"That depends," the entity replied. "If you stay out of my way, you may live as you see fit. If you resist my efforts, or I have sufficient reason to dispose of you, I will erase you from existence."

"You mean, besides the two invaders in my home?" the simian growled from the darkness, the eyes reappearing. "I suppose I am a little hungry."

"I've known hunger. I don't feel it here though, there is a lot of power here. Do you feel it?" Desrium replied, spotting the golden orbs in the dark again.

"I haven't the need for power," the ape creature responded, dropping down from the darkness, his staff held by his tail. The simian made his way away from Desrium and his sleeping ally, toward the mouth of the cave.

"I suppose that's fair..." Zazikel hissed. "As long as your plans don't involve taking full control of Aster..."

Desrium cocked his head, staying seated for a moment more before getting to his feet and following after the bipedal simian. "You do not make this cave your home because of the energy it holds?" he asked as he caught up with the primate. "Why do you then?"

"Taking control?" the entity growled. "I couldn't care less about the pathetic little vermin that inhabit what you called 'Aster'. But it is mine and mine alone."

"It offers shelter, and isolation," the simian responded, hurrying out of the cave and onto the small outcropping along the crevice.

"I see. My friend's bags offer the same. Except for Angry Box. It does not like me, I think" Desrium went onto say, stepping onto the outcropping and looking down at the vegetation sprouting out from the cliff side. Large trees obscured the very bottom of the chasm, hiding whatever danger awaited should the Blood Omen fall...

"You may want to stay here with your friend," the simian suggested, looking down at the bottom of the crevice. "I'm not sure you can keep up."

"I will find my own pace, stranger" Desrium replied. It was unclear if his nativity had returned, or if he was truly capable of scaling the rocky slope...

"Does a farmer explain to the vermin why is exterminating them from his garden?" the entity replied simply, once again irritated. "Take from that what you will."

"Just know that I will not carry you like your friend does," the ape creature responded, despite having only encountered the two after they had landed, or so they thought. The simian launched himself at the cliff face, scaling several feet of rock in seconds...

Desrium watched the primate go along on his route before searching for his own, spotting another outcropping about 5 feet away, vines hanging off of its underside. The Blood Omen backed up on the rock platform and crouched onto all fours before charging forward. He kicked off of the edge of the outcrop, soaring over the gap despite his heavy armor and slamming his hands onto the edge of the other platform. He hauled himself up with shocking ease and he searched for other footholds he could use to move across the cliff...

The simian continued to ascend until he came to another opening in the cliff, although one much smaller than that of his home, and the ape-like creature disappeared inside without hesitation.

Spotting small breaks in the slope, Desrium jumped up from the platform and gripped the cracks with his hands. Hanging from the cliff face, Desrium began to climb slowly but surely, grappling stones sticking out from the surface. Some gave way under the strain he put on them, but he barely had a reaction to the unnerving occurrences. Instead, he looked for the next closest foothold and continued upwards, eventually coming to another outcropping. Another powerful leap from there brought him to where the primate had entered, where Desrium opened his maw and tasted the air. By scent, he would be able to track the reclusive creature...

The cave was a narrow tunnel that led through the cliff to another face, although one on the edge of a large valley with an equally large lake at the center. On the other side was a small outcropping at the edge, much like what was found at the other cave mouth, the simian no where to be found.

Zazikel narrowed his eyes. "...very well. For now, I will assist you in... whatever it is you have planned..."

Desrium peaked his head out from the tunnel, the sun's rays reminding him of its presence as it made its journey across the blue skies. A few shadows passed overhead as colorful bird-like creatures flocked into the surrounding treeline. Their bodies were large, their legs tucked into their plumage, giving them a streamlined shape as they cut through the air. Their necks were long and their heads strangely draconian, with long beaks that might as well have been snouts. Their tails were also long and rigid in flight with large broad feathers fanning out from them, along with quills at the ends that varied in color. One particular specimen had silver quills with black rings running along them as they trailed it in flight. The Blood Omen's attention caught by the group of avians, he did not notice the straggler that veered off from the rest. It landed above Desrium, the fluttering of its wings and the scraping of its talons on rock clearly audible. The armored being turned around to face it, its colors vibrant as the sun shone down on it. A dazzling green and blue with long red and yellow spines arching from the back of its head, this bird wyvern was only a juvenile, but already it was almost as long as Desrium was tall. It cocked its head, icy blue eyes staring down at the red eyed entity and it made a strange trilling noise. Desrium greeted the creature with a simple "Hello"

A large shape shot over Desrium's head, the bird wyvern disappearing in a puff of feathers as the larger beast soared past, narrowly missing the Blood Omen's head with its tail. The creature, evidently some sort of dragon, consumed its prey loudly, crushing flesh and bone alike with its powerful jaws, flying around to make a pass at the remaining bird wyverns, which had begun to flee in fear after the first was caught. The scene above was a stark contrast to the pristine landscape below, the frightened sounds of the bird wyverns piercing the stillness of the valley, while their pursuer roared in response, the sound drowned out by the sheer size of the area.
