As Dante tore at the Edmontosaurs windpipe, Erosion lept into the air and landed on the edmontosaur. She began tearing at its stomach with her claws and teeth, covering them in the dying herbivores blood.Erosion began to eat the still living herbivore as Dante finished it off.

The moment Sylicora heard her father's call, she stopped her retreat, barked out a reply of her own, and began to carve a new path toward his position, hopping and weaving through the stalks as best she could, making a racket in the process. Rhojis continued on through the trees at a slow run, using the calls of his family members as beacons to guide him toward their location. At another quick bark from Beryl, the off-white-striped juvenile adjusted his course, noticing the forest thinning around him. When he thought there was a good chance his voice wouldn't be muffled too much by the foliage, he let out two sharp barks to let them know he was coming...

"Well I did pretty well, didn't I" The green raptor thought as he prowled through the field, stopping dead in his tracks when he heard the two new calls. Another male, younger than the other one. If Aircrest heard it right, it would mean the newcomer was some distance ahead. "Managed to keep myself alive by relying on my wits...and speed" He mused as he turned off to his right, trying to avoid crossing paths with the raptors. "All that struggling comes down to this...hiding from my own kind. Just when I start thinking about the future, my life hangs in the balance" His eyes narrowed at the thought and it was then the raptor knew that now wasn't the time to start lamenting on his life. There was still much for him to do, and he intended to live long enough to do them...

The Rex hopped over a fallen tree, landing on strange, unusually firm ground. the young Rex glanced around, trying to figure out what was so strange about his surroundings. he knew something was off, and he knew it was so wrong that it unnerved him, and likely scared off all the wildlife that normally would be in the area. but he simply couldn't figure out why. as he slowly stepped forward, a loud clunk sounded out, the Rex nearly jumping from shock, his eyes jolting towards the ground as he craned his neck, leaning back on one foot, the foot that had hit the ground when the sound was made held off the floor, the Rex seeming oddly unbalanced. as his cyan eyes focused on the source, he noticed a strange shimmer on the floor. it was like a solid river, reflecting light, though this was much straighter than any river water he had ever seen, and flat. as the Rex raised his gaze from the floor, he realised what was so unnerving. the unnatural vines and strange tree-like pillars were all around him. And it seemed in these few moments of silence that he was utterly alone. As if all other life had suddenly ceased to exist. this place was dead. nothing lived. he couldn't even hear the roars of other predators in the distance anymore. the Rex shuddered as he continued walking, seeing a strange rectangular cave in the distance....a possible shelter until he could gather his thoughts and leave this place. the thing that unnerved him most....was the feeling he was being watched by the lifelessness that surrounded this place......he had no idea how right he was....

Rook had since risen from the carcass' flank, and headed into the jungle, leaving the scraps for whatever predators came to claim them. though with the corpse of a Tyrannosaur and a Barosaur laying in the middle of the plains, there was no doubt that fights wouldn't start for a good while yet....

Father and daughter exchanged another set of barking calls before the two finally met when Sylicora nearly stumbled into the rusty raptor in the grass that was now so tall she couldn't see over the highest stalks even when she stretched to her fullest height. "Are you alright?" Beryl growled as soon as the panting juvenile appeared. "Yeah, but there's... another raptor close by... might be dangerous..." "Are we in its territory? Did you smell any markers?" Sylicora shook her head. "No... just appeared. Didn't see, hear or smell anything." Beryl paused, raising his head momentarily to scent the air before fixing an intense gaze on the smaller raptor. "If we work as a team, maybe we can drive it away." "But dad, I don't know if that's a good idea-" "Would you rather let it tell its friends that this territory is up for the taking? Sy, you know as well as I do that it's easier to drive off a single scout than to wait for the whole pack to show up at the cave door..." Sylicora wanted to protest, but the determination in his gaze forced the retort down. "Rhojis is on the way, and I think he might be coming in on one of the intruder's escape paths. If the three of us converge on it from three different directions, maybe we can drive it directly away from the cave. You'll need to split off back to the path you came in on, or there will be a gap it could slip through. Can you do that?" Sylicora looked unsure, but nodded stiffly anyway. "Good. Now go, quickly," the rusty raptor finished in a low growl before moving away, leaving a trail of gently rustling grass in his wake. The olive female turned and reluctantly walked back toward her previous path. Hearing no further calls from his family, Rhojis just continued on at the same pace, in the same direction, the forest growing ever lighter around him...

