Diablo lifted his head, arching back to snarl at the raptor. He picked himself up for a moment, walking away from the annoyance. He assumed the same position a couple of feet further from the raptor. He couldn't wait till he had the opportunity to leave this pest and go back to the way things were.
Well James Bond Chinchilla and Monsta Pacman gets old after a year or so of absence. >_> Methinks I'll leave this blank until I come up with something to put here.

Aircrest followed after the Rugops, his initial distrust and caution replaced by a curiosity. He was testing the predator's patience by now, safe in the knowledge that the cave was too small for it to turn around and snap at him. By time it made the move to attack, Aircrest would have been well out of its reach, ready to evade its attempts, a task that didn't seem hard to do given the creature's hunting and fighting experience. Smirking, Aircrest growled "What's the matter? Did that run really tire you out? I thought that meal would have given you some energy for once, Redhead!"

"I'm telling you, I heard something over here!"

"Yeah, and that automatically means free food?"

"Maybe we can steal something, I don't know. Just roll with me on this, okay?"

A pair of raptors, their pure white scales rather obvious despite their attempts to stay in the undergrowth, followed the scent of... well, it was a lot of things. Raptors was the most recognizable scent, and the omnipresent stench of Compsognathus. Another, larger animal was somewhere nearby as well. Allosaur or something similar. There was also some sort of conversation going on as far as they could tell, but the raptors were confident that they were quiet enough to be unheard themselves. Unfortunately, the albino raptors didn't realize just how loud they were actually being...

"Hide" hissed Fatalis briefly, before suddenly leaping, disappearing into the canopy of one of the lower trees as he picked up the voices of predators coming close...

Aurora nodded to the pack leader, managing a small smile of gratitude before she moved towards the kill, ripping off a few strips and gulping them down, eating just enough to sate her hunger, before taking a particularly large lump, slicing it from the kill and carrying it in her claws, before biting another large strip off to take back to the nest for Blade, Alira and Cirrus. just as she stepped back from the kill however, a gurgling snarl reverberated in the treeline, dozens of yellow eyes staring out from the shadows around two ice blue ones, as a large pack of Spinosaurs emerged, each easily 50 feet long, the central one being a staggering 65 feet long, skin resembling the trees around him, the ice blue orbs of the behemoth staring down at the Allosaurs as his long snake-like tongue flicked across his massive fangs. "How kind of these Allosaurs to catch a Sauropod for us. It appears it's true what they say about their generosity, wouldn't you agree, brothers?" rumbled Thrasher as he glanced towards the Spinosaurs at his flanks, the ones behind him moving to his sides to form a wide, arcing line, partially surrounding the Allosaurs, a series of hissing chuckles coming from the predators as their leader spoke...

Redtooth's own chuckle was rather rehearsed and half-hearted compared to his brethren, drowned out by the surrounding Spinos. While he had no qualms about stealing prey from other carnivores if he had to, it was usually just a simple, straightforward thing: a good roar, maybe some displaying, and he had a meal. He wasn't too keen on overkill, however, unlike Thrasher...

Ignorant of the fact that they had been overheard, the albino raptors continued their hissing, not-so-quiet whispers. At this distance, they could be discerned as a male and female.

"Look, all I'm saying is that we should be a little more careful," the female hissed, annoyed.

"And we ARE. All we have to do is sneak in, grab a couple slabs of meat, and make a run for it. We can find bigger stuff later."

"And if we get caught?"

"We won't, trust me."

"Humor me, Crash."

"Fine, fine. If, and I mean IF we get caught, we just book it as fast as we can. Easy-peasy."

"Yeah, if we were back home, where it's open and dry. But we're in a wet, colorful, closed-in jungle. Face it, Crash: we're useless in here. If Sharpclaw--"

"With all due respect, Brighteyes, would you shut it? I am well aware of our current predicament, but we're the pack's best scouts, so let's act like it, okay?"

"...alright, alright, fine..."

Steeltalon swarmed up the tree nearly as fast, the half-mutant only stopping when she was sure the leaves below her hid her from view. Not for the first time she was glad for the broken black stripes and spots along her back and flanks; her outline was less easily picked out in her surroundings.

