Gira, difference between a Hydra and Orochi: zilch. chop off the Hydra's heads enough times and it IS an orochi. it's Hydra in Japanese, pure and simple. the varying traits are never concrete, and differ from one representation to another.

Also, might I point at the fact that half the characters in the RPGs and E-Wars, if not more, are in some way or form, a modified version of something else that already exists, in RPG/Popculture COUGHMineneCOUGH

I think my point is clear.

I'm not gonna deny that I like using premade characters. :D Why else would a Diablos be in FRPG, or a Warhammer Chaos Knight be in SHRPG?

I will admit, pre-existing characters are ideal choices... but what I was saying was not in reference to media, but to what other users were doing. If everyone started pulling out Kitsunes out of nowhere, then I'd get a little concerned. Same would go for KP if every other character made was a dragon that was suspiciously similar to Septimus/Arashi.

As for the diffrences between Orochi and Hydra... I'll admit that the details aren't all that specific. aside from the fact that all Orochi's have 8 heads, and Hydras can have differing ammount of heads, they'r emore or less the same.

That is all that I have to say on the matter. Tune in next week, when we tackle the argument of shapeshifting in the RPG's!

You can probably just google "airstrike GIF" and something's bound to pop up.

Watched a playthrough of Godzilla: Monster of monsters. It looks like a pretty good game, but Gezora can certainly be a pain to fight thanks to his habit of trapping you in the corner to keep you from attacking him and to waste time so that you'll lose some seconds from the 40 second time limit.

What is going on...

I can't access any other site other than RPGT. Even images, linked from other sites, are missing to me.

I heard that the entire internet is going to go to sleep becuase of a fuckin' SOPA protest. it hasn't hit me yet, but we'll see.

EDIT: Here's the email I recieved:

Tomorrow, January 18th, 2012, will be the largest internet protest in history. Thousands of sites across the internet, including some of the biggest in the world, will be blacking out and directing people to contact Congress to kill the web censorship bill, SOPA and PIPA. We want to get you involved.

Join us on the historic day by blacking out your site. Copy the code below and paste it into the header of your theme (Wordpress users: use the SOPA Strike plugin) to black your site out in protest of SOPA/PIPA. It will activate automatically on Jan. 18th, displaying this page and directing visitors to contact Congress, and will deactivate at the end of the day.
<script type="text/javascript">var a=new Date,b=a.getHours()+a.getTimezoneOffset()/60;if(18==a.getDate()&&0==a.getMonth()&&2012==a.getFullYear()&&13<=b&&24>=b)window.location="http://sopastrike.com/strike";</script>
In just 7 days, the Senate will vote on forever altering the free and open internet by instituting a new regime of extra-judicial, corporate-led website takedowns. This is a fundamental fight about who has power in society -- the people with the means to communicate freely or the governments and corporations that feel threatened.

For the full state of play on the censorship bills, take a look at this infographic we've put together. Click here. The clock is ticking, and we're still 35 senators short of the number we need to kill the bill.

If you're on Facebook or Twitter, please use these links to spread the word about the protest: (doesn't work)

Thank You!

One can only hope more than three million voices crying out against the bill will be enough to stop it from beign passed.

RPGTopia is an international site, so it wouldn't make much sense to shut down for a day to get members to contact congress when there are several non-American members. The Americans among us are free to do so if they feel the inclination, and I actively recommend it to those with the ability to do so.

RPGTopia will continue as usual, though let it be known, to anyone who has any doubt, that SOPA is not supported by RPGT.

True. Sites like Facebook and Twitter can't be shut down either; numerous people would throw a fit. XP
