge and into the castle...

"It is terrible what has befallen this city." The old woman said shakily, bracing herself against the stone wall, though it was an act. "But they are not out of danger yet." she continued, as if not surprised by the beastman's appearance...

"This city normally has more guards defending it... but right now, they're spread out across the town of Germania, meaning those left here are fewer in number than normal... Those creatures, just what were they?" Guame asked the old woman, the armadillo leaning on his staff. He had heard rumors about strange dark creatures that feared the light, but he had never seen them before... if these creatures that attacked the city were indeed those very same creatures...

"They are nocturnal monsters from beneath the earth. Few have seen them and lived to tell about it, fewer still have seen them on the surface. Their presence here means much more then one might think." The old woman explained, shaking her head. "But they are gone...for now. There are still dangers that loom over this city."

[The Kingpin]

an angry snarl came from the chest as it suddenly lunged, Desrium suddenly being pulled out of the satchel, landing on the floor beside Septimus as the satchel sealed itself, a demonic roar coming from within before fading surprisingly suddenly, Septimus gazing at the armoured being with wide eyes. "Don't. taunt. the chest" warned the Dragon. the cracking of branches and footfalls of the beast in the distance pulled his attention back from Desrium, the Hueilin Dragon shuddering at the sight of it. He gazed towards the oncoming beast, then at the girl. "Was that the thing pursuing you?" he growled concernedly...


Andruil moved steadily towards Zar's side, not wanting to let the Dragon stand alone against the Wyvern, his stance wide, his blade at the ready, taking up a Scorpion Stance...

"Well this was unexpected" Desrium said simply, unnervingly casual given the circumstance. His bewilderment about the chained up chest did not show up, as he was suddenly confronted with two more objects of confusion, the woman not too far away from him and the steadily approaching behemoth. "Well then" The armored being added as he got to his feet. "I believe now would be a good time to start flying, friend"

The wyvern growled, as if taunting the Dragon, his eyes glancing back and forth between the half-elf and the winged creature before him. Suddenly Nitsunobue charges towards the dragon, horns lowered to gore, letting out a powerful roar to intimidate his foes into fleeing....

The catapult stones slam into the walls, causing cracks and decent damage. It wasn't much right now, but repeated blows would eventually smash it. The arrows clatter against stone and armor, before the Archers that survived pop up and coutner with their own volley, followed by more flaming stones from the Lithbolos....

The guard soon reaches the palace, ringing the bells of at the Palace. Hearing the distress, Guards exit the palace, and the footsoldiers and knights emerge from the numerous barracks in the city...

The populace is sent into a frenzy, going insane from the idea of an attack...

Draco awakens to the sound of bells, and Immanis standing at his door, armored up.

"Draco, let's go! there is chaos at the main gate!"

Draco nods, getting armored up as quickly as possible...

The fiery assaults from the Lithbolos can be seen from many of the towns in Draxon, militia marching towards the pass to investigate what is causing all the commotion...

The moment the wyvern's focus was on Zar, Aviva dove from the sky with a roar, talons extended to rip and tear at any flesh they met. She crashed into the wyvern's back, knocking it off-balance. She began kicking with her rear claws to rip deep gashes into the skin, while holding on with one of her forepaws and lashing out at a wing with the other. At the same time, Zar sprang forward to help his mate. His maw opened slightly and then his head snapped forward; there was a moment when a flying glob of clear liquid shone iridescent green, before it struck the wyvern in the face.

The claw marks drew blood, but only seemed the anger Nitsunobue more. as the venom struck Nitsunobue in the face, he let out a terrifying screech of pain and fury, his feet shoving Aviva off with little trouble before smashing his tail into her side, the crunching of bones being audible....

Aviva let out a snarl of agony and rage. Zar, infuriated, lashed out with a weapon usually reserved for a last resort; fire burst from his jaws, scoring a direct hit, adding severe burns to the damage done by his venom. Aviva, though injured and struggling to get out of range of the beast's tail, added her own fire to the male's attack, scorching along the wyvern's exposed flank.

The archers attempt to take cover again, but this time they lose even more, before sending a third volley of arrows at their enemies. A ramming platform on wheels, covered by a wooden roof to protect those underneath from arrows, is pushed up to the main gate. Soon enough, it is smashed twice by the ram, as the crew prepare for a third hit. More platforms with wooden roofs are moved up to make a sort of tunnel for soldiers, while boulders smash into the walls again...

The archers occasionally pop up to fire at the opposing archers, losing a good number to the previous volley from the opposing team. They ignore the battering rams for the moment, knowing they cannot harm them, save for one archer firign a flaming arrow at the thing. The heavy stones from the opposing catapults begin to take their tolls on the wall, chunks of the battlements collapsing and large chunks being knocked from the heavy stone structures. Stones fire out from the Lithbolos at one wooden structure before it comes too close, smashing it, before the other fires at where the opposign archers are assumed to be. Footsoldiers and knights soon stand behind the gate, readying their weapons for when they are forced open, as more troops come out from the barrackses. The guards stay back for now....

Draco is soon armored in his.... well, armor, and heads out behind Immanis.
