I made a new character in Skyrim. He is a Khajiit kung fu master named Master Bojangles.
He steals everything in sight and doesn't afraid of anything.

CS, if your Skyrim was bought through Steam, odds are the saves were sent to the Steam Cloud. therefore, formatting keeps your saves. same as Dawn of War II and other non-Valve Steam games would.

My family has a rule we started a while back, After October 25 I have to wait for Chrismas for any new Games, so I haven't got Skyrim yet. To be honest this is a better system because before I'd get all my important gifts ahead of time and Chrismas became less special. 
Ah well I'm not really funny bug prone anyhow, I played F:NV and the only glitchs I encountered froze my computer.
