Let me put it this way, if halo was never made Fable would have become it's posterchild! It's basiclly a Fastasy Mass Effect, It blends many different game types, it's damage system works like a RPG, You can go awkward FPS with the Bow, It's mainly 3rd person hack and slash. For good or for evil, their are also special weapons and a few shortcuts if you search for Silver keys and work out demon doors. Before the GOTY version: Lost Chapters, the most powerful melee weapon in the game you earned through the keys was Your mothers Axe, I've forgotten the name but It's shaped like two eagle wings and does A wopping 180 Damage without aids from Augments, Strength boost, or magic enhanciment. Only thing is that you have to find all twenty keys before the end of the game or you lose it forever, that means no fighting the end boss for the only weapon better: The Sword of Aeons (damage 200 at the cost of killing your blind mystical Sister). Beyond simply game mechanics and the depth of the main story there are a number of side quests to draw your attention as well as simple pleasures like shooting gallerys, Buying houses and renting them out, Chicken punting (very fun), Fight club (The last one is a pain but so worth the 10 grand), marring spouses and listening in to the
*moderated for my own sake*, Drinking yourself blind and going on a rampage after lossing all your money on gambling tables, a
*and again* in the middle of a werewolf infested black woodland. The list goes ON!

It only got better in Fable 2, unfortunetly Fable 3 fell short in my books, I lost interest before I even finished!
"We all go about our daily lives, waiting for the next big thing, the next cool trend, even the smallest bits of info on anything happening, but what we're really waiting for... is for something interesting to happen to us, thats what draws us to the rich and famous... we want to be like them... I don't, I'm fine with who I am... and you should be too" - RT3
