That's really cool. What sort of tools did you use? and how long did it take?

Glad ya like it. I can't remember exactly which brushes in Photoshop I used, but they were fairly large and soft to get the 'painted' look of the background. The lander and raptor were done with progressively smaller ones. I added another layer for the light rays (which were drawn with the lasso tool, then feathered, filled and faded.) I'm not even sure how much time I spent, but it couldn't have been longer than three hours total.

I've been getting ideas again lately, so I might be uploading something else in the near future... might even finish up an older doodle...

Okay, I lied. Well, half-lied. This image is actually several months old. I know it isn't a flaming budgie raptor... I'll get there. :P

Thanks. And you're right on. The background's from EVE Online, minus the comet.

Also, the sims are wearing jackets patterned after the ones in Star Trek Online. XP

And also, (wasn't sure about sharing this one, since it's a rather personal character with an odd origin.)

I really like that picture. I love the look in his eyes (eye?)

The boarder also creates a really nice effect. Cool.

Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't originally going to put a border on the flying raptor. Glad the experiment turned out well. XP

That space cessna was really fun to do. I'll probably be making some more composites like that... (not necessarily with planes... I have something in mind that comes from World of Tanks... >_>)

(Oh, and I have another older doodle of that same raptor as something a bit more raptor-like, if you want to see it. At least he has arms and legs... and wings... and a tail fin..)

The raptor looks dead IMo. Awesome pic, though!

Don't know quite what to say about this... It was one of a group of nutty ideas I came up with a while back...