With steady deliberation, Aircrest inched his way through the grass, rounding about when he heard a rustling in the area ahead. The other male was entering the grass... and in effect became the green and black raptor's target. He started to think of his hunting tactics, his instincts guiding his movements. "Keep low, keep downwind. Don't make too much noise" He told himself as he honed in on the sound, adjusting his heading as he seemed to get near. At this rate, he would be at the pursuer's flank and if he was fast enough, could pick hom off without alerting the others...

"Thank you." the female Dilophosaurus growled at the other dilo as she neared her. "Tell me, what is your name?"

The male Kaprosuchus burst through the undergrowth as he made it to the riverbank. The croc hissed as he began to sniff around for the raptors, but they were already long gone. He had arrived too late to teach them a lesson...

Flare, still panting, slowed stopped to breath for a second, "Flare, and may I ask what your is?" She said in a friendly hoot, as she swatted at some bugs.

Erosion noticed the Herbivore had stopped twitching, indicateing dante had finished it off. She moved over slightly to allow Dante to feed on the animals backstrap.

The Kaposuchus growled at the GIga, before he headed off back into the forest. If he could just find something to eat...

"Once again, thank you for helping me out." Twincrest hooted in return. She looked at Flare rather curiously, noticing the diffrences between herself and Flare. WHy was it that this other Dilophosaur had a frill, and she didn't? She shook her head, shaking the question out of her mind. "And here I thought I was the only Dilophosaur this far north..."

Blackside and Monozu finally stopped, both still no tlooking at one another. THey had arived at a cave, one which entrance was covered with vines and thorns. Both carnviores moved into the cave, shoving the plants aside. As they entered into the cave, they coul dhear in the distance a loud, trumpeting sound. immediately, it wasfollowed by other sounds identicle to it. Both carnivores laid down to rest, knowing that the source of the sound was a walking buffet, but since both of them had already eaten their fill, they weren't intrested...

However, Bias, upon hearing the sound, homed in on it immediately. The Deinosuchus swam upriver right toward the source, unaware of the Female Mosasaur and her young not too far behind...

"You might have done the same if you had been in my position." hooted Flare. After snorting and whipping her head to the right, avoiding a large dragonfly, Flare leto ut another calm hoot, "My kind normally stays in the southern and eastern, somtimes straying into the plains. But I followed a herd of dryosaurs here, they where my main food source, untill a Tyrannosaur killed off most of the herd's adult females. Nasty things, larger carnivores." Flare looked slightly uncomfortable next to the larger female. She hadn't met a no-frill before.

Erosion dug into the dead animals ribs, covering her head with even more blood. She ate normally, listening to the sounds of the surronding jungle. The chirping of small birds, the calls of large herbivores, an the unmistable bellows of a Tyrannosaur.

Tsar tore out from the treeline and broke into the plains. The Large ubll rex uttered an earth-shakeing bellow, scareing off most of the smaller animals around him, and alerting a herd of uguanadon to his presence. He was back in his territory.

Tremor continued swimming upstream. The water had begun turning a lighter green, as it was much shallower compared to the ocean waters she normally swam in.

Twincrest nodded. "Larger carnivores are indeed quite th epain, but atleast up here, there's slightly less competition for food than further south. Down there, there's simply too many other small carnivores for me to find a territory, so I went up here. Thankfully, there's fewer small carnivores, but a lot of larger ones... not too long ago, I was driven off my kill by a Tarbosaurus..." Twincrest chirped.