Xanthe tensed, the alpha male's amber eyes flicking from the abnormally large Spinosaur to those it had with it. Even as he counted, he knew there were too many to fight; one or two of them, the allosaur pack may have been able to drive away, given the advantage of numbers. But so many of them, and so much bigger....Xanthe was no coward, but he knew a good leader needed to know when to fight and when to back down. Most of the sub-adults looked absolutely terrified, and more than one of them were already edging back, towards the relative safety of the trees. One or two had drawn their lips back, showing their teeth. Xanthe barely turned his head, casting a quick glance around at his pack, noting two or three besides Alira held chunks of flesh in their teeth or claws, to take back to the ones who had stayed behind. Flashing a look of deep loathing at the biggest spinosaur, he growled, "Take it then." Surprised gasps from the sub-adults were quickly hushed by nearby adults.

the Spinosaur simply smirked slyly as he watched the leader through heartless icy eyes. "See what I mean brothers? the most generous of predators. Always willing to give" hissed Thrasher as he took a stride forward, flexing his claws as those at his sides hissed their amusement. "Perhaps that's why they're stepped on by everything else" added Thrasher tauntingly as he moved forward, Aurora staring at the predators hatefully, as if hoping her gaze could burn a hole through the predators' hides. still, she dared not retort, as much as every fibre of her being screamed for her to do so. She had a hatchling to care for...provoking an attack over pride wasn't something she could afford to do...

Meanwhile, Crusher lay, completely content in ripping mouthfuls of flesh from the Homalocephale, not even bothering to stand, eating from his crouched position by the riverbank, a pair of scarlet macaws flying past overhead as the roar of the waterfall drowned out most of the sounds in the distance. Living alone DID have SOME perks. there was no arguing that...

Sparks of anger flared in the alpha at the comment, but he bit his tongue to hold in the first couple of replies that came to him. The brief sharp pain and the taste of his own blood were enough to dull the anger to a manageable level; without a word he bent his neck, tore a chunk from the carcass for his mate, and backed away, never taking his eyes from the fish-eaters. He could hear one of the younger allosaurs beginning to snarl a reply, and silenced her with a shake of his head. He could feel the disbelieving stares of the sub-adults on him, could almost taste the fury of the pack as a whole. A fight with the odds stacked against them wasn't something they could afford though. Gradually, the other adults followed their leader, urging the youngsters away from the kill. Xanthe heard one of them whisper, "That's ours! We caught it; they can't take it like this!" Xanthe didn't bother putting down his mouthful to tell him otherwise; he backed nearly to the treeline before he dared turn his back on the group of spinosaurs. A growl rose in his throat as he looked back at their leader. He never forgot a face...especially when the instance of their meeting was so memorable. If he got the chance to pay this brute back one day, he would gladly take it.

Red had never seen anything like it, he had been sleeping in the undergrowth next to the lake when he heard the frightened cry of a Homalocephale as it jumped in his sleep. It wasn't until he heard the Rex did he start to wake up and violently at that. He looked in the direction of the disterbance and let his jaw fall slack at the sight of them both dropping down into the lake. It took Red a few seconds to recover his composition, he got up but tried to stay hidden, his natural camoflauge letting him blend in with the undergrowth. He then watched the rex travel through the water like a Deniosuchus and catch the herbivore. He'd still been watching the rex up to this point, finally he decided that this was more interesting than going back to sleep. Red started trotting over, trying not to hide himself from the young rex but neither appearing hostile.

Crash cautiously poked his head out of the underbrush, looking around. Brighteyes closely followed suit, giving an amused snort. "Congrats, Crash. You found a dead Compy. Sharpclaw shall reward us greatly for this!" Crash glowered, unamused. "Cut me some slack, Brighteyes. At least it's ungua--" Crash paused, looking around as the two albinos stepped into the clearing. "Wait, I could've sworn I heard talking near here." "Must've scared them off," Brighteyes replied. "Ugh, alright, I get it, I screwed up! Happy now?" Brighteyes smiled and nudged her packmate with a pale white forearm. "Hey, I'm just kidding around, Crash. At least we don't have to fight for... um, well, it's honestly not that worth fighting for anyway..."

Redtooth frowned, following carefully after Thrasher and hissing quietly, "Come now, brother, let's just take our meal and leave them be. No need to antagonize where it is unnecessary..." He didn't dare say anymore. Being family had its perks, but Thrasher wasn't really known for his merciful side...

Crusher munched away in satisfaction on his catch, still dripping wet from the lake, droplets running down his scaly black and grey hide, the young Rex ripping away chunks of the Homalocephale and swallowing it down, only barely paying attention to the Utahraptor approaching him. But once he was sure it wasn't going away, he stopped, turning his head to stare the Raptor right in the eyes, growling "Looking for something?". this raptor's scent wasn't accompanied by others. at least, not many. So he knew it wasn't part of a pack. That in turn, meant he wasn't at risk of being ambushed. So he was not bothered to get up from his meal to face the predator, in spite of it's size. If it had wanted to attack, it would've rushed in while he was still distracted, and slashed his flank open...

