Good for all of you but I'm unfortunetly up SH*T creek without a boat :hang: I have been assaulted by over 300 viruses last night, after AVG scanned and healed most of the damage their are still threats lurking about coaxing more of them back, my computer is barely holding together, my choices, try to jury rig my way on my personal computer and risk contiued attack or NUKE MY ENTIRE SYSTEM and try to be like the Phenoix. :-_-:

Your opinion guys?

My advice:

1) Download Avast! anti-virus.
2) Kill your internet connection.
3) scan the PC with AVG.
4) Do a boot-time scan of your entire system with Avast antivirus.
scan for remaining threats.
5) repeat until your PC is clear of viruses.
6) Reconnect the internet.

Flying Dutchman: Welcome back!

Good to see you, my eld friend! Don't worry if your RP sucks, it takes a while to get back in your groove.

Well, my first order of business now that I'm back will be to burn down a town after properly raiding it, like a gentleman.

But, before that, I gotta kill a few compies.

IA: :| WUT U INSINUATIN' ?

KP: Is Avast! a free program?

Doc: Considered that, but a lot of them had wormed their way into memory and certain drives, I'm not sure that will work without corrupt data issues

Congress dropped SOPA because of the protests against it.

They didn't drop it, they shelved it. It gives us time, but it and PIPA are not dead, only mortally wounded. With as many big corporations backing them as they have, they can't truly die. But we've proved a point, that's for damn sure.

Too right we have. :3 Some big names supporting it backed out when so many protests were heard. At least, that's what I was told.

If it comes back, we'll be sure to hit it with the internet's wrath again until it disappears once more. We will do it for as long as it is necessary!

RT3: Yes it is. there's a better, professional version that costs money, but there's also the free one which is still really really good. Kept my PC clean of viruses for years before I updated to Windows 7 Professional and used Microsoft Security Essentials [which came with it].

Anyone else following internet news? Anonymous is going completely BATSHIT over MegaUpload's shutdown by the FBI. MPAA, FBI, DoJ, WMG, Universal Music and dozens of other major SOPA supporters' websites, both Government and corporate are being shut down via mass-hacking.

It's like a World War online. World Web War I, anyone?

You know, my RL computer nerd friend had a feeling **** like that would happen.... copyright laws and "government abuse" (real or imaginary) don't go over well with an army of angry trolls.

LOL.

No.

DDOS =/= Hacking. While I think the incident with MegaUpload deserves some retribution, its basically them taking down a few government/corporation websites (which aren't used very much anyway) for a few hours. Its not groundbreaking and completely pointless, basically.