Once Sylicora thought she had put enough distance between herself and her father, she turned and began walking on her original heading, unsure whether the raptor was even in her path anymore or not. Jumpy and unsure of herself, she kept low in the grass and tried to be as quiet as possible, keeping her senses alert for signs of movement. Meanwhile, Rhojis had slowed down a bit, the grass limiting his visibility, the sound of his own footsteps masking most other sounds around him. He couldn't detect any sign of the others, but it didn't worry him too much that their calls had stopped. He figured it was probably just a false alarm, and that when Beryl finally did find him, he would simply tell him to go back to his patrol. Still, he didn't want to turn around before he got the all-clear from the adult...

Narrowed amber eyes peered through the stalks at the gray and white raptor, the green raptor finally within range to strike. He was careful to stay just out of the raptor's path, moving just off of his rear flank. Aircrest was a phantom, his body disguised in the field and his eyes eluding the light of the sun, preventing their bright gleam from drawing his target's attention. Swiftly and silently apart from the rustling of the grass, Aircrest leaped into the air, swinging his legs forward there after. His clawed feet collided with the gray raptor's side and promptly sent him into the ground, the breath knocked right out of his lungs and preventing him from calling out to the others. Aircrest stood in a low stance upon the raptor, letting out a rattling hiss as he parted his jaw, exposing his needle-like teeth. Taken by surprise and robbed of the ability to call for aid, the downed male would prove easy to dispatch; allowing Aircrest to leave the area while the scent of his blood occupied his peers...

The strike came so unexpectedly that it took a moment for the off-white striped juvenile to register what had happened. One moment he was walking through the grass in search of his father, and the next, dull pain shot through his ribs and he found himself on the ground, gasping for breath, something heavy threatening to force out what little air was left in his lungs. He tried to cry out, but managed only a meager whimper and a few wheezing coughs as he blinked against the grass fronds, staring with one wide yellow eye at his attacker. Paralyzing fear threatened to engulf him as he sputtered wordlessly for a moment before managing to rasp something comprehensible between jerky, shallow breaths. "No... D-don't hu... hurt me! Please!"

Aircrest stood up and raised a foot, the sickle claw in strike position, his amber eyes showing the concentration of a predator about to make the kill. He was ready to stomp down on the raptor's neck, the deadly sickle slamming down into the gray raptor's windpipe before being dragged across, leaving a grievous wound. Before he did though, he took into consideration that this male wasn't much younger than himself, judging by his appearance and scent. He put his foot down behind him, on the ground rather than the raptor's side while he was seeing the fear in his eye and voice. It was undoubtedly the same look he had during his encounter with the rusty red elder, and during the battle with the brown Velociraptor. That split second of him relating to the gray and white male made him reconsider his intentions. Over the course of his short lifetime, he had many close calls with death, and here he was, poised to take the life of another even younger than himself.

After lingering for a moment, the green and black raptor let out a gruff snarl, stepping backwards before shooting off into the long grass. He wasted enough time with his hesitation, now he had to leave before the fallen raptor could recover from both shock and the blow. He couldn't be near here when the call for help was made.

For a few long moments after the green raptor disappeared, Rhojis lay still in the grass, trying to recover his breath and assure himself he was still in one piece. The situation went by so fast, he wasn't sure if he quite knew what happened. Finally able to take deeper breaths now that the weight was off his rib cage, the gray raptor rolled into a shaky crouch, wondering what possessed the raptor, who he was sure was seconds from killing him, to leave. He remembered the calls of his sister and father and thought it possible that the attacking raptor might have seen one of them nearby. "Dad?" Rhojis croaked, his voice not as strong as he expected. "Sy?" But there was no answer. If they were close enough to be seen by the intruder, they would have heard the gray raptor's voice. His breathing starting to slow to a more normal rate, the juvenile got to his feet, wincing slightly at a dull flare of pain in his flank, and made three low barks to summon his family, the sound weaker than it would usually have been, though still loud enough to meet the ears of the dull red-orange adult, who promptly let out a strong reply of his own and broke into a trot. A few seconds later, the higher-pitched voice of Sylicora, and the sound of crunching, swishing grass met the gray male's ears...
