Watching a vid of the new Rathian Subspecies in MHFO. That thing is has enough tricks up it's claws to make veteran Rath hunters reconsider their initial thoughts about it if they thought it wasn't going to have much in the way of new attacks.

The craziest thing is that it remains permanently enraged until you kill it. According to the MH wiki, you can also repel it much like Garuga in MHF1.

More like a Rathian that has strength close enough to rival that of the Fatalis dragons.

As I understand it, its like some twisted cross between Rathian, Los, Espinas, Plesioth, Tigarex, and Gravios. Probably uses more moves similar to other monsters as well.

Though, I haven't fought a Rathian I couldn't beat with ease, so I remain skeptical. Too bad MHFO will never come to the US.

It's tail and head crest are suprisingly strong, as I'm near the end of the first part video and they are still intact. She also can also do the "backflip without warning" trick like the G-rank Rathians in MHFO.

Yeah, its funny how the camera guy in that avoids most of the new attacks then gets clobbered by the classic ***** flip.

If a Rathalos counterpart to this Rathian gets made, then it'll probably have some more dangerous form of it's poison claw attack, perhaps being able to strike one person with the claw attack, then targeting and striking at another before landing.

A new Ian, I see? I've hunted over 100 Ians in Tri, and I highly doubt I'll fight one that's too hard to kill...after watching the vid, the Ian does look tough, but nothing an experienced hunter won't be able to handle...

That said, Silver Hypnok with Lao Shan Lung music is EPIC!

Rathalos is 10x more annoying than Ian, so a god mode Rathalos would be terrifying.