Thrasher did little more than grunt his acknowledgement. Perhaps he was getting carried away. perhaps having finally gained the position of the most powerful predator on Sorna was getting to his head. building up a collection of enemies was not in his best interests regardless of his position. He watched the Allosaurs enter the treeline, before digging into the kill, shredding the flank with his talons before ripping mouthfuls of flesh, gulping down strips of the tough Sauropod's flank hungrily...

as the two Albinos talked, the sound of rustling erupted in the bushes all around them, moving like a wave in a circle around the duo, an eerie hissing chuckle coming from the bushes as Fatalis circled them rapidly, using his experience in maneuvering through the undergrowth to his advantage, outpacing what most Raptors would think was possible in such heavily vegetated terrain...

Redclaw diddn't slow down but he did pause every few steps, making head bobs and a quiet gurgling noise usually made by curious Utahraptors. He looked over at the Rex, seeing he was rather young, if he wanted to he might be able to bully him off his kill but Red wasn't hungry, having stumbled across a unguarded Suchio nest. The scent of Fisheater eggs faintly noticable on the air. "HHhhhmmmm, I've never seen you before... your a wanderer maybe? A young Rex who left his family in pursuit of Territory? Oh maybe you had no choice in that matter," Red growled.

"What do you think?" growled Crusher simply, curious to see what the Raptor would say, as he took another bite from his kill, gulping it down. at this point all fear he had for the Raptor had dissolved. It had made it obvious it had no intention of hostility, so he felt no need to return the sentiment...

Crash and Brighteyes perked up, looking around warily. "Don't tell me they followed us..." Crash hissed, obviously panicked. Brighteyes nudged him sharply, gaze still on the surrounding undergrowth. "Don't be stupid. Those... things already got what they want. This is something else..."

Razorjaw crashed through the green thicket and gloomy thicket of the forest in search of the para herd. Not much light got through the roof of plants and leaves, all in a slow arms race over the bright sunshine that fuelled them, because of this the daspleto had to rely on his sense of smell to find what he was looking for.As he walked along the cries of small dinosaurs and animals emitted from the forest floor no doubt disturbed by his presence

Aside from a few browsers there weren't many big dinosaurs in the forest probably because between living out on the wide open plains and having to move around in the dark and enclosed spaces the former would seem like the option most dinosaurs would go for,it's places like this that creatures like the big eyed troodon were right at home. After some time of walking the forest began to open up and visibility increased and the creatures accustomed to the dark of the deep forest began to become scarcer and the smell of prey became greater.Razorjaw slowed his pace,if prey was near crashing through a forest out into the open would surely give him away,he slowed down to a slow walk and followed his nose

"F-following?" Crash stammered, not doing the diplomatic job very well. "W-we weren't following a-anyone! We... we, uh, just need a meal for our pack is all! No harm done, right?" Brighteyes said nothing, merely placing a foreclaw over her eyes in exasperation...

Redtooth silently and discretely took his share of the Sauropod's flesh, dragging the meat a short distance to eat in peace, without his fellow Spinos getting in the way...

Red stopped a few feet away more or less out of range of a quick attack. "Well... this young you must have had some reason to leave, be it you got pushed off by your father... or his Successor..... I'm not doubting your tough, that you can't handle yourself," Red answered. "But you seem like you have a few more years before you'd be eligable for leaving your family, I've met mature Rexs before be they loners or holders of territory, unfortunetly not often from a comfortable distance." Red contiuned, pausing to make a soft churring noise like a reptilian laugh. "In any case, I won't pry for answers, if your not comfortable discussing it just say so, I have no interest sturring up a fight, course I'm not suggesting your a hatchling either, but as with most others there are two different periods of time where we come into our prime, the first is reaching maturity, the second is reaching our veterancy."

"I was never forced out by my family. They were taken from me though" growled Crusher, his tone shockingly casual despite the fact he was speaking of the death of his family. "Big feud between my family and a large pack of Spinos....I don't remember what happened....All I know is that whatever they did, it cost me my family" added the Rex halfway through swallowing a mouthful of the Homalocephale's right thigh muscles...

in that moment of distraction, Fatalis burst from the undergrowth, pinning Brighteyes to the ground and knocking Crash back with the impact, one of Fatalis' killer claws poised right over Brighteyes' lower stomach, his clawed talons over her throat, any injury dependent on whether the Raptor was foolish enough to struggle. "It's not wise to lie to Roamers. We aren't as friendly as normal pack Raptors" hissed the black and grey Velociraptor menacingly...

Crash jumped back in surprise, forearms splayed aggressively, though the look on his face suggested anything but. Brighteyes was wise enough to lie still, glaring daggers at the raptor above her. "I'm not lying!" Crash hissed. "Seriously! Our pack is starving! We--" "Crash," Brighteyes growled as best she could. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" "I'm trying to keep you from getting gutted, so shut it!" Brighteyes looked s if she was about to say more, but decided against it. "Alright, look, whoever you are, we're not exactly from... around here. We've barely been getting any food since we're no good at hunting in the jungle, and we're just trying to get by! You understand, right?"
