Deka fluidly moved across the floor, covering the space in moments, ending up in the shadow that Draco was casting in the swallowing darkness of the dungeons, silently following him...

Draco approached Immanis.

"The treasury locked?"

"Of course," the burly man said. "Why wouldn't it?"

"Good," Draco said. "I was just making sure. Don't want Formidonis having nothing to guard, now do we?"

The newfound king pets the drake on the nose, as it lets out a friendly growl.

"Alright, I'm going back up," Draco said.

Immanis nodded and soon began to head up as well. Formidonis smelled something ominous in the dungeon, and begin to growl defensively...

Deka's form rose out of the long shadow cast by Draco, blocking their way back up.
"I'm afraid not... it's time we had a discussion about this amulet of yours, King Draco," the Shade said, his own shadow starting to grow larger...

"Depends on whether or not it has the time. If I were in it's place, I probably would wait....though I can't imagine what it wants with us" growled Septimus as he lifted his head above the surface...

"Maybe it would like to have some honey. Or perhaps it has a few words to exchange with Angry Box" suggested Desrium. His eyes flashed a few times, bright crimson bursts of light that eventually lasted, bathing a small area ahead of Septimus with scarlet illumination...

On the shore, a large, uncontrolled bonfire blazed on the sand, fueled by broken pieces of wood, which appeared to be ripped from some larger object. Nearby, the massive body of the hybrid lay, one head covered by what appeared to be the roof of a wooden hut, the multi-headed dragon snoring loudly as it slept. A relatively short distance from the shore, further inland, a village was in turmoil, the denizens panicking after their some of their structures were destroyed, while others were left with parts missing...

Both Guame and Djinn looked down at the small lizard, a non-existant eyebrow being raised in curiosity by the armadillo beastman. " Great to see your still alive in that form, old woman..." Guame mused, smoking on his pipe before he handed it to Djinn, who put it away in one of her pockets. "Now, mind telling us why exactly it's hopeless to fight back? Who are you, and what was that...thing that came here, and why?" These qere questions that Guame especially wanted to know, but Djinn...didn't really seem all that intrested. She just stood back, and nodded, almost as if she knew what was going on. This didn't escape Guame, who eyed her curiously as well as the winged lizard...

"To explain would put us all in danger. It is the knowledge I possess that drove it here." the creature explained, wings fluttering to life as it took off, hovering at eye level with the two. "I am Tzeentch, and I have seen what this being is capable of. That is all I will say, for now."

Draco drew hellrender, which glowed with a fiery light. Draco felt a slight tingle in his arms ad his head, but he was able to fight off the sensation. Immanis readied his axe, adopting a stance to use it if needed.

"And what ABOUT the Amulet, shade?" Draco growled.

"You will surrender it to myself and The Shade Construct for examination, immediately," Deka responded, his shadow occupying more of the passageway still...

"Now why would I do that, shade? Did you not already exmaine what was needed to be?" Draco said, Hellrender's blade still glowing red.

"Draco, this is not a creature to be trifled with," Immanis warned. "Perhaps it would be wiser to leave it be."

"I have no need for a fortune telling artifact... no, if there was to be an object of true power around here, it would be the amulet you describe. It would only serve your interest to cooperate with me, before this turns to a more persuasive form of... discussion."
Deka's faintly glowing eye narrowing, he added, "You may consider taking your guard's advice..."

Draco's blade ceased to glow, and it was soon sheathed. Irritation was evident in his eyes, but what was he to do? This... this CREATURE.... had killed his father, so he was technically indebted to pay it back. But why did it want that amulet? It is but an heirloom.......

"Very well. But if you harm any of us, be warned: you will not escape this room as you stand now."

Draco gestured to Immanis to open the gates. Immanis did so, and, with Formidonis still chained to the wall, Deka was gestured in....

Inwardly, the Shade smirked, thinking, No, I certainly wont.
To the Drakon, Deka nodded, the blanketing darkness he'd been casting behind him ceasing, swiftly pulling back into just that, his mere shadow.
"A wise choice. If this one does not turn out to be what we seek, it will be returned. If it does... we shall see..." the Shade trailed off, stepping forward...

Formidonis roared menacingly at Deka, but Draco waved his hand to the beast.

"Sssssh, Formidonis. Pea Entandre. Uropos fieu, Draga," Draco said in Draxon. Formidonis immediately calmed down, but still glared angrily at the intruder. Draco followed Deka in shortly after and opened the lock to the treasure vault. There we many treasures, but the Amulet of the Draks was most prominent, having its own pedestal.

"Go on, check it," Draco said.

Deka's shadow wavered as the dragon roared, before becoming static again. Aside from that, he gave no indication that he had heard it. He stepped partially into the vault, then hesitated. He was not sure what kind of signs this thing would give off, were it a relic.
He placed his black hand over it, his shadow all but disappearing to the unwatchful eye, as it became identical in shape and size to that of the amulet, the Shade invoking his power of mimicry.
Almost immediately, he knew it was one of them. The effect had been like those Exi had described with the Illusionist's Tablet; he could feel a great surge of energy and power flowing through him. And just to make sure, he turned around, facing Draco with his hand out, palm upward. On Deka's command, a small flame rose in it, extinguished moments later as he closed his hand.
"You should feel honored... you hold with you one of the mighty Immortal Relics," he said with a hint of arrogance to the King, his eye gleaming as he held the amulet. "Or did, rather," he finished with a soft laugh...

At that point, one of the shadows in the chamber suddenly sprang to life, a black tendril lashing out and wrapping around the amulet in Deka's hand, before yanking it away with supernatural strength. The shadow grew, several more tentacles of darkness joining the one that now held the amulet, as did the shadowy silhouette of a draconic head and neck, its eyes small orbs of purple flame. Zazikel stared at the amulet quizzically, before looking at Deka. "You're right about one thing, assassin: the amulet certainly has changed hands..."

Deka's eye seemed to reveal a smirk, his form relaxing, rather than tensing.
"A valiant effort, demon. You can do nothing without the power to invoke," he said, choosing his words carefully.
"It will do you no good, just as will opposing us," he finished.

"That matter is simple to resolve," Zazikel said casually, dangling the amulet from a tendril like a plaything. "If I can't torture the information out of you, I'll simply find another. All good things come to those who wait, after all..."

Seeing zazikel, Draco backed off from the two, failing to answer Deka's question. Immanis, terrified of the creature, backed off as well, as did Formidonis, he snarled fearfully at the Archdemon, sensing his great power....
